Regus offers flexible, high-quality and relatively inexpensive office space in a number of major cities across the world. This can be useful for start ups or larger companies who need flexible office space for traveling or satellite employees.

“Regus: The Industry Leader: On the verge to meltdown.”

Faraz S.
8/26/24

I have been a long-time client of Regus and have always appreciated the high-quality services and professional environment you provided. However, I am deeply concerned about the recent decline in service standards and the apparent shift in focus towards vacating spaces rather than maintaining the excellence that once defined Regus. This sudden change is not only disappointing but also alarming. It feels as though Regus is veering off course, moving away from its core values and commitment to clients. I urge you to reconsider this direction and realign with the principles that made Regus a leader in the industry. Your future plans are unclear, but the current trajectory seems to be leading towards a potential downfall. I sincerely hope that sanity prevails and that Regus can return to its former glory, providing the exceptional services that clients have come to expect.

The agreed priced increased, i realised i was being ivoiced 2 times higher than was agrred till date, my deposit has not been refunded, and yet the country aids its and supports criminals..

I lease office space from their Mobile Alabama location and had a virtual office in Miami. For 8 months, Regus overcharged me for parking privileges. I have been exchanging emails for 3 months now and still haven't gotten a credit to my account. Their customer service is horrible, and they do not follow-up on their promises. DO NOT LEASE OFFICE SPACE FROM THEM! They are quick to send threatening emails about restricting your access but refuse to reimburse funds that the admittedly overcharged!

I reluctantly gave 1 star rating. In my opinion they deserve a negative 25-star rating

I canceled with them months ago over the phone! Because I needed a state license to get notarized to legally use them as a business address! I explain to them the situation! They asked me my account number! I was then told it was taken care of! A few months later I received this email saying I owe them $330 by debt collector! So I called Regas again and this agent actually told me that I can only cancel it on my end it is against their policy to counsel over the phone even though the previous agent did! Also was told that you can't record them even though I have a recording with Proof! Anybody that's not trying to scam wouldn't mind you recording them if they didn't do anything wrong!

Hi,
Thank you for escalating this.
Transparency is key to us and our teams go to great lengths to ensure that any issues have been clarified before an agreement is signed. All our agreements need to be ended online. Ending your agreement is a simple process: you can log into your Regus account and click on Accounts > Products > End Agreement. Your termination will be automatically confirmed by email. I apologise if you weren’t aware of this functionality.
Most, if not all, companies have an internal collections department. It’s a very common part of a business when providing goods or services to customers and then not receiving payment. This should not come as a surprise to any consumer. At Regus, we take all possible steps to liaise with customers and ensure their accounts are up to date before sending their accounts to our collection department.
I haven’t been able to identify your account. Could you please email me at lorraine.brule@regus.com with your company name and account reference (as displayed on your invoice)?
I look forward to receiving more information from you.
Best,

This company is AWFUL and not to be trusted. We signed a contract with them to rent a space. AFTER we signed the lease they informed us of extra charges that were not mentioned beforehand. They would NOT negate the contract. We are likely going to be taking them to court. DO NOT do business with them as they are not to be trusted.

I signed a lease agreement for 1 year. Terrible customer service, They never respond your email or no one picks up the calls. Horrible accounting system. They bill you on the 8th day of the month for the following months rents and they want you to pay it until 18th of same month. So you need to pay your lease 22 days before the months starts. So confusing and stupid as of business. I will NEVER, NEVER, NEVER lease from the again.

ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE! I have officed with Regus for 10 years now and am so happy to get out of there. Regus used to be so nice with great customer service and office amenities. They have gone down hill slowly every year. They started charging for services that were complimentary or completely eliminated them. Example: Shred Service. What office wouldn't have a shred box, I can tell you Regus! Charges for coffee, customer service has declined. Ability to access my office on a holiday if need was removed. They wouldn't let me take our phone number... After 10 years of having a business phone number, it is beyond frustrating that they wont allow us to take a phone number with us. TERRIBLE COMPANY!

My experience with Regus (Edmonton Canada) has been nothing short of a nightmare. I caution anyone considering their services to steer clear of this company. From the moment I inquired about their offerings, I felt manipulated into signing some obscure digital document. To my shock, I later discovered that I had unwittingly committed to a year-long service agreement. This lack of transparency is a major red flag.

Furthermore, their Virtual Office service turned out to be utterly useless. Major banks and institutions do not recognize it, rendering it practically worthless. When I contacted Regus to address the unexpected charges on my account, they callously insisted that I was obligated to pay them all. When I refused, they resorted to threats of legal action.

In summary, Regus appears to be a fraudulent company with deceptive practices and services of questionable value. I strongly advise against using their services, as my experience has left me feeling like a victim of a scam. Proceed with caution and explore alternative options for your workspace needs.

Hi Rashad, I’m sorry if you felt the need to escalate this.
Upon checking, you signed a 12-month agreement with a preferential monthly fee.
We have asked for evidence and supporting documents for this conflicting information, but it could not be provided.
A signed agreement is a formal business commitment, and it should be ended online according to its terms and notice period.
A member of our team has contacted you to assist you further on this matter, please continue to speak with them if you need further assistance.

I ended my contract with these people November 30,2020 in two locations, New Mexico and Idaho. They have my security deposit to deduct whatever fees they say I owe, but on May 15,2021, they bill me another 27.40 per sight for late fees! They will rip you off. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM. They have a way of preventing your emails within their system. In other words, their IT system is rigged. It would take me days to describe their tactics, but they will arbitrairly bill you for services you did not want. Everything is in writing and if you have time to have your lawyer read over the contract you sign with them then go for it.

I started a contract with Regus in 2/2022. I emailed them today to inform them of my desire to cancel my contract. I was told that they required a THREE MONTH NOTICE! I also called a few months ago and was told by the customer service representative that all that they required was a Thirty day notice. I have a perfect payment history with this company, and I now know that they are REGUS IS A PREDATORY COMPANY IN MY OPINION. Please do not sign on with them. I am going to contact the Attorney General's Office in Texas where their Corporate office is located and start a complaint against them. PLEASE BEWARE OF REGUS!

I'm not just having a go on them to vent my anger, I'm being very honest in this review and my main goal is to warn anyone who reads this so that they are warned and not get stuck with perhaps one of the worst places they can use at a very high price. If I could give them minus stars I would, that's how bad they are, want more details keep reading.

I've been using their Virtual Office services since 2018, problems started early on, but I kept going just giving them benefit of the doubt sometimes and sometimes i just didn't want to cause trouble to the staff, missing packages, forgetting to notify about mail, keeping mail for over 13 months without ever notifying me, many mistakes over and over again.

The only thing they care about is how to tied you in a one-sided agreement that only serve them, and that you can't get out from. Add to that a very disjointed staff and very bad service, with no one to complain to to fix anything.

They promise high quality services but provide less than adequate and charge you over price for that, and the worst part is you can't even complaint or take any action to correct the situation!

Hi,
Thanks for getting in touch, although I am sorry to hear of your dissatisfaction.
Regardless of the reason, I understand how frustrating it can be and apologise if we haven’t provided you with the level of service that you expect and deserve from us.
Your Community team is available to help you resolve any concerns. Should they not know how to assist you, they’re still to guide you towards a resolution team.
We do not provide a “one-sided agreement” as we highly value transparency and we always ensure that any concerns have been clarified before an agreement is signed. All our agreements have a specific notice period for the termination. You can terminate your agreement according to the notice period of your agreement via your online account.
We are aware that your previous local community team has agreed to charge a postage fee instead of a mail forwarding fee. Our mail forwarding service terms have been updated according to the global requirement which we also shared with you.
We have provided you with a solution that you have rejected. However, the solution still remains available for you to reconsider, and do reach out to your local community team for further assistance on this matter.

(If you have issues like hidden charges, unilateral change of contractual terms, and late return of deposits, please report to the UK Competition and Markets Authority citing reference CMA 2 3 0 4 1 2 - 1)

Do not trust Regus when they offer you quotes. In fact, save yourself and go to other providers. They do not honour those quotes and will try and gouge you by increasing the rent mid-way through your current.
This is coupled by getting you to give them banking authority to take as much as they like.

They also recently changed the rules to require you to give them that authority, failing which they will charge you an arbitrary "payment retainer" - they added this to the contract unilaterally after we signed a version that did not have that clause.

They also disregard their own rules saying annual indexation is 6.2%. In our case, they increased the rent by over 10% without notice mid-way through the contract.

As you can see in the photo, they don't tell you they will just change the rent midway when they lure you to click accept a price.

Regus .. – Regus Rep

Hi John,
I am sorry to hear of your dissatisfaction.
Please be assured that the price increase was not arbitrary, but rather a necessary adjustment due to the increase in real estate costs, which is an integral part of our agreement. As you may be aware, this indexation is a standard practice in the industry to account for fluctuations in the market. It ensures that our pricing remains fair and consistent with the current market conditions and is part of the agreement you signed that you had read and agreed to. No other adjustments can be made.
A member of my team has been in touch to answer any further questions you may have.

Beware of Regus Billing Practices
May 6th, 2021
Verified purchase
• Previous review

Beware of doing any business with Regus Management Group LLC. The company appears to have elevated deceitful and fraudulent billing as a business strategy to meet its revenue and profit numbers.

The company re-initiates expired and dormant contracts at will and then back charges your account and credit card for the period when the account remained dormant. This practice is clearly illegal, but Regus appears to be counting on lax enforcement of legislation that protects individuals from business fraud and overbilling.

If California State Attorney's office was doing its job, Regus' fraudulent practices would be investigated as Regus seems to have taken a page out of Wells Fargo's fraud playbook of opening accounts without its customer's permission.

Tip for consumers:
I would never recommend that anyone use Regus. There are far better options that are available on month to month service and at much lower price points. In particular I would advise that be particularly aware that this company will not hesitate in fraudulently billing your account for services that you may have never signed up for or hitting you with "late payment fee" even if you have already paid your bill on time.

What a terrible company and product and what a bad service too!

In addition to all the start-up problems we have experienced with our company, you can wait weeks for a response.

In addition, the payment is almost impossible to get. We had to link our credit card several times, temporarily transfer manually and after we finally got everything right, we could start again with linking. This is for so-called security reasons, but in practice that security is hard to find and it only costs you extra time. Invoicing is also very unclear.

I have therefore decided to stop immediately, but that is not possible because I am committed to six months of contact.
You could cancel per month, but then you had to pay "even" more. In itself logically suggested to pay that difference but never receive a response and without any form of feedback simply send the next invoice again.

I have really never experienced such a bad service, apart from their product which also has very poor functions that do not even function properly.

Hi Mouhamad,
I’m sorry if you felt the need to escalate this.
All of our services and costs are detailed in the agreement you signed.
Any service that you do not require can be opted out through your online account.
The activation fee is actually on the front page close to the box you signed confirming that you had read and accepted the agreement and is explicitly detailed.
Our invoices are payable no later than on the 15th day of the month.
If payment is not received by the due date, we incur administration in managing your overdue account and, though we would like to avoid charging you for this, we will need to pass on a late fee to you.
I would be happy to look into your specific circumstances of your case but you haven’t provided the details to your account.
Could you please email me at michelle.spire@regus.com with your company name or account reference (as displayed on your invoice) along with all relevant details regarding your concerns?

The Bait: The office looks super nice, the space is clean and professional. You can call the local office and you can reach a friendly staff member quickly.

The Trap: Miss a payment ( substitute you reason here) and you will be locked out of your account, try to reach billing to correct and pay and get back on track good luck you will not be able to speak to anyone. Next thing you know you will be speaking with debt collectors who want the whole years payment up front. Think Regus cares about keeping long term clients, think again, There is an endless supply of fresh blood to be had. Thinking this wont be you, think again. I was foolish enough to think that myself and i had my accounts on auto pay so i would not slip up. But everyone slips sooner or later ( took me 4 years) and when you do, they will be waiting.

Bottom line i will pay my new bill of $1654. 74 but i will also gain satisfaction knowing i will no longer have to deal with them and if i can save someone else from this TRAP all the better.

Hello,
I apologise if you are not completely satisfied with the service.
Payments are very easy to make. A customer can contact the centre directly by email or phone and our staff can give guidance and the account helpdesk are always available by raising a case through the help section of your online portal to support you. Payments can be made by bank transfer and customers can log into on the online portal and upload the payment slip to Account – Billing and Payments - Upload financial documentation. Alternatively, the payment can be made directly by credit or debit card. In addition to all of this, a debit or credit card can be set up to make automatic payments, or a customer could set up a direct debit through the online portal. We do not set “traps” as it is beneficial for both parties to have an account that is active and up to date with payments. We partner with our customers to help them run and grow their business, but we also have a business to run and do not provide a service to customers who do not make their payments. In these situations, an account can be restricted until a customer settles any outstanding balances.
I would be happy to look into your specific circumstances of your case in an effort to make sure we have provided the best service possible but haven’t been able to identify your account. Could you please email me at michelle.spire@iwgplc.com with your company name or account reference (as displayed on your invoice) along with all relevant details regarding your concerns and I will be happy to look into anything outstanding.

Hi Michell,
I’m sorry to hear that you’ve experienced this.
Your agreement will continue until you bring it to an end through your online account. At that time, please give us as much notice as possible, but no less than the specified notice detailed in your agreement terms.
Ending your agreement is easy: Simply log into your online account and go to the Account/Product & services section to confirm it. We’ll then email you with a confirmation of your end date.
Our invoices are payable no later than on the 15th day of the month. If payment is not received by the due date, we incur administration in managing your overdue account and, though we would like to avoid charging you for this, we will need to pass on a late fee to you.
You can review invoice and payment dates on your statement of account, available in your online account.
I would love to help further but haven’t been able to identify your account. Could you please email me at lorraine.brule@regus.com with your company name and/or account reference (as displayed on your invoice)?

Regus stands as a shocking testament to how NOT to manage billing and customer service. Eager for a simple workspace solution, I began my journey with them by purchasing a lounge membership. Little did I know that this was my first step into a quagmire of incompetence.

Seeking an upgrade to a private office, I was astonishingly overcharged for four months of a service that was already included in the new package. In a bid to prevent more blunders, I removed my credit card from their system. Yet, the true debacle started when Regus took over three weeks to rectify this error. After several chasers on my end, their delay led to a late fee on my first private office invoice. How ironic.

Upon addressing this, I was met with a maze of contradictory emails. Their solution? Pay the unwarranted late fee first and then they'd "generously" credit it back. The time it took to get to this point? Another late penalty. This circus had dragged on for so long that I never even graced the threshold of the private office I was paying for.

Desperate, I reached out to their CEO, Mark Dixon. The outcome? A deafening silence. This entire fiasco underscores Regus's glaring absence of customer service and complete lack of accountability.

My advice is unambiguous: steer clear of Regus. They've mastered the art of complicating the uncomplicated, and you'd be better off seeking alternatives than getting ensnared in their web of ineptitude.

Hi Mike,
We’re sorry for your experience although we do not feel it’s been accurately retold.
You upgraded your Membership to an Office from 20 July 2023. As a result, we adjusted our billing (we bill our products monthly in advance, so credit notes and new invoices had to be raised).
Whilst we understand that these adjustments can be confusing, there was no billing mistake (we checked every single line of billing and sent you some explanations).
As your account balance hasn’t been cleared, a late payment fee was charged.
We’re already in contact with you directly and have offered our assistance to resolve your concerns. We hope to hear from you soon.
Thank you for your cooperation.

We agreed to renew our 8th year agreement with Regus CIMB on February 2022, only to be notice the center is closing and moving to another location in March 2022. Which we do not wish to continue in that location, after multiple attempt to negotiate with REGUS, they unilaterally decide it's our fault and insist of charging us a full years of fees. We are gathering other affected tenants to taking legal action on this matter. And we will close all our other agreement with Regus Malaysia.

Hi Toya,
At Regus we work hard to ensure full transparency in our invoicing process.
Our invoices are made up of two different types of charges:
1. Recurring charges like your monthly office fee, parking, signage… These are billed in advance.
2. One-time charges like meeting rooms, photocopies, admin support… These are billed in arrears.
All your invoices are available in your online account (Account section) and payable upon receipt but no later than the 15th day of each month.
By setting up an automated method of payment such as direct debit or credit card, you are saved the hassle of arranging manual payments and possibly incurring late fees.
Setting up a direct debit or credit card payment is simple; it can easily be done through your online account (Account section). You will have an allotted number of days each month to review your invoice before the payment is processed.
Please feel free to contact me at michelle.spire@regus.com if you need further assistance.
Best regards,
Michelle Spire

I settled account in March 2021 with collections agency for a contract that would've ended in August- well before the 2 month requirement and now all of a sudden I am being billed again and the customer service rep who responded to my email is refusing to give me contact information to their billing department. STAY AWAY FROM THEM! Nightmare

Regus .. – Regus Rep

Hi, I am very sorry to hear of your experience.
There must be a reason for invoices to be raised, and I’d really like to clarify the situation and assist you.
Unfortunately I cannot identify your account. Could you please email me at sandra.melody@regus.com with your company name and/or account reference (as displayed on your invoices)?

Many thanks,
Sandra Melody
