Rock Auto has absolutely horrible customer service. I ordered a lower control arm bushing that Rock Auto claimed would fit my vehicle. When I went to press my bushings in I discovered that the advertised bushing was the wrong size, despite their website claiming this was an exact OEM replacement. I contacted Customer Service and was told that I could get a new part (which still would not be the correct size), but no vehicle. When I asked further how to get the correct bushing my order correspondence was closed. Please don't make my same mistake, avoid this company at all costs.
Been 11 days. Shipping hasn't updated in 8 days and they want me to wait another 4 days before I can do anything... No way to submit anything to RockAuto to do anything. Zero customer sales support, literally doesn't exist. I ordered parts to go with the part days later and I got that and a tool a few days later and got that. It's obvious the part isn't coming.
I needed a motor for my Ford f-150 running board (passenger side). I order through Rock Auto and brought my truck to the repair shop. They informed me that the motor sent was for the drivers side. Chose to keep it because that side was also going to be changed. I reordered and brought it to be fixed again I was informed that the drivers side was sent. Upon closer inspection you could see a label with the correct part number was placed over the sticker for the the part number that was actually in the box and etched on the part. Now waiting for a refund. I will never trust this company again.
A zero stars is what they deserve
I honestly loved to buy from rock auto my dad buys from Rick auto a lot of people buy from rock auto. I bought a driveline from them and I'm not going to talk about the amount of time to took to get anything because of supply delays but it was not even close to the driveline I needed, followed the app for returns, received the return slip and sent it back. They are now saying the never received the driveline and will not refund my money so we called our bank and had them cancel the order, once the bank did their investigation RA said that no return was requested and nothing was issued, unfortunately for them we have all the information in email and screen shots.
This is the worst situation
I will not be shopping with them anymore and I am going to start a review war to make sure others don't fall pray to their schemes.
I'm not saying they don't carry a lot of parts, but when your slogan is "All the parts your car will ever need"
You'd better back it up. Out of the 6 cars ( 3 foreign, 3 domestic) I've needed parts for so far not one has been complete, Even for my Chevy trucks I had to go to LMC truck for parts because they don't list options.Don't get me started on customer service, it doesn't exist. There is no one you can talk to EVER!
I just end up shopping local auto parts stores, the shipping is cheaper, parts come quicker, and I'm supporting a local business.
Generally if you buy a part from RockAuto you will not be able to return it. RockAuto does not have means of contact and no customer service. If you get the wrong part, you are stuck with it. I am really surprised that RockAuto has done nothing to correct this situation.
If I buy a brand I want why do they send some other cheap brand, they send parts that are not as described on their web page, then they want you to pay for a return for something they chose. I ordered a six and got some crappy brand….
Below is what rockauto.com response. In my opinion they should cover 100% of the return cost because it doesn't match what their claim. Even though they simply relay what the manufacturer says. RockAuto should take ownership of putting that description on their website. Customer should not be forced to pay part of the return shipment.

Since we shipped the part you ordered and you ordered correctly, it doesn't look like either of us made a mistake. If you return the part, we'll refund the price you paid for the part and the core charge (if any). We'll also split the shipping cost (which neither of us can recover from the carrier)."
I've ordered 2 times from rockauto the first time got the wrong part and never got the refund this time it's been 5 days past delivery date that I paid extra for fast shipping. They are telling me to be patient and give it time. If I had time I wouldn't have paid for fast shipping. It's sat now and won't be getting it tomorrow either. Can't wait to go through the claim process again... $#*!ty service and even shifter customer support
For more than three years now I have made numerous purchases of auto parts from Rock Auto. Alternators, water pumps, pullies, hubs, brakes and a variety of other parts for Chevy, Ford, Subaru and Hyundai. I always click onto the additional info before making my selection. All the parts have proved to be a good fit and good quality. Delivery has been on schedule or ahead of schedule. I like getting a notification in my in box when the parts are shipped.
