Received some records I had ordered today - through the post... Yes! - today, a Sunday! - and from the Royal Mail no less! And they weren't two months late.! Will wonders never cease? Am off to pour myself a quick snifter before lying down for a rest so as to recover from the shock. Credit where it's due. If this kind of service continues the Royal Mail may still be in existence this time next year!
Utterly terrible customer service Posted my iPhone in August to sell to a recycling facility. A week later it hadn't arrived so I tracked it and the tracking said, and still says, 'We Have It'. I filled out the long and very detailed form as requested, and received an auto reply saying we'll get back to you, which they did a month later, 'We're still investigating your claim...' etc., ect. Three weeks later I chased them up again and got another auto reply, then yesterday, over two months after posting the iPhone, I get an email saying, 'Sorry, you need to contact the business owner and confirm the phone is not there after seven days, for us to start an investigation'
I purchased an item from eBay. The Royal Mail postman left the delivery in the communal area of the flats without notifying me. There is a clear notice in the communal area stating that any items found there will be disposed of without notice. As a result, the delivery was lost. I contacted eBay, and they advised me to get in touch with Royal Mail. Over the course of two months, I contacted Royal Mail several times, but instead of acknowledging the postman's mistake, they kept shifting the responsibility either to the seller or eBay. In this way, two months were wasted, and no resolution was reached.
Royal Mail's customer service is extremely ineffective and incompetent when dealing with such complex issues. They are trained to simply protect their reputation by passing the customer back and forth like a football, until the customer eventually gives up in frustration

I bought a product and it was posted more than 2 weeks ago and it stay stucked in "Heathrow Worldwide DC".
It totally $#*!ed my plans and my friend plans, bc we bought the $#*! 3 weeks before to make sure it would arrives, what obviously didnt happened and dont have date to arrives.
No way to buy from this shopper again if didnt use another international mail service.

In November last year a Royal Mail delivery person damaged my securely paddlocked storage unit, which I only purchased in the May, by forcing the corner up and squeezing a parcel into it.
After several emails back and forth Royal Mail asked for witnesses to the damage, my answer was as the unit is situated in my back garden the only witness would be my neighbour and if they were in the garden surely the delivery person would have given the parcel to them rather than try and put it into a paddlocked unit.
They asked for a photo of the card which I sent and it clearly states that the parcel was left in my unit.
They also want two quotes to get it fixed but I could find no-one who would do this.
I received an email today saying that they asked the delivery person and he denies putting in my storage unit and that's the end of my complaint.
That's not what the card says and the parcel was in the unit.
I am furious these companies just think they can do what they want and get away with it.
Simply disgusting.
They offer you a special guaranteed next day delivery but my parcel arrived 3 days later.
It was a covid test that needed to reach the laboratory within 24 hours to be in time for the flight.
They don't deliver what they promise I know hundreds of people in the same situation - not being able to travel because of the incompetence of Royal Mail. On top of that, they just offered a reimbursement of the amount paid, rather than a compensation for the costs of the test and the consequences of not being able to take the flight.
They should ban this type of practices.
Important letter sent via REC Del to obtain signature of delivery. No signature received. Complained, RM confirmed my letter had been received but signature not received, apparently other tracked letters & parcels had been delivered to recipient but sheet listing my item & others items had not been signed. Now to ensure this does not happen again I am having to send important letters via next day tracked at a cost of £6.00 per item.
I will do my best to avoid any company using royal mail for delivery. Ordered something with next day delivery and I am still waiting for the item to be delivered after days. I try to track the item and it says that it hasn't even moved from their depot.
This is so weird, RM representative has made a mistake and sorted my package to wrong country. So now it is stuck in Russia without any movement for weeks. Contacted RM, they confirmed that this is THEIR mistake and that they have nothing to do with it. Awful. Stealing money and sending item to completely wrong destination without any responsibility. I've been waiting for a special package for over a week when I checked the tracking and found out, it is just in the next state which is only an hour away. Two days later, I am wondering where my package is. I check and find out that my package is now across the country in sacramento?! What a waste of time and resources. Shame on you, royal mail! They should all be ashamed. I got a package from France in 3 days, less than a month ago. They desperately need to reevaluate how they route deliveries and whomever is in charge of creating and running this pathetic excuse for a system should be punished and replaced immediately.
Customer service line always takes over 30 mins to answer. In the last month I have had to call on a number of occasions regarding lost mail, even signed for deliveries! They then take weeks while they 'infestigate' why this takes so long when everything is scaned I have no idea? I now use alternative delivery companies that photograph their delivered items. Royalmail is not the service it used to be. Even their postboxs in my area are not collected every day, yet they still charge for first class - wrong!
Absolutely useless, delivery due thru 24 hour track on Sat 24th, notified out for delivery and has yet not turned up, tracking service doesn't work, can't speak to an operator, I've had better service and less hassle from other crappier courier services
Prescot sorting office lost my parcel i arranged redelivery twice booked two days off work on both days they marked the item as delivered which is criminal as far as im concerned, complained but they just shrugged it off, use ipostparcels or hermes who cost about the same for parcels if not less, tracking is a given and compensation for their failings is provided, with royal mail you get nothing but a not my problem attitude...#boycote royalmail
No matter how well I package my products and plaster them in fragile tape and stickers Royal Mail still manage to break them. I know how hard it is to break the items but they still manage it. They must kick and throw the boxes around. And of course their insurance covers nothing.
I was sent a package from an online store who used this company. The estimate time of arrival was 9 days from date of purchase which was fine. But once the package was sent, stayed at sorting center for days at a time. The last message is that it left the UK. I had to pay for delivery and they package which cost me a lot of money which is probably lost due to this company. There is no way for me to contact them, they have no email address or contact number listed on their webpage, just questions and articles. They know since you're in another country you can do nothing if they don't deliver. I do have proof of purchase. I found the new estimated date of delivery which I didn't sign up for on a tracking site. This infuriates me and makes me feel cheated.
Delivery date was supposed to be 26/03/2023 it has now changed to 16/05/2023

I didn't receive my product. Total loss of money. Its insured from the supplier but since Royal Mail is unreachable. Money will not be refunded. Royal Mail is currently on strike. They should rather suspend trading, give a media statement that due to the strike, please do not use their service. They are basic taking peoples money on false pretenses know that they will most definately not honour their promise but oh well they can just blame on the other countries shipping or postal services.
A collection was scheduled between 10:46 and 14:46 today (25/9) but no show. I continued to wait at home in the vain hope that they would appear and at approx 16:35 I got an email to say that they had attempted to deliver my parcel at 16:20 but there had been no one at home. Blatant lie! I was in the front garden from 16:10 to the time I received the email and there was NO ONE from RM within sight of my home!
I now have to wait for them to come tomorrow. I complained to Amazon, who arranged the collection, and unfortunately there was no other option for me to return the item I bought but to use the RM
Collection service. Royal Mail has become the most unreliable and worst delivery service of today and I will never, out of choice, use them! RM Nottingham are a joke!

Too many parcels post have went missing, final letter sent cheque and V5C to Swansea 2 weeks ago missing nothing on tracking to say any parcels letters sent arrived or even made to transit and they want a pay rise yet can't deliver.
The Royal Mail website is one of the poorest around. It almost competes with the gov.uk site. When you have finally not found what you require, you then have a roundabout journey to the same place. When you want to complain, it ends up with you getting to that same place again. I had to resort to emailing the CEO to complain. They really need to test their systems with actual customers. Whoever is in charge of IT at RM, they need to be sacked! USELESS!
Pay people more or hire people that want to work! The services of RM have become a joke, especially considering the prices! Since last November there have been several issues with your services in the UK and with international packages. 1st class recorded packages took over a week to be delivered. I had several cases when there were no updates to the tracking information for a whole working week, this is completely unacceptable in the business environment of today. Several international packages sent in early December have had no update for over a month which meant that I had to refund the buyers and lost repeat business due to the poor service of Royal mail. The time you have to wait to make a claim is ridiculously long and who knows how long they will take Royal mail to process. Complete disaster, switched over to courier services and have been satisfied since.

Royal Mail cutbacks and use of couriers, are making Royal Mail the most unreliable delivery service for parcels. They were always very reliable, now they are the worst, especially in the LU1 area. Doesn`t matter the service used, they will take the money for 24hr services even though your parcel won`t move for days.

Appalling service. Requested a parcel collection from my home as we are shielding. Website stated it would be collected by 3pm Tuesday. No collection occurred but did get email at 7pm apologising and link to rebook. Rebooked for Wed (by 3pm). Still no collection and no email at all that evening! Rang RM CSU Thursday but after waiting 45 minutes I gave up. Had to risk going to the P. O. the next day. Won't be using Royal Mail again!
Will never use royal mail again. Their employees are now very dishonest. I sent a parcel on the 26th for next day delivery. The parcel had other items including a perfume. I got a the grey next day delivery bag at the post office and sealed it in front of the counter lady who labelled it with a sticker as it contained the perfume. However, the items arrived without the perfume. The bag was ripped opened and resealed with a tape. Highly disappointed. I have heard stories of this happening to other people in the past but had always discounted it you know, because it's ROYAL MAIL. THEY NOW EMPLOY THEVIES - it is true if you've heard the stories too. Avoid them this Christmas. The thieves are desperately desperate.
They have stolen my power bank from my parcel(bcs its dangerous :)) )) and... They could send it back to me, so I could resend my parcel properly, but they just took my item and my money.(Lost 40 pound with no refund available).

As of 15th December, still not arrived. Has had 'In Transit - rerouted immediately' message on track and trace since Wednesday 9th. Now on 15th lost. They will only pay the net value of item to me, not the money I paid, which is a disgrace as they are liable.
Detailed information on 8 years of royal mail service will be coming in March 2021 - in the meantime don't use Royal mail. All proof is over 8 years of stolen parcels, late delivery and the worst customer service ever experienced. March 1st 2021 fraudback.com

Ordered a few items from Ebay, from separate sellers, got message via Ebay, to say they had been delivered, but they hadn't been fighting over a week to get an explanation, they have ignored all contact, and they can't tell me where they dropped it. This Sorting office in Edinburgh Must be the worst in UK, everything takes 1-2 days longer, than my home sorting office, to be delivered, several packages go missing, and they have no time or interest in resolving customers complaints.
