Lots of system glitches, very pedestrian software made only for designers who just purchase items online, not those who do custom specifications. The worst part of this subscription is that there is ZERO customer service. When the program glitches and prevents user access or if they update their platform and it knocks settings off kilter, they are of no help and are quite rude. This has potential but they need to amend many things on program and change how they service the customer.
This company tricks you into thinking they have a free trial and than stick you with a year membership at 100.00 a month and they refuse to let you out of it. I have used the free software for a total of 10 minutes and now they feel like they should send me to collections for non payment. I have requested that they remove me from the billing and delete my account multiple times as I have never played around with it for more than 10 minutes. They always say they will talk to the accounting department which goes nowhere. This is by far the worst experience I have had with any company. How do they justify the sneakiness and unwillingness to release people from something a person has not used. This is unethical and immoral behavior and I can't believe they feel okay with this. I guess I will now have to deal with a collections on my credit. Good job Houzz pro. Thanks for nothing. I'm getting a lawyer.
Houzz seems to offer multiple free trials. But all of them end up with a paying subscription AND a one year locked in subscription.
I am not sure whether the tools will satisfy your long-term needs, but their marketing department seems to highly doubt that you are going to stick around after a monthly free or half-priced trial, as to get this trial, you have to commit for a yearlong subscription.
Buyer (Renter) beware!
We signed up for the Pro ultimate program they offered in 2020. They claimed we were getting 99% of the lead coming in from an area of over 2 million. Only 26 leads presented in the year period. So in internet term that is about $150 per click. Horrible waste of money. To add injury to insult they continue to charge me each month even tough I have told them to cancel my subscription. With no response from them and no way to cancel from their system I am left paying for months. Avoid Houzz and predatory companies like them
As a designer, we are constantly creating mood boards, furniture, fixture & finishing schedules. I love how Houzz has this special tool to clip images online and smartly save the description, colour, price onto your product library. The software is very comprehensive and user friendly. It is an all-in-one tool! Clients can see all corresponding emails, attachments, mood boards, invoice status all in their dashboard. I would highly recommend this software to anyone in the industry. It really helped me organize my business.
The support staff at Houzz are all amazing and very helpful!
My husband and I are so happy with the beautiful entertainment wall built by D&T Builders. Jim and his team are seasoned professionals dedicated to getting the job done right within a reasonable time frame. Thanks D&T for making our family room elegant and functional! Sally Reed
Houzz provides a platform for me to showcase my design projects and services. I have, however, avoided using features of Houzz Pro other than marketing as I am wary of ceding control of my affairs to big tech. I regret that Houzz Pro Support is exceptionally poor. They have refused, for example, to take down a fake review of my service which details an encounter with a client which never occurred and which violates Houzz's own review Policy. They have accepted a falsified invoice as proof of the encounter. For this reason, I am relieved that I have never used features of Houzz Pro beyond marketing. I was tempted at one stage to avail of their offer to host and design my website. I realise now that to do so would be to cede authority to an entity which knowingly publishes defamatory and libellous reviews. Under these circumstances, their rolling one year contract system is infuriating.
We were contacted by a Houzz representative in January 2024 and promised a whole bunch of nothing. We have received a total of 24 leads, of which a handful were spam/scammers, not in our service area, not looking for a service we provide, and the rest of the "quality" leads never respond back to us. There is also no option to show the customers phone number after initial contact which is a red flag. If the leads were quality, then Houzz should have no issue giving us the customers direct contact info...I mean they are in the market for a contractor right? Houzz was also supposed to run our website on their platform, which was up for a few days, and has been inactive ever since. I have reached out out and received no call back, but they sure did reach out promptly when our payment didn't go through due to our bank account being hacked. I encourage all businesses and customers to PROCEED WITH CAUTION when dealing with Houzz. We refuse to pay for a service that we aren't receiving. Do not listen to what the representative sells you because they are very manipulative and good at it. Read the terms completely. We also were not provided with a trial period so please be sure to ask about that. Houzz is no better than most of the services out there, and we have tried many. Houzz is by far the worst. I hope this helps somebody.
Hi James,
Thank you for taking the time to leave this review. We are very sorry about your experience with Houzz Pro so far. It is true that many professionals achieve the expected results, but we cannot guarantee that this will always immediately be the case. However, we understand your frustration and would like to connect. So that we may best assist, are you able to provide the name of your business? You may also reach out to us through help.houzz.com.

I started with houzz around 1 year ago.I had a call from technical people 3 month ago
They said that i owe them 300$ and i don't have card on file that was tru so even with them providing me minimum value. So i paid and requested to close the account. Next month they charged my card again so I send request to close the account It says it would be closed in about an year from now. Next month after they charged my card again. I give them call and request closing subscription again. I hope they will let me go. I'm not willing to work with this company anymore because the way they do business doesn't seem morally acceptable to me.
We've been a paying Houzz Pro for about six years. The platform provides a significant percentage of our projects, but each year the ratio slightly decreases. We have to assume that they've saturated our market with other designers, as evidenced by searches for similar firms in the area. We used to top the charts. Not so much anymore, which is disappointing. However, our rep, Brittany Bromagem, has been instrumental in providing advice and guidance, which has helped. If you join the program, make sure you have a knowledgeable and caring representative.
Answer: After being hounded for years by their persistent sales team we finally committed for a year of "Pro" service for our design company. This was very expensive and yielded no solid leads after one year. For comparison, Google gave us over 3,300 referrals in a year, Instagram almost 1,000. Houzz Pro? 35. In an entire year. Less than 3 click throughs a month for $400 a month. After a year they renewed us on a month to month basis for $400 a month with no fore warning or any follow up to see what we had thought of their "service". Our Houzz Pro "dashboard" contains no information on billing, renewal terms or renewal dates. To cancel your auto renewal you have to do it on the phone, 30 days in advance. Our sales rep. No longer answers emails and will not address this issue. We are disputing this with Visa and we keep getting charged. We block Houzz Pro and next month we get billed by Houzz Advertising. Truly a terrible, parasitic, dishonest company that provides zero value. Avoid, avoid, avoid.
Answer: Yes use it as you may---am part of the team. Keeping in touch with me would be the best of both worlds for me and the client.
Houzz Pro has a rating of 2.9 stars from 157 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers dissatisfied with Houzz Pro most frequently mention customer service, free trial and credit card. Houzz Pro ranks 4th among Home Remodeling sites.
We are sorry to hear this! Do you have the business name you can share so we can get in touch?
