We haven't received any payback yet. It has been 17 days that we returned the car. I have never have such problem with other companies. I will certainly not recommend this company to anyone. Their explanation was not enough and didn't satisfy. I have all rights to write about this awful experience to online comments in every car hire platform..

DO NOT USE This site to rent a car, they overcharge, offer fake insurance. Require a $17K usd deposit from car rental company even tho they ensured you their insurance was the best! They send you emails saying don't get scammed by the local rental agency, even though Rentalcars.com says in their paperwork they send you that the rental company needs to collect a $17,000 deposit. Worst experience ever!

I wish I could give less than a one star to this company. My father-in-law was admitted to the hospital today and we were to leave on a trip and pick up a rental car tomorrow. Of course, I have had to cancel our trip. I have reached out to this company via email, chat, and phone but have been told I am out of luck even though it's a medical emergency. If I want to rebook, I must make changes by tomorrow even though I have explained that we are dealing with a medical emergency and don't have time to figure out another time, place, and date to reschedule the rental. I have tried amending things on the website but receive a message that I can't do so at the current time but to check back. This is incredibly frustrating especially when I am dealing with a more important situation. I would not recommend using this company!

Watch out for their trick. They send you an email that the booking is not possible and 15 min later the email confirmating the booking. If you miss the second one no refund possible.

I made a reservation and for some reason my credit card go through, so I cancelled and my husband made a new booking. A week later, they charged it, so they kept my credit card number, and decided to go for it and make the reservation with out my consent.

First, it was not the care type it was promised. Second, the guy at the airport was rude. We asked him to mark the scratches of the car before we get in, he refused and said: "You don't want me to get the car back and leave you in the middle of the night here." Unbelievable.
Also, he was not at his desk when we arrived. We have to look for him in the entire airport. Later, he showed up and try to make us feel guilty that we were not there when he was there. How could we be there we have the plain hasn't landed yet when he was there.
Lastly, they promised to return €600 deposit 2 weeks after return. It's 7 weeks - nobody cares to answer my emails or pick up the phone.

Really bad experience with them. They just take my money and they find a way to not giving me the car.
And obviously, when you claim a refund, they tell you to contact the real rental agency (avis, hertz,...) and the real rental agency tells you to contact rentalcars. Congratulations! You're now completely $#*!ed!

Don't waste your time with Rentalcars, it's just another middleman who will try to $#*! you as soons as they get the chance to.

I went on a trip to Chile for a month and prior to my departure I booked a reservation with Rentalcars.com. Prior to my departure I called once again to confirm the amount and was
Told that the only change in price would be if the peso had a change in value but it would be only a couple of dollars. When I got there, they wanted to charge me $388.00 more
For insurance. I declined the car and was still charge full price after they promised only

We booked a rental car through this website, came at the airport, the rental agency didn't have a car in the size we booked and didn't want to give an upgrade or so. We had to book at the rental agency and did not receive our money back. Completely unreliable!

They charged me the full insurance coverage while I mentioned several times that I did not want it as I am already covered with my credit cards. I have booked a navigator and I paid for it, but it did not work at all, I asked to be reimbursed but they did not want. They did not want to listen to you, their customer service is not professional, rude and agressive! Avoid rentalcars if you want to stay healthy.

I came to the rental point at time. They provide me Panek car. I already rented cars in Poland and using Panek directly overall, but in Panek office they said they can't provide me with a car, because I don't have EU passport. But there's nowhere such a requirement on their website so I was left without a car and that spoiled my plans.
Moreover the customer service is terrible. 4-5 different persons wrote back on my email claim and asked the same questions about me and my booking and in the end sent me to their site to make a claim by my own. But why then they asked me details?
In the end they didn't refund me already paid money.

I booked a car through rental cars.com. Thought it was a done deal and that was the price I would pay. Picked the vehicle up drove it and returned it in exact same condition. Get my receipt and I was charged $260 more than what rental cars.com quoted me. Both the car rental company and rental cars.com said you signed the agreement when you picked it up so that's that. Payless Car Rental didn't honor the agreement I had with rental cars.com and rental cars.com didn't stand behind the agreement they had with me.

Found a nice car for good price for 14 days, month after i ordered the car i get a mail that the car has been canceled because the system didn't register a letter in my name. No mail to change the letters or anything to let me know there is a problem, just one letter that the car has been canceled, when I call them they don't want to do anything to help other than rent me the same car for 4 times the amount. Stay away from this company.

Do not use Rentalcars.com to book a car. Youll end up in a he said, she said dispute if theres any booking errors.
I recently booked a rental car from Dollar Rent-a-Car in Nashville, TN via Rentalcars.com for a daily rate of $34.91/day. At the completion of the rental I was charged $72.41/day. Thats a 107% increase in the daily rate versus what was confirmed at the time of booking! I was overcharged $37.50/day plus taxes.
Dollar customer service says the rate of $72.41/day was transmitted to rentalcars.com for the booking.
Rentalcars.com, who receives no money from this transaction, says that rate of $34.91/day was provided by Dollar Rent a Car at the time of booking.
So, my only recourse is to vent on social media. Buyer beware.

I reserved a mini van for a trip to Denver. This reservation included a request for a toddler car seat for our grandson. The reservation showed the amount due upon arrival. Upon arrival, I was informed by Budget that the car seat was not included in the cost. I called Rental Cars customer service and filed a complaint. I would not use a company that is not upfront in its business practices.

A complete lie. Rental confirmation said location of car was at the airport. It was certainly not. We waited 30 minutes for a shuttle to take us another 30 minutes away (the opposite direction from our hotel) to an offsite location for our car. Storefront was dirty, car was dirty. Terrible experience. Will gladly pay more next time.

They took my reservation and the money. When I was going to pick up the car, I received information that the card I paid for my reservation with was unable to use to pick up the car with. It is the same credit card that I paid the reservation with. I contacted my bank and they said that there is no problem with my credit card and it should work. I did not get the car and no money back. I went to another company and hired a new car with the same credit card without any problems. Rentalcars took my reservation and the money. Be careful and try to avoid Rentalcars.com.

I rented a car from Rentalcars.com in 2016 to be picked up in Paris at CDG. I paid for the car in full. When I arrived a bit late due to airplane issues, they had rented my car to someone else. Not only was I stranded after a difficult flight, but they took my money and then took someone else's money for the same car, and refused to reimburse me. UNBELIEVABLE. To make matters worse (and this is my fault), I somehow forgot about this incident and just rented another car from them. They charged me and then did not send a confirmation, and there is absolutely no record of my rental online. How is this company still doing business?

Be warned... Rentalcars.com are scam artists who send you a quote and after you have booked and paid for the vehicle they advise the price was a "mistake" and try to charge about 3x the amount. We booked and paid $350 for a rental then got an email saying if we wanted to keep the booking we would need to pay $1030 or it would be cancelled. Like I said SCAM ARTISTS!

We are out of $340. They claim that the transaction is still pending. However, they have gotten the money. They are scammers out of England. We have not even gotten a receipt of the transaction. They double talk you. We have no car. And are out of our money that they claim they did not receive.

I rented a car with them, they charged me the car rental and basic insurance before pick the car up at Budget ($300 US). When I picked up the car at Budget they told me I needed to pay for an extra insurance to cross the border from Mexico to US. They were unable to charge just the insurance and charged me again the car rental together the insurance ($400.00) and told me rentalcars would refund me the $300. This never happened! Rentalcars and Budget charged me twice and didn't give me my money back after 2 months of "investigation"

From rentals, to support to refunds to insurance is all a fraud.
The continually break the Consumer Act 2015, do not want to listen to complaints. Offer insurance which is not insurance. Even the rental car company said its a fraud.

WARNING - FRAUDSTERS OR IMPOSTERS
I have made two bookings in Phuket with them, both fully paid, both cancelled by them in a few days. I have received my money back for the first booking they cancelled, but not for the second one.
They have wasted two weeks of my time, during which the prices have skyrocketed and the offerings have vanished. Thanks to their incompetence (or was it fraud to pump up the prices?) I have lost both money and booking.
Looks like they employ all the possible sleazy business practices where they hide behind dozens of legal documents to muddy up their liability for stripping you of your cash. You think you have a contract with them once you have paid their quote? Oh, no. They can cancel your booking at any time without any reasonable explanation and send you another quote with a higher amount. And so on till you are charged 10 grand for Toyota Yaris.
Avoid them by all means possible!

We purchased full insurance for the car, but when we got to the airport to pick up the car we were told that the insurance we had already purchased doesn't work in the UK and we need to have auto insurance through credit card which we didn't and they refused to give us the car. Called customer service and they were very rude and refused to help and did not give us our money back. Save yourself a headache and do not use them.

I made reservations 2 weeks in advance and they couldn't find it. So the discount I received was null and voided. Now that my day to pick up my rental is near and they're saying that I didn't make the reservation. They refuse to allow me to speak to a supervisor, they are arrogant and nasty eupeans and we should never have to give them our business.
