Was on here good few years back and when rejoined to see if it's improved (it hasn't it's worse) I immediately saw the same profiles and photos from 3 years ago. So not only lying about their photos they also seem to be serial daters

This site is totally overrun by single mums. I must be old fashioned but I wouldn't bring a child into the world unless in a loving relationship in which you can financially support said child. Lot of profiles say READ PROFILE FIRST & then follows a whole shopping list of what the women wants. Only missing from the ridiculous OTT list are bananas and muesli.

Beware the only headshot and no body. A few extra pounds normally means they are the size of a small country.

Weirdly the fatter and unattractive they are the nastier their profile normally is.

I actually put no single mums on my profile and lost count I got called a stuck up c*** really classy women soon show their true colours

I've been on pof for 4 months. Plenty of attention, but no dates. All of the guys I've talked to are terrible. Some only want hookups while writing they were looking for long-term relationship. There were a bunch of scammers (read https://www.einnews.com/pr_news/*******/china-born-romance-scam-spread-overseas-cyber-forensics-net-alerts-dating-app-users) pretending to be Chinese American men (at least 20 of them chatted me up). They were all handsome, in mid-thirties, and been in America 5 years, although their English was all horrible, and they all insist on speaking in Chinese. They all want to chat on WeChat or Whatsapp, where you can send money. Their strategy was pretending to be very wealthy by showing pictures of them on vacation, in mansions, and in first class airplane seats. They all claimed to be investment bankers, who loved to travel, golf, skydive, surf, cook, drink coffee and other obviously fake hobbies. When I asked where they have traveled in America, they re-direct and talk about being too busy and traveling in every single country in Asia or Europe. Yeah right. They lie about simple things, such as claiming to cook a fancy meal whose picture they stole, claiming to work while talking to me throughout the day sending one message every two minutes, or claiming to know the area but wouldn't tell me where they went hiking. One hispanic guy spent 2 months talking to me without meeting up, so I knew he was unattractive. When I asked to meet up, he said his profile picture was from 5 years ago. His real picture is of a 50 year old man with white hair, overweight, and looked nothing like his profile picture, which was of him when he was 31. Trying to catfish me! Waste of my time!

These scammers ask for my number in there very first message. Pof is full of scammers. There's more scammers on the site, then their is real people. Why can't you do a better job moderating. The app has gone to complete $#*!. 8 out of 10 profiles are fake, people trying to get your number or direct you to another site so they can scam you. I literally have went through about 25 fake scammer profiles in the last 30 minutes on here. WHAT A JOKE! I counted 19 fake profiles in a row back to back, while browsing, before i found 1 that i believe was real. I found 2 that i think might have been legit so far. Pof used to, years ago be good and there was actually real people on it that you could meet an not get scammed, but now because you can't do your job correctly, the app is 99% scammers, all trying to scam you. How did you let your app be taken over by scammers? These scammers post there headline on there profile saying blowjob.com or some other sexual induendo trying to take you to another sex site where they can scam you. Plenty of fish doesn't care about there people or their safety at all. Should be called ( PLENTY OF SCAMMERS) I'm leaving and going to match.com or E harmony. I will gladly pay for a quality and legit app with real people then use this app for free. Nothing but scammers and fake profiles.
I can't imagine your making any money off the app because who would pay to talk to fake people and willingly offer themselves up to be scammed, proboly from some foreign people from Bangladesh or something. Definitely going to leave this review for plenty of fish online, in the hopes that it will help people in the future who ever think about using the site.

Man, I was on this site for at least a year off and on. All honesty I'm like a 7/10 nothing too great but I'm not ugly. So I'm thinking yo, I'll find someone whose close to my age and fun.

Nah. Not the case at all.

Unlike many people leaving reviews I realized that the girls in my area were actually people I went to high school with at some point. I'm 26 now and seeing their pro pics was a little weird at first. All that being said let me tell me you about my experiences.

In my 1 year I had about 30 girls with kids message me saying hi. I was very attentive to them and answered appropriately until I realized they just wanted a sugar daddy. When I backed off they got mad. Dumb $#*!.

I messaged about 50 girls a day for 2 weeks. Almost trying to see how many girls were real or would even respond. To my surprise atleast 200 females didn't reply to me at all. 20 females did reply only to tell me they didn't like black guys and another 20 replied to tell me that they aren't looking for a relationship...

Wtf, I don't get why you would be on this dating site if you don't want to date anyone.

My conclusion after a year is this. More than 80% of the females on the site are looking for guys to tell then they are hot. It's all ego. They don't respond to anyone who isn't a model type. Trust me I even played games and posted a pic of Ari Shapiro from NPR and birches went crazy talking like 60 messages a day from females. Basically ugly, fat and egotistical girls sit back on their phones and let good guys go for the guy who can any girl. They live off the "hey you're cute" messages even though they say they hate it. It's hilarious to me. Too many stupid females just looking for ego boosts. I'll pass.

Also after reading these reviews I think it's pretty obvious a lot of females find their love after waiting but lets be real youre picking and choosing from 200 guys a day probably. SO YEAH! I think it's obvious why THESE HOES FIND LOVE.

I recently decided to try online dating for the first time and decided to give this site a shot because it was the most popular free site, and I wasn't looking to spend money on something I wasn't sure about anyway. I made a profile and uploaded some pictures and waited. Sure enough I was getting tons of messages a day from guys in my area. I was excited about the good chance at meeting someone, since it's hard to do so once you leave college, have a job, and aren't thrilled about meeting guys at the bar. I found out rather quickly though that most of the people on the site aren't people I was even remotely interested in. Middle-aged men constantly messaged me asking me if I want a sugar daddy or a lot of guys looking for sex. Now, I understand no matter where you go or what you do you're going to get people like that, but it was ridiculous. Out of all of the messages I got I only got a few that really made me want to talk to the guys. They seemed normal at first, but then if I wasn't able to meet up/reluctant to yet would get irrationally angry, acted like they were in love with me and said really obsessive things before even meeting me etc. And a lot of these guys were very attractive and seemed like they had a lot going for them in their lives. I was getting more and more frustrated because I wasn't finding what I wanted at all. I met with a few guys I talked to for a little on the site and I can tell you none of them were how they made themselves out to be over the internet. Pretty much to sum up this site it consists of people looking to hook up with people in their area, people with mental/psychological issues or people who are completely socially inept. Waste of time if you're actually looking for a serious relationship and want to meet someone.

I WAS on here about 4 years ago and I left because it was awful. It's now even worse which takes some doing and amazed it's got 3 stars. The women are ruder pickier nastier, act more entitled and just worse than 2015. The lists of what you must face to qualify has gotten longer as has the demands such as MAKE ME LAUGH or ONLY SAY HI AND YOU'LL BE DELETED.

I swear within 10 minutes of browsing I saw tons women on POF from my last time in 2015 with the exact same photos as then. So not only are they lying about how they look but how can they be on a site totally overloaded with men and not have found anyone? I used this app back in August 2016, I was just thinking because I'm watching what to watch in Netflix and I saw a movie about a girl who wants to sue a dating app, and I forgot to ever thank you this app, who made me meet my husband, was the only person I met and date with the app, I met him in person an August 28, and 4 years later we got married an August 28, we quickly deleted the app, because we knew we didn't want to keep talking to other people, so I barely used it, I didn't pay for a premium membership, I know he used it a little longer than me, and he dated other girls, and he did even pay a premium membership, but from my side I just want to thank this app, to lead me to him, I'm happily married, IDK if it was luck or the app, but I really want to thank for lead me to this wonderful man, I want to let people know that no love is easy, there has been many hard times, many times we were about to break up, but we work through it, and here we are today, everything is about boundaries and the willingness to make things work, and If you are in this app, just trying to find someone to screw just talk straight, so not play with peoples fellings.

Signed up and within a hour or two got loads of meet me messages. They were all fake profiles all wanting me to. Email them (it's not safe on here lol) or click on their site

If you're looking for a relationship like these claim why would you put your main photo of you in a bikini or one with your breasts hanging out leaving nothing to the imagination then have the audacity to complain men only message for sex? Anyone who has an ounce of common sense and who wasn't craving attention would realise what kind of men pics like those would attract so would put normal pics up

It seems true men will **** anything. The amount of unattractive overweight women on here who mention in their profile what they want and don't want is laughable. They should be grateful anyone messages them. MUST be real desperate men on here. The attitude by these women is actually quite amusing. Then there's the other kind. The strong independent type who love to say they don't need a man. They're normally teachers, whose only love is their job. I have registered with POF 3 times in the past and I always wondered why there were so few replies when my messages were respectful and positive. Occasionally I would get a message from a member that had just closed their account so I began to piece the vague evidence together.
I think the vast majority of profiles are fake. I think POF is behind this because all of the scammers use Google text accounts that look like phone numbers. Many of these so-called members just start asking personal questions just like a hacker trying to collect information. They come on real strong if that doesn't work they magically disappear the next day. This makes sense only if there is a scam going on.
As far as the real profiles. They are the bottom of the barrel types of people. Women in their mid 30's to 50's who have listed their longest relationship as being 2 or 3 years. What does that tell you? That should be a red flag for any man seeking a long term relationship and not thinking with his $#*! all the time. In other words for you who are slow on the uptake. It implies that the woman sleeps around a lot, has commitment phobia, or both!
I don't think POF gives a damn about the integrity of their dating site because they merely sell their lists of millions of free members to advertisers, and that's where their revenue is generated besides conning guys with fake profile replies that get them excited enough to upgrade their account. READ THE REVIEWS EVEN ON THEIR OWN SITE THERE ARE NEGATIVE REVIEWS BECAUSE THEY DON'T EVEN POLICE COMMENTS MUCH LESS THE SCAMMERS, RECRUITERS OF PORNO HOOKUP SITES, OR PROSTITUTES. They booted me for 2 reasons. 1) Because I reported all the scammers I came across. 2) Because I called out all the women who had fake profiles full of contradictory verbiage that did not make sense. For instance 90% of all profiles say, " Casual dating but nothing serious" or "Want to date but nothing serious". What conclusion would you draw? Then some of the women actually said, "Am in a serious relationship but just want to date someone on the side. Don't judge me or you'll be deleted!" What dating site that had any integrity would allow such BS?

In order for this site to have 3 stars they must be from 2003 when you had a chance at meeting someone not today

When you finally finish wading through the TONS and TONS of fake profiles and ones trying to sell you nudes which must be 70 percent of the site you'll come to the real women and wish you hadn't bothered

Plenty of Fish... well this lake is not actually a lake. Its an office or dungeon with 40-50 year old computer sloths that run the show and play god! Conventional wisdom will tell us that love isnt something you go looking for, but at some point in your life bumps into you at the supermarket, at a football game, friends bbq, someones wedding etc etc. Yet for some reason we have all fallin for this fake fantasy that online dating is genuine and the way to go in this day and age. I am believer in love! Ive believed in it a few times in my life and will continue to do so as im an old fashioned romantic. I feel shame and regret in myself for being takin in by these so called "matchmakers". There are no sites at all in the online dating world that arent out for devastation and financial gain. Sure there are reviews about people citing all the great things about them but come on... we all no reviews arent formed by actual individuals. We are smarter than this. Heres my review ladies and gentleman... in poem form. Tonight we sit on our phones/computers piling through dozens of profiles of can he/she be the ones... hoping to find love and happiness in a digital age, glamorized ads that promise they are the best and all the rage... at what cost do we put on our hearts to find a match, all the while these heartbreakers are laughing at us while we look for a catch... im not impressed at how the year 2015 i was takin for my money, just to find a beauty i can call my honey... take heed all you lonely and dismayed, do not use any more dating sites because you are going to get played.
