I registered and tried to transfer them it said it would not go through and account suspended. So I called and an agent said apologized... And I said well if there's a question of anything then what about a quick video call off me holding my ID, others companies and the IRS verify you this way but noooooo. She was helpful though and I said the account would be unblocked in 2/48 hours and once the funds are back in my account I could transfer again and there would be no problem this time because she was making a note in my account plus she gave me a 20$ discount. So... A week later and I try again and the discount is there and after I did the same transaction, same recipient and same payment method, I called to double check that there would be no problems. Well the very rude agent said no my account is suspended again and she refused to give me her name or the name of her supervisor. Totally unprofessional and now the money is not where it needs to be in time. Horrible u professional company with zero checks in place just suspend.
They did this to me 2X already. First, on December, i sent money to my friend but his account was closed but Remitly did not give me back my money.
Second, yesterday I sent money to my wife and nothing in her Banco de Oro account. I called today Customer Service and told me they will investigate and wait 7-10 days. The same reason on my first transaction.

On March 18,2020, I used this app to send money to Brazil. After one week I got a receipt saying the transaction was completed and that money was in my account. How come they sent me a receipt if the money never got in my account? Besides, I tried a hundred times to reach their custom service with no luck. Almost a month later, and nobody never answered me, either by phone, email, Facebook, or Dove message. Sooo disappointed! I understand all the services are reduced, but theirs are just inexistent. There's just no way to reach them. I just don't know what else I can do to get this money back or transferred.
Remitly is horrible, I have to repeat my scenario each time I call, and the answer I get depends on who I talk to that day. The supervisory team makes false promises and say they will resolve the matter. It has been 16 days and I still am waiting for my 'expedited' transfer. HORRIBLE service!
My account is under *******@gmail.com. I transferred money and y'all have my account temporarily closed because y'all think it's suspicious. Y'all have my money on hold and no one to talk to about bc I can't get in my account. This business is horrible. No one is available to talk to but y'all checked my account out and did this. Now I suggest I get my money back and never ever used y'all again. Thanks.
I was never confident about using Remitly but a friend suggested me to send money through Remitly convincing me for a better rate and quick service. Well I sent money on April 7th and the expected date of delivery was April 13 but after multiple attempts, for 3 days the recipient was unable to pick up the money. The recipient bank completely was ignorant about the transaction. I decided to cancel the transaction and hit by another surprise, that I would get my money back after two weeks. I would never use Remitly again.

Don't EVER use this company. They are a joke. I've been on the phone with customer service for HOURS this morning. I sent TWO payments yesterday to the same person. One went through and one did not. The bank came back and said that the name I provided doesn't match the account which is a bunch of crap because I've been paying this person for months with the same information and the same account. One person went back to the bank and said they corrected it but they did not so I called back for a FOURTH time. This person is just lazy and refuses to contact the bank and get the problem resolved. They also refuse to refund my money. Completely unbelievable. DO NOT USE EVER!
I was trying to retrieve my account customer service ask me dozens of questions I gave them all my informations everything but still couldn't help me. I decided to go to another remittance company. I am very disappointed goodbye Remitly.
First time they send the right amount they tell you by the message to earn your trust and 2nd time they start cheating you by sending the less amount and the customer service phone they list in the web site does not answer. Be very careful I got $7 less amount received the other side the whole purpose to save money for the service fees is ruined and my party on the other end got frustrated by dealing with the bank who got less money after Remitly transfer. I might start a law suit for these bastards.
Do not use this app. I sent money to a friend and then they said that the bank at my friends country didn't receive it so I had to cancel it and they did refund me my money which was fine. But then, about two months later I see in my bank account that Remitly removed the same amount that I sent without my approval. I called customer service and they told me that they would return my money and that they don't know why that happened. They said to way 72 hrs to get the money back. I kept sending emails and calling after the 72hrs and I still haven't received anything and they won't answer my emails anymore. I basically got money taken from my account without my consent. Don't use this.
After 48 hours of sending dozen pics of my driver license when I called they told me they were still holding the transfer now they needed me holding the driver license in my hand and upload to send them! What a joke. Never ever again!
Out of all the incompetent service providers that brutalize consumers, I believe Remitly takes center stage. This company is on NASDAQ and it's 10K is so grotesquely full of puffery and ridiculous self love that I wanted to vomit. The bottom line is that extrapolating from my experience trying to resolve any issue is almost always pointless. The people on the other end are zombies at some call center on the moon. They don't speak any human language! They read or paste into a chat random broken script as a response to any question. They finish every sentence with some bizarre distortion apologies and weird platitudes that mean nothing. I have seen horrible service but this is a new level. Don't walk away from Remitly, run from this grotesque distortion nightmare that would make even the most daring Saturday Night Live comedians uncomfortable.

After using world remit without any issues for many transactions I tried remitly based of their claim of a better exchange rate. After creating the account, and right after I provided Remitly with the same information that world remit has the transaction was denied by a concern team (Apparently they met in less than1 second, reviewed the file, chgecked the data, never attempted to contact me and then lied.)
My bank has no documentation of Remitly submitting a request of funds so this is a scam. But there is worse: there rumors that a gang with iniside information has been using credit cards information gleaned inside remitly I have no direct knowledge of this but it makes sense. Please report to your bank anyd suspicious activities like mine. Their rating is very low in USA = for a reason!

Joined 1st time seemed straight forward. Then transactions was put on hold no information why. Contact customers service they said that bank of my choice( fir Šiauliai was given 2 choices only) did not deal with euro transactions... Nonsense this was one of the oldest banks in Lithuania "Medicinos bankas" and euro us Lithuanian currency and been for years. This bank wax exchange 80% of world's currency since I knew it 19 yers in my case... they should not offer services that they can not provide.

Worse worse worse. Express service will have your folks waiting days to receive the money. Crappy service. DO NOT USE REMITLY EVER EVER EVER EVER. If you want to wait weeks before your money gets to its destination then go ahead and use this good for nothing service. Their customer service is just as worse as the product. Use a tortoise to send money before you use remitly. Worse money remittance ever. Matter of fact they are not a money remittance company... they hold your money and use it to trade for days before they release it at their convenience.
I just wanted to tell every one that remitly have stolen my 2100 Dollars money they shared my information with the hacker and the hacker stole my money and they do not want to return it back, I am very disappointed with the help I got from them

Was promise the funds will be delivered to the beneficiaries by 3.04GMT but when the funds were not available at the specific time called the advisor twice for an answer but they start blaming the beneficiaries bank for not responding which they know of the time difference but still promise saying the funds will be deposited an the promised date. Remitly makes you deposit ur funds but takes 2 days to do the transaction which I was not happy at all
Worst & Terrible experience. I was a new customer and they offer PROMO rate to new customers but when I was making transaction, the transfer rate changed like there was a 1 CAD = 57 INR on home screen for new customers but when I was making transaction, the rate displayed to 1 CAD = 56.79 INR. The raised this concern to support/service team but didn't got any reply... They are unresponsive and unreliable people. The referral amount also they don't gives to customers. Lots of excuses and talking about terms & conditions bla bla bla... Stay away!.
I signed up, sent in ID and sent some money to a friend (Gcash). I used online Chat for some help. Later it gets rejected. I try to sign in to Chat but it says my account is locked due to suspicious activity. (I just signed up earlier.) I follow the "Get Help" link and it goes to the Help section. It says Phone and Email are disabled due to COVID virus. Chat seems open but I have to login - but I CANNOT login. They have me stuck in a loop and no want to contact them. Did anyone there think of this situation or is this just a scam site?
I left voice mail on their Seattle number but no return call.
I don't understand how COVID impacts them. It is an online company... people can work home on the computer and phone.
