Very clear website, it took less then five minutes to reserve a room. My wife and I are visiting a friend in New Jersey and have never spent time in the Meadows. Two for one trip, Hilton looks like a great place for a get away weekend.
Simple and quick but I was not explicitly and separately notified that there is a ridiculous service fee on top of the hotel cost...my error for not reading all lines...will NEVER use this site again!
Will never use them EVER again. Booked 2 rooms & just wanted to cancel 3rd night reservation. They couldn't do it after numerous calls to their "billing dept ". Result: they would need to cancel whole reservation & could not rebook as no rooms available... unbelievable! So I cancelled completely with them and booked the 2 rooms for the dates I needed myself.
Useless to involve them in first place. Be more careful next time that you are dealing directly with hotel or a reputable booking company. Stay away from this company. Total waste of time & energy & no rooms after all this!

I wish I could give a zero! I was not aware I was even using a reservation site. They misrepresent themselves online to make it look like You are calling the hotel themselves.
Their customer service is terrible and almost not even understandable. After I hung up with the call because the customer service agent was arguing with me, I got an email a couple days later, also arguing with me! UNBELIEVABLE! Do not use if you are considering and sorry if you accidentally used them like me.

I googled a hotel I needed to stay at in Missouri for a week. When I did it came up on Reservation Counter. I seriously thought I was dealing with the reservation desk of the hotel. I booked it and then later learned that I booked a hotel in Texas by the exact same name. I called Reservation Counter and they refused to give me a refund because they have a no refund policy. They were actually very rude about it. They could have canceled it and rebooked me at the correct hotel but they just kept my money. It was an expensive lesson. Buyer beware!

I thought I was booking with Choice Hotels directly because the Reservation Counter site is made to look like a legit corporate site. No mention of massive fees when I booked, but more than $100 extra was added to my bill.
When I checked into my hotel, I found out that they don't actually pay the hotel and had to pay a second time in order to get a room. Reservation Counter does not pay the hotels, hoping you won't notice the double charge.
When you try to get a refund, each time you call the phone system gives you a different confusing message then disconnects. If you want and wait for an agent, you will eventually get disconnected. There is no one working there, so you can't get a refund.

These people are allegedly 3rd party vendors for the Hyatt. We double booked at the same hotel and tried to cancel our reservations 48 hours later but they would not provide a refund. They said you only get a refund if you cancel within 24 hours of the booking. The Hyatt told them to cancel but they refused. DO NOT USE THEM!
Tip for consumers:
Don't use them, they are scammers. I tried to cancel 48 hours after it was booked because we accidentally double booked. They refused to refund the money because it was not within the first 24 hours

Never, ever book from this website. Be very careful when searching for Marriott hotels. We thought we were booking straight through the hotel. They would not upgrade our room for the safety of my child with Down syndrome who elopes from hotel rooms. We wanted adjoining rooms, the hotel only has certain rooms they have that adjoin. Which means we would need to upgrade. The hotel in of itself is amazing and said this shouldn't be a problem to upgrade with the other site. This site however is horrible and shows no concern for the safety of my child. Never book through them, NEVER!

I thought I was calling the DaysInn central reservation number. The reservation was a mess and took 3 e-mails to correct. Then when I check out I see the hotel would have charged me $330.78 for a 3-night stay but I'm billed by this scammer of a website $418.23. A difference of $88.00 for a pain in the butt experience. I have contact them to see if I can get a refund for this absurd up-charge... we shall see!

If zero was an option, they would get it. AWFUL! Don't use these people. Customer service was not fair. We had to cancel a reservation the day prior to our reservation due to an event cancellation due to the COVID-19 pandemic. They won't refund because it was the day before. Seriously? We cancelled the moment our event was cancelled. We asked for our refund as it is the right thing. I only want the hotel cost, not the silly booking fee. Nope. No humanity. Do NOT use this organization. This was not us changing our minds. We cancelled due to a PANDEMIC.

Thank you for your review. As an independent online booking company we purchase our inventory from multiple hotel partners and suppliers. This inventory has had all terms, conditions, pricing, and cancellation policies dictated by the hotel at the time they sold this inventory off to third party booking agencies such as ours. When a booking is finalized full payment is forwarded to the hotel to secure the reservation for the consumer. For a refund to be authorized on a non-refundable booking, we must contact our hotel partners who will reach out to the supplier and they will in turn verify if the hotel property, who collected the full payment, agrees to authorize a penalty waiver and refund back to the consumer. When the hotel property denies a request for a penalty waiver and chooses to stick to the policies that they have dictated for the reservation, we are contractually bound to comply with their decision regarding the terms and conditions. We apologize for the unfavorable resolution.

They charged me more than 200$ for a room I canceled at the Knickebocker Hotel in Milwaukee. The room was dirty. Not the same description as it was on line. It was not going to sleep the number of people we had. So we canceled. Don't go through this web site to make reservations! Fraudulent!

I called to get a reservation for a handicapped accessible room with a roll in shower. That is what they claimed to have booked me. The room did not have a roll in shower. They refused to modify my reservation claiming that they couldn't. I have to wait 48 hours for them to review the tapes to see if I will even be compensated! So if I leave this hotel to find an appropriate one, I will be screwed because they offer no cancellations. I am contacting my lawyer in the morning.
