I ordered a Ruger Mini-14 target rifle from their site and got it two weeks later from an FFL in Wisconsin, no problem. I paid $702 total and I know the gun is worth about $1400 now. A few days after ordering, I noticed the gun was out of stock - I guess I got lucky. That was three years ago and it has since never been available. I see now, as of Feb. 2021, you can't even ship to an outside FFL anymore. WOW! All in all, it was a great experience for me, but now would probably be impossible. I guess you gotta strike when the iron's hot.

This was the most disappointing firearm purchase experience to date for me. Customer service is horrible and has no answers. Lead times to process run longer than anywhere else with no sort of cooperation to get status. Absolutely disgusting. Me and me two neighbors ordered the same gun, at the same time, they got there's 3 days later…day13 and mine still shows 'processing'. Absolute garbage service, snotty arrogance, and who GAF attitude from them.

Just don't. Whatever would posses you to ever buy a gun from Rural King... just don't do it!... they're nasty, fraudulent, unlawful, dis-respectful, they do not support a buyer... they could care less about anyone... THEY'RE the one's doing YOU a favor just by existing!... STAY AWAY unless you're stupid...

First gun I bought from RK Guns! The shipping was what expected 7-10 BUSINESS days. Gun was in store in Elyria Ohio on 8 day! The Gal that waited on us was terrific! 5 people in line waiting for Background checks it takes time! I would recommend to anyone best deal out there!

I purchased my online order of a hand gun two weeks ago. No problem. I live in Kentucky and the store it had to ship to was in Jeff., Indiana. Okay. I received my confirmation email it was in-store and ready for pick up. It's a 45 min round trip, plus toll fees... I get there and the clerk tells me I can't pick it up because I'm a Kentucky resident and this is Indiana. NO WHERE on their website or throughout my transaction process did a pop-up, tag, or email indicate that Kentucky residents can not buy/pick-up a handgun in Indiana. So I've cancelled my online order and am waiting for my refund. Oh, and I still have to pay the $12.99 shippingthat, won't be refunded. RK just lost all of my future business, my family's, and friends & clients that I will inform.

I have bought many firearms and ammo from my store in Indiana and have never had an issue. Our store always has great selection and very helpful staff. It's the only store I go to anymore for firearms. Seems like these new liberal gun owners buying guns due to covid got mad about the red tape!

As many, I repeat MANY others have said, "in stock" means nothing and neither does the stated timeframe. I waited a full month to receive a supposedly in stock rifle and my local store is only a 4 hour drive from the RK distribution center/warehouse that the rifle shipped from. I called customer service and they couldn't tell me anything, neither could the store. $1300 rifle and nobody can tell me where it is. In the end, turns out for the $12.99 shipping, they throw it on the same semi that is already headed to the local store with another load of mostly imported junk that they sell these days. There are multiple online gun stores that will ship to your local FFL transfer point and have it to you in 2-3 days. I gave RK a try and will never make the mistake again. In fact, I'll never buy from their gun counter again either.

I have bought several guns from RK Guns using the same credit card. Suddenly, I can't buy guns due to their third party fraud company. When I called them, they were of no help at all and said they couldn't tell me anything or help me because the third party fraud company flagged the sale.
What kind of company lets the tail wag the dog? It's ridiculous that they could tell me anything or rectify the issue.
Now I see why they have such a poor rating.

I see a lot of negative reviews here but I have made 2 purchases that were nothing but a great experience. I did make a third purchase that seemed to take a little longer than expected. When I contacted Customer Service via email, they responded within 30 minutes. They apologized and told me that the order had to be canceled. I completely understand given the current climate, I assume that only so many were available and I was last one to order.

I should have read the reviews before placing my order! As it stands the gun had to be returned due to a series of complicated errors and I had to pay for all shipping. Customer service was non-existent. Done with RKGuns.

I've purchased ammo from them 3 different time and sure there's a 10 day wait for shipping and then a few days later it at my door. Customer Service gets back to me every time I email them and I think I spoke to someone on the phone with no problem. My friend as well purchased ammo from them and no problems.

Do not order a gun online here. First they told me they were shipping it to my local RK store, and when I told them I wanted it shipped to another FFL the next day they cancelled my order. The gun was supposed to be a gift for my wife. And, all I got was sorry, but we cancelled it. Go somewhere else for your guns. Farm store should just stick to farm stuff.

I shop the Clarksville TN store. The folks at the gun barn are great. Helpful, thorough, and friendly. Personally, I don't buy anything sight unseen, especially a firearm. I have nothing negative to say. Keep up the good work!

Purchased a firearm through them. Just like the rest of the complaints listed below the item does not ship within the specified timeframe. It has been over a month since my order and no communication. They do not answer the phoneor return emails. I will just not accept it at my FFL once shipped.

Ordered and paid for a.45 pistol. It took about 10 days for it to come in. Then, of course, the background check which was "DELAYED." as usual. I waited 4 days and contacted the store and to no surprise they decided they could keep it 10 days or possibly till May 4th. I informed the first dufensmirtz that I had never waited more than 3 days after the background check was started. For same reason the sales person went and got the manager to tell me it could be till May 4th. It was April the 4th when the check was started. The manager said "we have our own rules here at Rural King." At that point I knew it was useless talking with these people. I advised I would call customer service and start another refund. 0-2 and that will be the last time I'm ever in that store.

I ordered a firearm through Rkguns.com and the email said 7-10 days processing time. After 15 days, I called. The lady was very rude and said online it states 10-20 days. I said okay and that was that. On day 20 I get an email saying it's no longer in stock. So they keep selling the firearms and you just have to hope it's in stock still almost a month later.

Ordered some ammo boxes 5 weeks ago, their site said their processing time is 7-10 days. After a month I emailed their customer support to cancel my order. Zero reply and today shipping updates that they printed a label off and charged my credit card a 2nd time because the first charge expired. Currently working with paypal to get my money back, what a scam site. I get things are slow right now, but atleast check your support email account every few days... I suspect their products are china made garbage and I've already taken my business elsewhere.

Covid shmovid... WHat has everyone decided that that is an excuse for crappy service?
I waited over 90 minutes to get an update on my order. Talk about a big waste of time and money.
I will never order from them again!

Lesson learned i'll gladly spend more $ next time for better service and to receive my gun in under a moths time even tho i ordered it when it said in stock OHH and don't bother going to the store to ask a single question about the order you placed mine said i needed to reorder the gun after the price went up so i went to the store to ask for some clarity on whats going on with my order and the rep behind the counter at the stores response was "so what?" so after i responded with so what? If i knew so what i wouldn't be here wasting my lunch hour talking to you now would i? The manager came over and explained that the online store and the brick and mortar store are completely separate so as i said before lesson learned and i recommend spending your hard earned $ anywhere else

I purchased this gun 3/2/2022 took it out of the box and fired 5 rounds. The Barrel Shroud and the Forearm Assembly Nut stripped. So the forearm and the shroud was about to fall off. I called RK Guns after owning this gun for 1 hour and they said the only thing I could do is to call GForce Arms. I have called them 2 different times and left messages with no returned calls in a week. Just wanted to let everyone know the service you will have with RK Guns and GForce Arms.

I have to agree with a previous post by Tim R. Rk guns sends me sales ads almost every single day. I have contemplated buying several firearms from them but virtually every single gun they have listed is always marked as out of stock. When they get it back in stock, you can't get it at the sales price that they advertised in the special they sent to you. You can't order one at the sales price when the ad is sent, disappointing to say the least.

S&W Shield Plus was the firearm I was interested in. After getting home and looking at websites found out it was for sale at RK ninety dollars over MSRP /MAP. Should have bought at LGS or even online for MAP or less.

Called and asked if price was data entry error after being on hold with corporate car told that's their price.

Have always gotten good pricing prior to this. My fault for not being better informed of current MAP and prices. RK gun barn will be off my list of dealers going forward.

I only give them one star because I had to in order to submit the reveiw otherwise it would have been none. I was told my product shipped but still haven't received after two weeks. When you call Customer Service tou never get through and now they have quit taking calls all together. I have sent emails and get a auto response they received it but a answer. If you are considering a RK online purchase do yourself a favor and call Customer Service first and you'll see.
