Went to Riu Palace Aruba via Priceline, Black mold present. Called Priceline from the hotel. Customer service rep placed us on hold to call hotel. Hotel would answer but would not forward the call to the desk. Told Priceline representative we were leaving because one of us had symptoms. The Riu said Priceline would send them an email and they would refund. After returning home, Priceline refuses to return our money for the un-used nights. Priceline is dealing with a hotel they cant even discuss issues with, advertises the hotel and then leaves you hanging when problems occur. PLEASE for your sake, save yourself the headaches of dealing with a dishonest company like Priceline.
I rented a car through Priceline. The price I paid in person was over $130 more than they advertised online. Do not charge $6/day for a vehicle then add $130 in fees. Better to just disclose the actual price on the website so customers are aware of what they are getting themselves into. I could not walk away at the last minute so I was forced into paying a price for a rental that I would never have agreed to had it been disclosed. I was tricked. & the rental company USAVE did not allow you decline their insurance and use your own. As most other companies always allow this. The collision and liability combined added an additional $60+ per day, which is highway robbery. I am extremely dissatisfied with this company. Next time be up front with customers about the actual price of rental vehicles. I would give no stars if I could for the dishonestly and lack of transparency to customers. Do better as a business.
Absolutely awful, no toilet paper in the room, coffee maker so dirty that i did not want to touch it much less brew coffee. Blankets stained, pillows dirty. Fridge froze all of my food. Toilet and shower dirty. Dungeon room, not one window. Front desk gave me the runaround since i booked through priceline, and priceline pointed back at the hotel. Will never stay there again, nor book through priceline.
After entering the info for the location, room and amenities that I desire, Priceline advertise that they can meet my needs for a price much lower then what is currently going for after putting in my reservation. I got stuck with a $#*! motel that did not meet my need. They apologized and said they will returned 20%, when all I want to do is cancel out. Never again... please do your research, look at the high percentage of 1 star rating and stay away from Priceline.
I booked a room with insurance on Priceline's website. The quote reflected the insurance upgrade amount but when the order went through it didn't show this in my itinerary. I contacted Priceline immediately and they told me there was nothing they can do and they would not add it. I am absolutely appalled with their service and for the "auto mode - we don't care about you so deal with it" attitude. It's not worth the savings (which was under 15% for me) to even deal with them.
Two words:
NEVER AGAIN.
I really wish I went on this review website earlier to read all these horrible reviews before booking with them. :( Now i'm paying out of pocket for a hotel I never even stayed at... and they wont refund me. NO MATTER how much I tried.
Unprofessional. Bad customer service. Unjust. Book anywhere else.
Priceline is a great site for hotel booking. BUT when you have a problem with a reservation... FORGET IT! They will not help you. They give you all the excuses in the world to keep their money, and prove to you that it's your fault. Things happen with reservations. I called them 2 literally two minutes after receiving my confirmation. They did absolutely nothing to help me, nor fix my problem. I use Priceline on a monthly basis, actually very often. I'm so disappointed they did NOTHING to fix my problem. Again, great for booking but once you have a problem your problems won't be fixed. Affordable hotels, yet no solution to your problems. So disappointed. Too good to be true! False terms & conditions!
I am very disappointed at the so-called 'bargain' I received. It was not a bargain or better hotel at all. I could have obtained a better deal for this hotel on my own had I wanted to stay at that dump. The hotel is undergoing renovation construction to the upper floors. The 1st floor is untouched and being filled with unsuspecting priceline travelers and sketchy-looking people. Certain sketchy guests ith a large dog were trying to access their room through an exterior window. The guest laundry was missing a dryer and there was no working light in the room. Our 'suite' had torn wallpaper, slow-draining tub/shower, ripped and stained carpet, and was not worth staying at for half the supposed Priceline deal. I feel like I just gambled away my money and received the boobie prize. I definitely would not use Priceline again nor would I recommend it to friends, family or clients.
I used this company for the first time to rent a car while visiting my mother after flying from Maine to Florida There was never a clear understanding about changing my date of reservation or getting no reschedule or refund if I changed my dates to travel. There is National Emergency for the Corona Virus right now forcing us to change our trip dates and if we go now we could potentially infect my 81 year old Mother. They refused to change the date and said they are sorry. Sad sad and shame on them. I will never do business with this company again and be sure to make sure everyone hears this story. Shame on Priceline.
They used to be great. But now? More of an annoyance. Have had to go back over and over. Waiting with a "stuck" search engine. Then you get your price and it tells you to offer more. What's the point. Not worth my time. There are other sites that are as good or better in terms of price.
Outbound flight cancelled due to medical emergency. Okay, no rescheduling of this Priceline reserved Delta ticket from Seattle to Hawaii. I dont agree but I get it. Priceline/Delta also cancelled return ticket even though payed for and all people are available for return flight. We are not changing or cancelling anything on return flight, but we just found out that has been cancelled too. Priceline/Delta just obviates over $1500 of my tickets because I was unfortunate and had a physician corroborated medical emergency. My family lost tickets both directions. Had to repurchase new tickets while Delta resold our unused tickets - especially on return flight we needed return flight. Very bad policy and service. I felt robbed!
Priceline is a terrible company to do business with. They have awful customer service, give out the wrong information and steal from you when you need to make changes. I would never recommend using them. The service agent Blake from Manilla was horrible.
If you have any issues with Priceline, go to the Better Business Bureau. They will help. Calling Priceline Customer Service is a waste of time, and to make matters worse, the agents have terrible English. It's outsourced over seas. Not in the U.S.A.
On 3/27 I called their customer service to nook a flight for a friend. I had never used them before but their ad popped up first so I thought I would give them a try. I have always had good luck with other companies so I never gave it a second thought. They kept putting me on hold and coming back and saying the tickets were going up. After 2 or 3 times I finally bought the ticket. When I received my confirmation I had paid for the ticket@ the original price of $461 and another $ 461 to priceline for a booking fee. The ticket price didn't go up because I had to pay as 2 separate charges. One to the airline and one to priceline. I actually bought the tickets on 3/27 and flight was mid May. But they had also thrown in on the confirmation non refundable. So I ended up paying $975 total on credit card before it was all said and done. I will never use this company again and anyone that asks I tell them to beware. I only gave them 1 star because I couldn't go any lower.

Booked a car rental using their regular system (not Name Your Own Price). A week later, received an email for an exact rental from www.hotwire.com that ended up being $30 cheaper.
Priceline refused to match their price because you cannot which carrier Hotwire is getting the car from until after you make the purchase. So even if they are cheaper, it's not covered under priceline's guarantee. Bulls**t if you ask me.
Warning to anyone out there----priceline has an absolute zero % tolerance for refunding your money, ever. Even if the dates are wrong, you booked the wrong flight, wrong car, etc. Zero. That alone is cause to never use them again (not to mention their failure to match prices as promised).
Priceline needs to change their policies big time. I will never ever ever use them again! Look at all of these horrible reviews! I can't believe they do not care about customer service or customer satisfaction AT ALL! There should be a class action lawsuit against them.
Had a terrible experience from a so-called, ""all-inclusive"" resort, Grand Oasis Cancun in Mexico. Which I booked through Priceline. Got back a week ago, have been busy, and still trying to shake off the nightmare of the trip.
Tried to contact Priceline through their chat customer support today. Told them that I completely do not feel like I got my money's worth because it was not in fact, all inclusive. My booking was very misleading.
I was given the runaround, told to fill out the survey emailed to me, which I already did. As I was STILL TYPING, I got a response that said, "Perfect! We will review your response and reach out to the resort with your feelings of your stay! Contact us again in the future with any customer support needs." Then the chat ended... While in conversation. The phone call equivalent of hanging up on me.
What kind of customer service is that supposed to be?
The only reason I gave 1 star is because you had to give something. This Company is a RIP OFF. They lie about the hotel choices and there ratings. Customer service is the poorest customer service I ever had. Please check the companies web site or call them directly before booking on here. The prices are around the same if not cheaper. Third party companies SUCK!
Don't use Priceline. They booked us to use fox rental car.
Don't rent from them. This is a scam. The advertised price was $236 BUT when I returned the car they charged me $655. The total should only have been $290 total. They charged me for pre-pay gas even though I had filled up the tank and said it was nonrefundable. They put a bunch of charges on there and acronyms so you don't know what you're being charge for. I emailed them for a summary and got nothing. Priceline never helped us try to get an itemized bill from the car company either. If they're the ones booking the reservation and they should have some responsibility on helping us get an itemized bill for erroneous charges.
Priceline allows 24 hour free cancel policy after booking a ticket. I love this feature. Even though I even exceeded that limit, they were still flexible in cancelling my ticket. Excellent customer care.
Answer: The agreed to price is inclusive. I would look at dollar's website before renting from Priceline. There is no layer of protection from prcln.
Answer: With Price Line you may pay a reduced price. However, you get reduced services. Be prepared for hidden costs from the merchant as their ads on Price Line do not include their entire policy.
Answer: I'm not sure what you mean by "receive" the e-ticket. I've booked numerous times through priceline and other intermediaries, but have never received a ticket. I would suggest that you look at the itinerary that you've received from priceline and look for the Airline Confirmation Number (which may be a sequence of letters and or numbers depending on the airline). Then go to the airline's website and look up your flight itinerary. This process also varies by airline, but there should be some menu such as "My Trips" or other itinerary look up option. The airline should be able to find your itinerary based on your name and confirmation number. If your priceline itinerary contains an e-ticket number, you may be able to use that on the airline's website as well. If the airline has your itinerary, you're good to go. You'll be able to check in and get a boarding pass (electronic or print) 24 hours prior to your flight. If the airline has no record of you, then you've got a problem.
The overall reputation of the company reveals significant dissatisfaction among customers, primarily due to issues with booking accuracy, hidden fees, and inadequate customer service. Many reviews highlight frustrations with non-refundable reservations and uncommunicated changes, leading to feelings of being misled. While some customers appreciated the initial pricing, the subsequent hidden costs and lack of support during disputes overshadowed these positives. A recurring sentiment is a lack of accountability from the company, prompting numerous customers to vow never to use the service again. This feedback indicates a critical need for improved transparency and customer support practices.
