Mother's Day fun

Love the quality and colors of my beautiful dresses. I am hoping to wear one for New Years. While waiting daughter wanted to take family pictures so for fun I brought my dresses and accessories. The results were fantastic!

SCAM

So my party is in 2 days, and the tracking device says my dress is still in China. I ordered a month ago. I contacted retro stage the day i ordered because on their website it said to contact them if i had a deadline. The first response i got was "nothing can be done" which pissed me off, and when i called them out about it, someone told me they would "watch" my parcel. No updates. My party is in 2 days, i told them about it WEEKS ago, and i won't get my dress in time. So much for their "help". They are blatantly lying on their website and offer absolutely no help. This is the last time i'm buying from retro stage and i will tell EVERYONE i know that their website is a scam. This is absolutely disgusting.

I ordered three dresses from the company. They sent them three weeks later. I was traveling when they finally arrived. Two didn't fit but when I tried to exchange them, I was told I had passed the 15 day return policy deadline. I wrote to explain the situation, and they said they could not make an exception to their policy. Very backward thinking in terms of their business practices. Certainly not a customer-friendly business.

Bought a dress intending to wear it for Christmas, got to the pay section and gave me an estimate arrival before my required date. Agree, Pay and voila it states there's a delay. Due to it being an $80 order, I wasn't happy with this and emailed straight after requesting to cancel the order. No response just an automated "Your product has been shipped" so I let it be knowing it'd be even more expensive to send it back when it gets here. I tried to track it for a couple of days only to see on day 6 that all the updates were put up at once and it was miraculously returned according to Shop, the recommended tracking app. Sent another email enquiring, low and behold, no response!
Do not order unless you are able to talk to staff in store if there even is one.
Terrible communication and tracking.

Scam
November 8, 2019

I totally got suckered into an instagram ad. Bought 2 dresses, 1 never showed up, 1 came 14 days after purchase which was too late for my event. Return policy you have to pay out of pocket. Total rip off. Go with Amazon Prime they have great stuff.

Gorgeous dress
April 22, 2019

First off, this company seems to offer a bit more room in the hip area than the other dresses I ordered. (I ordered another XXL that was considerably tighter) I found that a better fit for me. I take a 16 in everything, and ordered the XXL to have a bit more of a looser, period look. That worked fine. I could probably have gotten into the XL, but it would have been form fitting. This just skims the body. The length was perfect - the slip came to just above my knee, and the fringe to mid calf. Again, if I had gotten a size smaller, it would have been tighter and shorter. The dress is well made, and the beading gorgeous. The sleeves are nice, and keep your arms from rubbing on beading. The neckline isn't too low, but will show a bit of cleavage with the right bra. All in all, a great value. I got this for a Gatsby party, it should be perfect.

Ordered four dresses returned 2, sent picture etc as asked, I am still awaiting a considerable refund! Many emails back and forth from Bree, any excuse made to hinder the process. Pay Pal has not even been able to get a refund from them! Absolutely no customer service at all! This has been going on since September last year when items were first bought

Don't order from this company.

Currently dealing with an order I cancelled with Retro-Stage. Despite the stated policy that you can cancel an order before it ships, they lie and say it has shipped so you can't cancel. I cancelled my order with 2 hours of placing it on a Saturday, they claimed it shipped the following Monday. The tracking numbers provided are not in the shippers system and it's in China. Phone numbers for the company are recordings that try to sell you insurance then send you to other numbers, one came up as Gordon Ramsay Steaks in my caller id when I dialed it. The auto response messages to emails sound like they are written by a child.

If you don't want it, you can apply for a return after receiving the package

1950's Embroidery dress. Extremely cheap material feels like an old costume, plastic strap adjusters, frayed hems yes hems plural but the zip is the worst. Not to mention a questionable brown stain on the inner layer of the dress that was not in the original picture online because quite frankly it is not the same dress that was shown online.
Won't bother with the refund, it will not be worth the time and money and am in no mood to constantly email 'Bree' from customer service to try and negotiate or find solutions to this scam of a site.
P. S Cannot add terrible photos of proof so don't spend big if your tempted!

From a dream to reality
September 3, 2019

I have always loved the fashion look of the 1920's.

I vowed that if I ever found clothing of that era, I would dress as if I lived back in the 20's.

Happily I discovered Retro Stage. At first I was cautious about getting good quality fabric and if they really duplicated the time.

I ordered several items and when my items arrived, I was definitely excited, happy, and very satisfied with everything I ordered.

I am already planning to order soon.

I look gorgeous in making the past come to life in 2019.

Thank you Retro Stage for making a dream into reality.

No Refund even after paying to return ship item

Beware! This is a company selling out of China substandard material, workmanship and improper fitting clothing. They look really cute in the ads, but sizes are all wrong. I even ordered 2 sizes above planning to alter as necessary, but I couldn't move my arms in the dress and the poor quality prohibited alteration. I requested a return authorization of unworn, unused dress and PAID out of pocket to return ship. Over a month later, no refund and company has not responded to multiple email requests. I have now initiated a payment dispute through PayPal. We'll see where that gets me. So disappointed.

You sent the package back yourself without telling us, how do we know you returned it?
And you did not provide us with the tracking number of the returned package after returning it, how do we know if you sent the package to the correct address?

Our return instructions describe what information you need to provide after returning the goods so that we can check with the warehouse whether we have received the package, and then refund you as soon as possible.

Honestly, you have provided no information other than to tell us you returned the item and there is really nothing we can do

Was very disappointed in my first and last order. The dress is nothing like the picture and sizing is not the same as what is on the web site. I am left to try and sell the two dresses I purchased as its to expensive to send goods back but I am sure thats what the companies want. When I purchased they never said it was out of stock at any times but once I paid for the goods I was told I had yo wait. Very disappointed with the quality and that it is nothing like the picture

Yes it took a long time to get our dresses - about 3 weeks? And then, one dress was the incorrect size. It took a long time to get an email response, and their phone number was not in service, never could speak to anyone. I've emailed, Facebooked, and had limited responses. The return process seems needlessly confusing with many hoops to jump through - c'mon, we're used to Zappos, right? - so we're weighing the option of just having the dress altered locally to get it to fit. Their site looks great, the dresses look fantastic, but they run on the large side of sizing and the return scene / customer service is abysmal. I wouldn't buy here again, lesson learned.

I can't stress enough how much I love these dresses. Although one needs to be exchanged bc it was a smidge too big, the quality is insane for the money! I mean they look like $300 dresses! Will buy from here again!

I ordered online from the UK with a little bit hesitance (i'm always dubious after some bad experiences on other sites).

HOWEVER this was definitely not the case with Retro-stage. The process of ordering was straight forward, when i had a query with the product they were quick to answer. One of the dresses was out of stock but the lady got in touch and advised of such and asked if it was OK, which it was and the dress actually turned up sooner rather than later. Love the quality of the dresses well worth the money.
I have 4 happy bridesmaids for my wedding in Vegas this year.
Definitely recommend 5* service

Dress came damaged
February 1, 2020

I ordered a dress from this site for my las vegas wedding. The petticoat came separate from the dress, the dress got lost in Queens and arrived a few days late, but when it came, I could see through the sealed packaging, it had multiple stains on the dress. I have emailed the company and still have received no response.

I have ordered three dresses from this company so far, and have had good results. I did need to return one for a different size, and due to patient emails from a Customer Service agent (Linda) I finally figured out how to pay the $10 shipping/return fee via Paypal for the exchange. I could not find a working phone number, so I was worried for a bit after reading some of the reviews, but everything worked out well, and I would order from here again.
(I posted a photo where I'm wearing one of my Retro Stage dresses, and want to add the disclaimer that we don't slather on bronzer - it was just the lighting!)

Goods obviously manufactured in China also sent from China warehouse to Belgium. Additional customs cost of 80 euro were added to the original 111 euro purchase cost for 3 dresses! Retrostage acknowledges we should have been supplied from the Europe warehouse, but does not intend to refund. Very unfortunate! So (future) customers be aware before purchasing from Retro Stage: you may end up with double the cost of what is stated on the website!
