I found a great deal on some 14karat gold necklaces. I have 5 sisters and 3 nieces and it was Christmas time so I ordered 11 of the necklaces and paid for them. The company sent me 5 and then realized they must have priced the necklaces too low and accused me of trying to commit fraud lol. How is buying something and paying for it fraud? They then refused to send the other 6 necklaces and refused to refund my money and told me to contact my credit card company to get my money back. That was it I filed a report with the BBB and the FTC and the CFPB. These people are thieves and liars and sell fake items and broken items be very careful when shopping with them. I have not bought anything since and I will never shop with them again. I probably spent 50k there over the last ten years and they have officially lost me permanently as a customer. Walmart.com has everything they have and more and way better customer service. I would go directly to the manufacturer and google any item you see on this site and buy it somewhere aside from Ruelala they are evil.

Never again. I bought a vintage Chanel bag. They shipped via some absurd arangement where FedEx picks the package up from them but hands it off to the US Post office to be delivered. I'm in downtown Chicago and we get several fedEx and UPS deliveries a day, so there was no reason for this FedEx-USPS handoff. I used the same address I always use which FedEx and UPS never have any trouble finding, but USPS could not deliver the package. I went to the post office to try to find the package, but they looked for it and said they did not have it. (Really bizarre to think that the "convenience" of on-line shopping involves having to walk to the post offie.) I emailed RLL who said I had to wait 10 days. On day 11, I emailed RLL and was told I had to wait 15 days. No one who answers my emails ever knows what's happened in the past. They keep telling me that they'll refund my payment but it hasn't happened yet, and anyway I wanted the bag. One of their reps told me that a high value item such as this should never have been shipped via the stupid FedEx-USPS arrangement. She was right. I will NEVER shop RLL again.

Subsequent note: I received a total refund of my payment from RLL. It doesn't make me want to shop there again, but it seems only fair to acknowledge that I did receive a full refund.

Happy with RueLaLa

I actually really like RueLaLa. I have shopped there for several years and have not had the same bad experiences as the others. It is hit or miss as to what you will find and you do have to watch the prices. Sometimes they will advertise something as a deep discount and if you google it you will find it on another site for the same price or even less. I do think they inflate the original price sometimes. But I will say with a lot of the clothing that I bought, the original tags are on there with the MSRP and I do feel like I have gotten some steals. The best deals are the final sales and they do make it clear when something can't be returned, so you just have to decide if it's worth risk. I have never felt that I received anything fake from the site and I have ordered a lot of jewelry and clothing over the years. The shipping is high, but they they do give you free shipping for 30 days after paying the $9.95 on the initial order. They also offer deals throughout the year where you can get free shipping for a year. They normally offer it for $50 but if you hold out they will reduce it to $30 which is a deal in my opinion. The shipping times can be long for some items, but the site does clearly tell you when they anticipate shipping the item. I never had an issue with Customer Service either. The few times I have reached out to them, they have always been helpful. My only complaint, and the reason why I would not give 5 stars, is that I have had a handful of orders cancelled on me over the years. This is always frustrating and baffles me how this can happen. When I click on the "buy now" button, I expect to receive the item and not get an email later saying that the item is not available. It has left me wondering at times if I will actually get what I have ordered. But overall I have been pretty happy RueLaLa.

I recently window shopped on Rue La La and thought I had placed an item to a favorites list only to find out today when I received an alert from my bank that my account was overdrawn by nearly $1k, that in fact, I had placed the item on a list that if the item (which is currently sold out) becomes available they will automatically charge you and ship the item.

After speaking with two Rue La La concierge representatives, I was told that although the watch had not shipped it was packaged and ready to ship and therefore could not be cancelend - it had only been 30 minutes since the order was placed yet they could not or would not do me the courtesy of pullign the package and canceling the order. This practice seems at best predatory and at worse close to fraudulent. At least this sort of thing doesn't happen wtih brick and mortar shopping... At the very least, they should impelment a policy of having to confirm the orders before they automatically charge and ship.

I highly recommend boycotting this site and putting them out of business.

If I could give them no stars at all I would. I ordered a White Duvet which in case you don't know what a duvet is its basically sheets for your bed... that you sleep with, on your bed... I'm emphasizing this because when I received my pure WHITE duvet, IT HAD HUGE, BLACK, LONG AND THICK HAIRS ALLLLL OVER IT! The product was obviously USED. This is bedding! This isn't a watch or some other object which you do not sleep with that doesn't touch your body! Would you ever EVER buy used sheets!? I'm so disgusted! When I saw one hair on it I kind of blew it off, two hairs a little upset, six giant black hairs later I folded the thing back up and emailed Rue LA LA asking for an explanation. There was no explanation given, just a generic email sent with a return label. After seeing the complaints below about refunds I can't fricking wait to go through that process. I would never buy from this company again nor any of its counterparts. I'm four emails in with them now and they still refuse to give any sort of explanation. This company is sheisty, buyers beware.

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER

WORST EXPERIENCE ever in a store. Costumer support is the worst possible. I bought a pair of Tory Burch Sandals from their IG ad (NEVER DO IT) on May,2022. It arrived just 1sandal meaning I can't wear just 1 shoe right? I contacted costumer support in the website right away so they said they can't solve the issue from social media purchase so they created a costumer support ticket to process the issue by email. It was back and for many times from person to person and then they sent an email saying it has passed more than 30 days so they can't refund me so I clarified I have contacted them right away ad the time passed because of them no matter the historic emails. Their costumer support is terrible! Months after trying to call and get my money back they said I am sorry because it's been long time we won't refund you and that's all hang up. I said this is stealing. I can't use one shoe and they practically DON'T CARE AT ALL. They said directly to me " We won't refund you" go to your bank and dispute the charge like 6 months after. It's UNBELIEVABLE. I WILL NEVER BUY IN THIS STORE EVER AND PLEASE DON'T DO IT.
