I love Priceline, but lately it's a little slacking. As I noticed when you bid, you got to bid much more than just maybe 2 years ago. Big inflation on the prices. Pro: got some good deal before and easy to use. Con: cannot cancel and won't know the name til purchased if go through Express deals or bidding site. Hotels gotten progressively more expensive.
Thier ticket said free carry on bag...I had to pay 99.00 for a carryon bag...fought with price line for 2 months and many many hours of customer service...these people are liars telling me that a refund is in the mail several times. Do not trust these people!
Booked room in Defunak Springs Fla.To go to friends funeral. Had been there before. I knew where I was going. Had conformation number with correct address, When I got there Priceline had me booked in another motel fifteen miles away in another town. The motel I wanted was full so Price line booked in another town and did not notify me. From now on will call motel myself to reserve room. This is second time in a year to happen to me with another travel site.So beware.
Please don't ever use their car rental service. The first time I booked through Priceline they allowed me to book a location that wasn't open the hours I reserved the vehicle. I thought ok well maybe that was a one time error since Priceline isn't local they go based off national chain hours. The second time used them, I booked and confirmed my rental, arrived at the rental car location and they said they have NO vehicles at all.
I called to get a refund and the representative acted as though she was doing me a favor by refunding me the charges
I recently booked a hotel through PRICELINE. The hotel amenities were incorrect. They advertised a pool and there wasn't a pool. Not too big of a deal. It was the customer service area which would not take responsibility for the mistake. After waiting 12 minutes, giving the representative my information 3 times, they told me that they use HOTEL.COM and I should complain to them.
I'll never use them again.
These people are scam artists taking advantage of customers during a pandemic. I was a continuous user of priceline until now. We had a flight scheduled and my mother developed symptoms of COVID after being exposed so we had to cancel our flight since it is illegal to travel with COVID. We were apparently given credit without being told we would have to use the credit in the exact same way we booked it, and that if we booked two one way tickets we could not book a round way ticket with the credit. We would also have to book through the agency so it is almost double the price. So we are stuck with credits that we cannot use and that are much more expensive than before. I will not be using them again and will be seeking legal help. Use another travel agency. An extra $50 is way better than losing $400 to these scammers.
I don't recommend you to work with Priceline because you will be disappointed even if the price is lower than other travel companies. In our experience, Priceline is one of the worst travel companies, they don't even know the rental car office hours. Most rental cars should be open 24/7 at the airport, but some rental cars are not open late evening. My wife and I reserved a car, and we arrived around midnight, the rental car was closed, and we have to pay over $800 for only 2 nights with another rental car because we didn't have a reservation with them. It literally took us 3-4 hours to find another rental car that can give us a car without reservation after midnight at SFO.
I rented a room at super 8. They took my money and gave me a confirmation of room. When I went to hotel desk they said Priceline did not pay them. The rep from Priceline said their company credit card isn't working.! They said they would give me a refund but have not seen it. I stood outside with no shoes on in my pajamas. No room key to get my stuff Inside my room. I stead they asked if they could relocate me. After I already paid! I will file some laulwsuit if this is not refunded fully
I purchased airline tickets from Priceline. When I received e-mail from carrier, my wife's name was mis-spelled. I know TSA can sometimes be really picky about this and they can deny your travel. Sadly, Priceline is not able to correct such mistakes. So what's the point of using Priceline when I could have gone to the airline directly?
Tip for consumers:
Don't use Priceline, make reservations directly with aireline

I booked two weeks of a hotel on Priceline.com. The website advertised "Free Cancellation" on the hotel. That is the ONLY reason I was willing to select as I was unsure if the dates I was anticipating would be exact. When I attempted to adjust the dates with Priceline.com a week prior to the start date, they told me that the sale was final and I could not get any refund or change the dates. They argued that the bottom of their checkout pages state that all purchases are final. Then what does "Free Cancellation" mean?! They basically told me too bad and kept referring to the disclosure. What?! A fee for 12 days at a hotel! THis might be amongst the most sly and unjust practice I've ever come across. Do not use this company! They are crooked. Any reasonable interpretation of "Free Cancellation" is that you can cancel and get a refund.
I booked a hotel and car, they were offering a upgraded room compared to their competitors for $0, completed my booking and noticed on my itinerary it was all a scam! No upgraded room, they put a standard room on their! Only reason I booked through Priceline because of the free upgraded room. Other websites were $60 cheaper than Priceline. Called customer service and they said they can't help because I didn't select a room, so they assigned one. Lying because I have screen shots of the whole process because my boyfriend said "babe it's to good to be true" so I screen shot the whole process for him. Which I'm glad I did because they can't say I'm lying. But, they still refused to change the room type! Also the room said free cancellation until a day before check in, now they saying it's no free cancellation. Whole website is a SCAM
Price line messed my passengers name up on the order. We tried to get it fixes but instead we got transferred 5 times and put on hold for over an hour. We didn't get priceline to fix the issue. American airlines fixed the issue for a fee. I will never use pricelone again as long as I live for any of my traveling
I used Priceline to make a hotel reservation. Upon checking into the hotel, within 10 minutes of getting into bed, I found a bed bug crawling on me. I immediately packed up and left the room and went to the front desk. I demanded a full refund since the room was unusable, but the hotel management refused to provide a refund since I had "used the bed". Yes, I had used the bed for 10 minutes before I had a BED BUD crawling on me. The next day I called Priceline and demanded a full refund since the reservation and payment was made through Priceline. Priceline also refused to provide a refund. They sold me a product that was unusable and then refused to provide a refund. So don't expect Priceline to stand behind any product they sell you.
Tip for consumers:
Don't use Priceline. They will not stand behind any travel reservation they make that goes bad.

The worst customer service ever. Booked for a suite and they confirm my booking with a junior suite from their own self. The issue is not solved for more than two months!
That is a scam site be aware from it.
I tried to cancel on of my trip, due to I was sick, and the Cancellation policy says you can cancel it anytime 24 hours before your stay. I tried to cancel it 38 hours before the stay due to my health condition got worse, while there was no cancellation button exists anywhere in my reservation page. I had to talk to a man to do the cancellation and it was late night, so I wait until the next morning, which is still 30 hours before the stay. However, they told me because they cannot reach out to the front desk of the hotel at that moment, they would contact them later. Then I got charged, as the hotel said the cancellation was not 24 hours before the stay, and Priceline refuse to refund me.
Terrible customer service and deceiving practices when using the name your own price feature. I was given pricing guidance by the site that the average cost of a 3 star hotel room was $599. When i entered an offer of $99, the site accepted my offer and gave me a Best Western hotel for $99/ night that would have cost $85 retail if i had booked on the best western website. When i complained and asked for a cancellation, i was told there was nothing that could be done and i was stuck. Unethical and rude, the deal was bad and customer service was worse! Will never go back!
I have nothing but good things to say about Priceline. Was due to fly out on the 15/3/20 and I was able to cancel the package I had booked of a vehicle and car due to the virus outbreak 1 day before I was due to depart (held on as long as I needed but the news got worse by the day). First the hotel then a few days later I called back to cancel the vehicle, agent was totally understanding and helpful and made the whole process stress free. Both refunds came 4 days after each phone call and fully reimbursed. Will rebook again when the time allows. Regards, Happy customer all the way from New Zealand
My cousin bid for a hotel at priceline (around $70) and when he got to the hotel he realized the hotel price was much cheaper (($57)
Always check hotel prices and compare.
Be aware of scumbags who like to trick you
Charged by Priceline and the rental car company (Hertz) neither of which was able to resolve the issue. I now have to dispute the charge with my credit card company. This is the last time I will be using either company.
If you do not see your flight while booking with priceline, do not book any vacation with them, they will waist two days of your item on your vacation spending it in the airports
I will never use their services again
I've had good experiences with Priceline.com. Needed a hotel in San Francisco recently, and got a great deal.
It's always a good idea to check around and make sure you're getting the best rate, but I've used Priceline a few times and have always been happy with the results.
Went to stay in hotel and it was the the worst experience for me and my family reached out to price line to help and it was worst customer service
Ever experience they said they could not help and i lost $159 i was at hotel with family 5 min no refund.
Made no offers to help me and my family at 1130 pm to look for hotel.
Terrible customer service we have been trying to reuse a travel credit incurred during cova with NO success. We were informed numerous times by priceline representatives that we could reuse our credits but thus far have not been successful
Impossible to get credit if your flight is canceled
Call the agent and she kept on asking me stupid question after trip number that should provide her with all the information she kept on asking about my name phone number what flight number and mine what hotel I'm in all that information right in front of her on the computer but they love to drive you crazy

I booked a very nice hotel in Baton Rouge for two nights through Priceline's Express Deal. There was nothing stating which hotel it was to be (of course) so I could not know that the hotel they chose for me charges $25 extra per night for VALET parking, no self parking allowed, no free parking at all. No warning when I booked it. So when I "chatted" with a representative nothing I could say about this lack of information could convince her to help me at all. I offered to get a different hotel through Priceline if they would cancel this one, but no. "There's a contract", PERIOD! No true apology, just patronizing "I understand, but..." So now I'm stuck paying an additional $50 that was not warned or disclosed, plus valet tip. Forget Priceline. They have your money and they DON'T CARE. As for me, I will never use them again.
They don't even deserve a one star! We just tried to cancel our reservation because we had to cancel our trip to Florida and Priceline said NO! What a scam! Who gets the money... does Priceline keep it or do they give it to the car rental place?!?! Sometimes a discount rate IS NOT worth it! Don't ever use Priceline because they are just con artists!
Horrible CS. Rude, nasty, sarcastic. I am not a compaliner, but this company has changed my ways. They do not back their word, tell you you can cancel, change the rates daily and they lock you in so it you change (if they let you) they add on a fee/ I called 6 days prior to my pick up to ask if I could change the time by a couple of hours and leave off to reflect the pick up time. I was told they "Cant". Even their QA says you can if car is available. I dont like to be lied to or talked down to. They need to learn affective CS and how they treat their customer's is a tell tale sign of what they are all about. I will NEVER use them again.
