I am truly disappointed that priceline has a no refund policy for car rental. It is almost unethical, in these dire times of a pandemic, to issue a non-refundable service or product. I have booked a rental for 4 days in which it have never been touched or moved out of the parking lot as travel was cancelled for me. To issue a a complete non-refundable is a theft in itself as there would be no other service or cleaning fees that they would use, the car rental would also be fully available on those 4 days that I initally booked it for. Unfortunately, I have neglected to read the fine print but a great company would review things on a case by case basis. Priceline is not consumer friendly and I will never book with them again because of this. As a healthcare worker, I have always made sure that care was given tailored to patient on a case by case basis. Priceline is not reliable and in these dire times, I expected more from travel companies like them. Truly disappointed.
Worst website to purchase trips. Used them for first time. Ran into a few issues and they Do not help guests trying to change flights or even try to accommodate the guest. Very rude staff and refuse to help the client to the best of their abilities. Do not book through them! If you run into any issues they won't help you and you'll loose your money!
We've used Priceline many times and find that it offers us a price advantage almost every time. Great service. Look for a hotel with free cancellation. Travel internationally? Look for Ibis hotels for a smaller, efficient, but clean room at a reasonable price.
I used Priceline one time and it will be my last. The car rental company charged me for the car rental so I called price line and they told me to call them. We as customers should not do anything they should take care of everything.
I got to my hotel and Priceline put me in the wrong room. I ended up having to pay additional fees upon arriving at my hotel. I called Priceline they gave me a crappy excuse stating that was the room I booked when in fact it did not accommodate my needs. I will not be using Priceline to book for anymore of my trips. Bad customer service.
Priceline site gave me option to choose morning, evening or midday departure. I chose midday, it booked me a night flight. I spent an hour total on phone, repeating myself 5 times and being transfered 5 times, then on chat, being told I would be refunded $15 less than I paid. This is ridiculus! I should not be paying for thier mistake! I have several trips coming up and they are now not giong to be booked through Priceline!
We were driving on a long trip, our return date was within 2 days. I asked at the National car rental counter if I brought I back a day early if I could be credited. They said all I had to do was submit the receipt to priceline and they would credit my credit card back, WRONG! Priceline said I could return the vehicle early but they are unable to issue any type of credit back. I spoke with 2 supervisors and got nowhere. I will deal directly with rental car companies in the future unless I have exact return dates.
Priceline just really screwed me over the put me in a lower rated hotel then the other hotels in the same category. When I tried to contact them all they did was keep blowing me off to some off shore answer service. I really felt they got there money and do not care about the service at all. They kept blaming the hotel and said there was nothing they could do. Be very wary of them taking your money and running, you may get a good deal but you will never get any service after the fact.
Dealing with Priceline has been a nightmare. I had a trip booked and my mother passed away so I could not complete it. I was given credit for an American future flight which has proven essentially worthless. I have tried to rebook a ticket with my $225 credit and every flight Priceline gives me, there is a "difference" of over $250- $500 I would need to pay. I have been on America's direct website and I can fly cheaper without my credit- how does this make sense? I should not be able to book cheaper on the same airline with no credit than I can with Priceline using a credit. They are a predatory company, steer clear.
During the holiday season, I tried to purchase a flight on Priceline.com, but the site processed my money but wouldn't provide me with a ticket because the price went up in the middle of my transaction. They reneged on the pricing, and it was a nuisance to get my money back a day later. After discussing the issue with a supervisor named Yanis, I learned that no one there cared that prices were going up on other sites; this was the worst service I've ever had. Never again will I visit this site.
This is absolutely ridiculous. We purchased flights through Priceline WITH the travel insurance.
One of our flights was canceled. We have spent the last three days on the phone with Priceline and they keep transferring us over and over again with the wrong information. Do they give this run around to everyone?!?!?
Hoping we just give up so they dont have to honor the insurance we paid for! If I could give half stars I would
User's recommendation: Never use Priceline!
Terrible experience with Priceline today forced me to write this review. I've been a lifelong customer, but today I had a rental car booked and had to change or discuss my options due to an emergency. The representative said there was nothing they could do (despite it being a real emergency). They said they could provide me with a full refund. 5 minutes later after asking me more about my personal emergency, I was told that the message was a mistake and that there was nothing else they could do. When I told them that I couldn't even contact the car rental company, they did nothing and said it was out of their hands. I can understand the contract, but there was 0 help given, 0 understanding, no kind of offer or anything. That right there is how you lose a lifelong customer, I'm going to be using Expedia or other services from now on. Save your money people, Priceline only cares about the businesses that they work with, not their actual customers (and I'm a "VIP" customer).
After booking a flight using Priceline and paying extra to have a shorter flight, my flight was changed back to the later time. I called Priceline and said I wanted my flight changed to an earlier time which they said would be free of charge for a one time change. The rep Santiago #447 says he can change it back to an earlier flight but there will be a charge now after reviewing it because it's considered a ""minor change". So basically they want to charge me twice, I said that is not right and he tells me call Delta. I called Delta and they said they can not do anything about it since it was booked through Priceline. I should have learned my lesson a few years ago when I booked a hotel through Priceline, I get to the hotel and they say I do not have a reservation. I had to pay full price directly to the hotel and get my money back down the road from Priceline. I will never again do business with Priceline.
My dad booked a flight to Reno, Nevada way ahead of time. Months prior to the actual date. Got to the airport and they said that we were never in the itinerary. We couldn't fly. I was going to see my partner and I never got to now because of your screw up. You couldn't even get customer service on the line until an hour passed. I hope you go out of business, how do you feel ruining people's $#*!ing lives.
Awful, customer service was based out of Philippines and I had a very hard time communicating my problem. The name your price tool gave us a $69 dollar hotel for $79, wow what a savings, NOT! They charged me $10 more. And my insurance that we paid extra for was not even helpful, they said I couldn't even change it unless it was a documented medical emergency. The fine print never said that when they were charging me card!
Never. Again.
So I've been using Priceline for years now. I've booked flights hotels car rentals in other countries. They have even made me a V.I.P member. I'm on a trip with my son in Orlando Florida and made a typo on the hotel that I wanted to stay at. I called 2 hours later and told them I would like to change my hotel. A lady told me that she would call me back but never did. So I wake up the next morning and call them. Annie was the representative name and after she said she couldn't do anything for me I asked to speak to the supervisor.she told me "the supervisor will tell you the same thing" that was very unprofessional.I did not ask you that Annie. Then the Manager Gray was very rude and kept speaking over me.this whole organization has gone to crap.DONT BOOK HERE. You would think that after being a "vip" member for years they could make a simple switch.don't count on it.
Priceline's can not be trusted, period. They do not actually vet the places they send you with their "great deals", which aren't. When the place they send you turns out to be unprofessional or fly by night you can't get your money back because you "signed a contract". I will NEVER use this s*#t for ethics outfit again. In my estimation they just want your money any way they can get it.
The hotel was given after booking. Priceline said they gave it a 2.5 star rating. Every other site gives it a 2 star rating. We had 3 rooms for close friends and family coming to town for a wedding. I wouldn't let my daughters stay in this hotel. Tried to get a refund or to change my hotel. Priceline said the rooms were no refundable Even though they were misrepresented. It's ok. I'll eat the $300 and use it as a learning experience. I'll spend my money elsewhere from here on.
I booked a hotel for the same day check in. When I arrived at the hotel I was told there was an extra $150 pet fee that Priceline did not not include in the hotel description. I reached out to Priceline and they told me they could not cancel my reservation until the hotel that I booked through them accepted the cancellation and that they would email the manager of that hotel to request a cancellation. I called the hotel myself and spoke to the manager on duty. I was told Priceline could cancel and refund the hotel bill "if they wanted to". I ended up having to sleep in my car because of this company. Now today I am told by Priceline there is a "no show " fee and will not be refunded.
I tried to book a five star hotel with Priceline, but I thought it would be fun to russian-roulette it and get one of 3 five-star hotels in Vegas. They gave me three choices, The Palazzo, The Aria and the Venetian. After trying to get one of these I ended up with a three star hotel 20 minutes from the Strip. I called them and tried to tell them it was a mistake on their end, but they told me that it was non refundable and that they "understand where I was coming from". Seeing as I am going out of town and would only be there for one night, I though it would be okay, but then my card was charged yet again! I looked and now I have two reservations for the same night in a two star and a three star hotel respectively. I guess when you combine them you get 5 stars! I called again and they told me there was nothing they can do and that they confirmed there are two contracts from me and I would not be able to do anything about either.
Answer: The agreed to price is inclusive. I would look at dollar's website before renting from Priceline. There is no layer of protection from prcln.
Answer: With Price Line you may pay a reduced price. However, you get reduced services. Be prepared for hidden costs from the merchant as their ads on Price Line do not include their entire policy.
Answer: I'm not sure what you mean by "receive" the e-ticket. I've booked numerous times through priceline and other intermediaries, but have never received a ticket. I would suggest that you look at the itinerary that you've received from priceline and look for the Airline Confirmation Number (which may be a sequence of letters and or numbers depending on the airline). Then go to the airline's website and look up your flight itinerary. This process also varies by airline, but there should be some menu such as "My Trips" or other itinerary look up option. The airline should be able to find your itinerary based on your name and confirmation number. If your priceline itinerary contains an e-ticket number, you may be able to use that on the airline's website as well. If the airline has your itinerary, you're good to go. You'll be able to check in and get a boarding pass (electronic or print) 24 hours prior to your flight. If the airline has no record of you, then you've got a problem.
The overall reputation of the company reveals significant dissatisfaction among customers, primarily due to issues with booking accuracy, hidden fees, and inadequate customer service. Many reviews highlight frustrations with non-refundable reservations and uncommunicated changes, leading to feelings of being misled. While some customers appreciated the initial pricing, the subsequent hidden costs and lack of support during disputes overshadowed these positives. A recurring sentiment is a lack of accountability from the company, prompting numerous customers to vow never to use the service again. This feedback indicates a critical need for improved transparency and customer support practices.
