Customer beware! This company raises their prices 1-2x per year. Literally any other trash company will be cheaper! I used them for their recycling, but very little is being recycled nowasdays due to low commodity prices and China not accepting it. When you go to cancel, they will charge you for an extra month of service. They will also charge you $50 PER container when you cancel. They'll also charge $10 for Fuel to pick up your containers when you cancel! Save yourself some money, use any other company!
Great if you want subpar service with higher prices and hidden fees.

Hello. I am so frustrated with your company. I had ANOTHER fee placed on my account that I was NOT made aware of, and you all are absolutely no help. I canceled you all, but after doing so, called BACK the same day to see if you all would lower my payment. Your customer service nicely did, and I paid my outrageous bill at that time to get it reinstated, but I was never told about a reinstatement fee. I am so frustrated by your business and your service. Who can I talk to about this? Thank you.
Terrible service, I got covid and was late with my payment, so the driver did not pick up my blue container garbage, instead picked up some hard foam pieces that fell out from different bin in the street and forced them into my blue container! It happened on Corte De Los Vecinos, Walnut Creek CA about 10:00 am, I was at home and have seen what he did! He basically decided that since he is not going to take my garbage he will add to it someone's trash! He had no right to do it and I will take further steps to track him down! He should not work for Republic Services because he treated me as a customer like one of those pieces that go to the bin! We'll see about it smart guy! I have pictures, by the way.
Bottom Line, I should have read online reviews instead of listening to my wife before we acquired services from Republic Services for our store in Celina Ohio.

They won't let you pay online to keep track of records. Their billing system is out of whack. They are real thieves disguised as civil professionals. I hope this company goes bankrupt. They also have the dumbest sales associates EVER! It's like they are reading a script to you every time you call them or try to explain your situation. I hope the powers at be would do something about these thieves. They will rob you any chance they get.
I literally sit my container on the curb 2 days before my pick up date and they still miss my house. I called customer service and they always tell me that someone will pick it up the following Monday. Nope! I have to wait until the next pick up date (which in my neighborhood is on Thursdays) for them to pick up my trash. This has happened on more than one occasion and is happening way too often now. I'm canceling my services tomorrow! Done with this company!
Evidently Republic is proud of their 1 star service as witnessed by previous reviews here. 5 calls to them by me along with online missed pick up posts and still no results to get 1 bag of garbage picked up. Have however obtained lies from them pertaining to their claimed service response. They still have yet to resolve problem. Exclude none of their available call in numbers, superviser supports, help chat lines. They all are not compitent. Maybe channel 19 news or Health departments could help.Do not know.
At least 6 times in the past 2 months, services were postponed and postponed again due to circumstances beyond their control? 2 hours on hold and do you think tis company would prorate a refund for all the missed pick ups, especially in warm weather? We switched companies, would never ever recommend this rip off company, will be filling a BBB complaint.
Two weeks ago on 1/12/2022 my daughter's car got hit with a tarp that had a rod attached that came off of a Republic Garbage Truck. It bent her windshield wiper arm and it caused paint chips on the hood and the passenger side door. We have called their customer call center 7 times and everytime they give us another case number and tell us to wait so many days from their insurance and no one has ever gotten back to us. We are very fortunate that my daughter wasn't harmed, but now her car has damage that Republic is ignoring.
If I could rate lower, I would. I scheduled a special pick-up for one item. On the day of pick-up, they said I was never scheduled. I spent 45 minutes on the phone scheduling it. Ended up paying more with another company.
Republic is the WORST trash company I have ever dealt with in my 54 years of life! I have never had a problem but these guys take the cake! They have destroyed my grass completely in front of my house. They slam the cans down so hard they dig holes! I wanted to cancel them but they have a contract with the city which I see as monopolizing! So you can't legally get another trash company! What a nightmare!
Save your time and money going with Republic service. I canceled in Aug after I payed my bill. They kept going up without telling me. From $116.40 to 149.26. They told me I would get my 149.26 back plus 85 deposit. It's been almost a month now. Still no money. But I payed then in July. I just called them again and told her I never got my check now she said she would put it in for me to get my money but now she said I'm only getting the $80 and some change back. I don't understand why we pay for there fuel like I told her when I go to work my boss does not pay for my gas. She said I had a choice if I wanted to work or not. That pissed me off. I have been working for over 40 years. I don't know how she thinks they would get payed from me if I didn't work. I spoke to 5 different people up there trying to get my money back. Never would I used these people again.
Phil the account representative with Republic services was very helpful and easy to work with. He took the time to review my account and assisted me a better plan. Republic has always provided great service on time weekly pickups.
We left Republic Service for a different residential garbage service. We paid for the remainder of the quarterly costs despite not using the service as required by our Service Agreement. We then received notification of an additional fee for Republic to pick up their garbage can and clean it. There was no documentation other than" required fees" section of the billing statement. Customer Service offered no explanation other than stating they had to send another truck to pick up the can and clean the can. In addition, our service date was on Monday. There was no pick up on the following day or an additional day's pick up to cover the day that was missed. The discount for the missed service day was minimal at best. Customer Service was terse and slightly condescending in their tone when questioned about their fees and poor documentation. Glad to be rid of Republic and would discourage anyone from using their service.
Called 4 times to order new service and after 45 min, they picked up and put me on hold again and after another 15 min, they simply hung up. The headquarter office pick up my call but they referred me to the same people, no help there either. They suck
My pickup date is Thursday. Due to Memorial Day weekend, pickup was supposed to be following day. My container has been sitting curbside since Thursday and is now overflowing. I called every day and opened an online case. I was assured it would be picked up the next day, and here I am 5 days later and still no pickup. I'm literally around the block from their yard. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE! Their operations manager, Isaiah Breinig, reached out to me to contact him with any issues. I called him twice and emailed him, no response. With all the companies in the area, I will be shopping around and would definitely not recommend them.
So apparently in our neighborhood if it doesn't fit in the bin the garbage guys can't get out of the truck walk two feet and toss it in the truck. People are getting lazier on the job everyday. It doesn't even 10 seconds. All the drivers do is sit in their truck on their asses and get fat.
They've raised our rates regularly since they bought out our former trash service. But they raised it another 59.00, calling it a fuel recovery charge.
Had they raised it another 20.00, I probably wouldn't be here. But there is no way it's costing them 59.00 just to pick up my trash. This is greed. And I'm done.
For 5 months we have been trying to get our payment, taken in error, back from Republic Services. I am constantly told our check was issued, only to get past due notices, and I ask to have someone contact me, and I never receive a return call. I just spoke with them, again, and again I am told I will get a call back. I guess we wait and see.
The last few months, sometimes it would be 2 weeks before they picked up. When we cancelled they charged us $30 to come get container. It was $15 to get container in the first place. Would not recommend!

Answer: My guess is money laundering. I don't know what's in those Republic trucks I see driving around, but it sure isn't garbage! Also, they just don't care.
