I have used Remitly few times and never had any problems but on 3rd of December I made a transfer to India for which I got a message straightaway that the message has been received by the recipient. When I called the recipient I was told he has not received any funds. I thought maybe because of the weekend it got delayed. I contacted again on Monday and got the same answer from the recipient. Since then I have been trying to talk to Remitly to find out about the whereabouts of my money. Keep getting the same message that it is under investigation. The money was sent for my mother's treatment which, unfortunately, has now got delayed due to this problem. No one has bothered to inform me till now that there is problem in transferring the money. I have been chasing them with no answers yet. One of their staff had even the cheek to say that 'I should suffer' and there is nothing he can do. It is my hard earned money for which no empathy shown. I am absolutely devastated with their attitude.
It asks me to be specific, that would take awhile. I suggest other options. Customer rude chick in India, that I couldn't understand...All I'm trying to say is, find another way. I did.

I was made to enter information, including address proof and bank details. Then the account was suspended. Then I was told "we have your information, but wont share it with anyone."
I opened an account and had to transfer CAD 999. Next day I got an email that the transaction is cancelled. When I tried logging in, I could not get in and it said there is something suspicious. I chatted with them online (someone from India), and I was told that my account access was blocked and they could not tell me the reason. OK... I thought let it get to office hours in Canada. So I called them at 1pm ET and after 1 hr was told that compliance has rejected me. What! I work for one of the largest banks in Canada in risk management and I handle millions of dollars for the bank. I told these guys I want to talk to their Compliance, to which the guy said the Compliance never speaks to customers and I cannot deal with Remitly any more! Oh! What a stupid company... I asked that call center person if it was drug money or money laundering I was doing. Transfering CAD 999 from a Big 5 Canadian bank through this stupid service. By the way I also had looked up Moneygram in the meantime. The only thing somewhat attractive was the one-time promo for new customers in Remitly else, there are much better rate providers... and avoid this high-handed approach of Remitly.
I cancelled a money transfer a month ago and they have not reimbursed my account. I have tried chatting and calling their contact links and still no results.
I have used Remotely many times. They have an installed
rule no transaction of more transfers than 3 times in a 7 day period

They will add receipt without sending alerts and stole ur money and say they are not responsible for money and block you for further contact
I sent money to Brazil on 15th December and this amount didn't get to destination yet. I've been waiting for this solution for 4 days. I'm very disappointed with this app.

The money never received by the receiver.
Remitly claims that it was but the receiver states that it's not.
Remitly Customer service is going to do a trace to see what happened but if there's a certain that it was received, they should have proof of that, but they cannot provide it.
Is this point this is my formal notice to the company remitly if you do not send me back the almost $900 back to my account within this week. I am going to send a legal letter to demand the money in small claims court.
I have read over 500 reviews of you losing peoples money, playing games with CustomerService and you're doing the same tactics to me so I'm not going to go through it you have until Wednesday to return my money or I'm going to send a notice of demand to Delaware to your registered agent and I'm going to initiate a small claims court lawsuit against you for failure to deliver the money and failure to comply with banking laws in know your customer KYC verification as he didn't do any at all, but your claim that the money got there somehow.

This App is a joke. They will keep asking for your ID, your PASSPORT NUMBER, your address ( they requested it 6 times!) Reason for sending money, they will cancel your transaction even after you sent them everything they asked for. Its a JOKE. Horrible, just HORRIBLE APP. I WILL NEVER USE REMITLY AGAIN.

With Wise not doing GCASH right now and a waste of 3+ hours trying to get a transaction to go through with Worldremit (SUCH A BASSACKWARD COMPANY) their customer service manager revealed that Worldremit's Metro Bank was actually out of commission and they couldn't process GCASH anyway...SO I TRIED REMITLY...and IT WAS A PIECE OF CAKE! I received two texts to confirm my identity and a verification phone call--to make sure I wasn't a sucker. The reviews here are so bad that I was expecting the worst. But what could be worse than Worldremit? I mean really.

Remitly sent through my first money transfer of $200usd to Mexico just fine. But when I tried a second transfer, it initially went through, but then Remitly sent me an email saying there was an issue, and I needed to log in and answer some questions. So I did that, mostly pertaining to the person receiving the money. But they also wanted a photo copy of my bank statement! WTH! For a $250 transfer? I called my bank and they said don't do it. It was a 5day transfer straight from my bank to remitly they would have had plenty of time to get the money and send it on absolutely NO reason for them to request my bank statement. I had quite an online chat with one of their customer help agents what a joke. He gave some song and dance about Mexico wanting to make sure I wasn't laundering money ($250? Please!) and a bunch of other crap that made no sense. So I refused the demand, and they cancelled my transfer. People, this company is either getting hacked, or they are running an elaborate scam. Run, Forest, run!
I have used Remitly online remittance service to transfer funds to my family in the Philippines for years. Same time frame and the same recipients each month. My two, 1st of August 2023 support payments were transacted routinely. On the 15th of August, I noticed that unknown bank withdrawals were being made via Remitly online remittance service. Thousands had been fraudulently transferred to unknown foreign recipients. I immediately deactivated my Visa DEBIT bank card and contacted Remitly. Remitly customer service (located in a Call Center in the Philippines) denied any responsibility while claiming my account must have been "HACKED". Remitly had also increased my account SENDING LIMIT without my consent, so their cronies could empty my account faster. The so-called fraud department regretted that, their fraud monitoring system and two step verification had apparently failed. Remitly cleverly used Mobile Money transfers to avoid tracking the scam. I demanded that my account be closed to prevent further fraud attempts. Instead, Remitly conveniently deleted my account and erased all historical transactions. Remitly refused to reverse the fraudulent transactions or reimburse the stolen funds. I believe Remitly has criminal operatives within the company, conducting systemic cybercrime on a regular basis. Remitly is under investigation for fraud by local, state, and federal authorities. A Class Action preliminary investigation is forthcoming. Details to: *******@proton.me
