I have only purchased one pattern through ravelry, the money was taken but I have not received the pattern. I've messaged ravelry and the designer directly through their own website and have had no response from either! Very disappointing as the pattern was lovely!
Fabulous layout, easy to use, and I love that they are fighting back against racism and hate speech.

Love having all my patterns in one place, it's a good place to find ideas for that special yarn, and great forums for asking questions.

I just wanted to knit and use Ravelry as a prime source. Too much politics to weed through both nationally and in their sub groups.

A great resource for anyone interested in the fibre arts. And a great way to find out that Aunt Becky is racist trash. A+

Good on ya to stand up for what you velieve in. I hope more companies follow your lead. Racists have no place in this world, not even here.

I love Ravelry. They won't allow racists on their website and have a huge collection of patterns for both knitters and crocheters.

Great site, full of more information than I can make use of, and with very supportive community to provide help, opinions, and fun.

I know that I am just one person, but I would like to state my resistance. When the word inclusive is used, that means all, no one is excluded for any reason. When someone is told that they are welcome but because their viewpoints are not the same as yours, then you must not state your views, and you must keep it to yourself, that is bullying. When someone can post a negative concept to an idea, thought, or point; however, no one is able to post the opposite to that same thought, idea or point in order to have inclusivity, that is hypocrisy.
That is what Ravelry has done with their statement of position, stating that all Trump supporters are unambiguously white supremists The definition of unambiguous is not open to more than one interpretation. So in calling Trump supporters unambiguously white supremists, they have just made themselves unambiguous at the same time.
What they do to each other is not my concern, however, what they do to others is. In doing what they did, they shutdown any possibility of promotion of patterns that supporters could have bought. That is economic oppression.
It is one thing for Ravelry to have created this fiasco. They could have easily said NO POLITICAL items at all, banning all. Instead they opted for the 1st Ammendment restriction. Limiting the voices of those they don't agree with.
I really wish everyone would have looked at the total statement and outcome before they jumped on board because of a few key words and phrases, BIPOC, LBGQT+. Perhaps they would have thought a little more towards a total Political ban instead of a subjective ban.

The best resource for knitters and crocheters, with an enormous database of patterns and yarns, and active forums where you can find even more info.

Always has been. Even more so since they banned hate speech. It's everything deplorables hate, so take the bad reviews with a grain of salt

I had been a member since 2010. It use to be a welcoming place. Now it has degraded into anti trump hatred.

If you are looking to share or get knitting patterns there isn't anything better than Ravelry.
You can find just about anything!

Ravelry has been the best site for fiber artists for years now, but the fact that Nazis are no longer welcome there and so many horrible people are leaving the site is making it SO MUCH BETTER.
Date of experience: August 23, 2019
Used to love this site but they have recently become unwelcoming and hate filled. They do not allow people who have conservative values on the site.
Date of experience: July 13, 2019
I love this site and the stands they take. Thank you Ravelry and your staff for making the world a little bit of a better place.

Hypocrites by saying they are inclusive of everyone but throw out anyone that publicly supports Trump.
Date of experience: July 14, 2019
I don't like discrimination, if which this site is very guilty. They also give underhanded statistics and support cyberstalking and doxxing.
