I have never had any trouble with Sam's Club. They are friendly people and have unique items you can not find any where else.
Today I was scheduled for a 4:00PM COVID19 BOOSTER SHOT. Let me start by stating I've been living with multiple sclerosis for 10
Years. Needless to say, it has been a
Challenge. The Sams Club in Kissimmee Florida does not have sufficient handicap parking. However this is not the nature of my complaint.
The pharmacy personnel were extremely courteous and kind however due to store policy they lack the flexibility to accommodate special needs. After struggling to find parking and struggling to walk to the back of the store to the pharmacy I was told that they could not provide my COVID-19 booster shot because I did not have the physical COVID19 CARD. However as suggested by the CDC I do carry a photograph copy of the card which is not accepted.
I am clearly physically handicapped with very limited use of the left side of my body as well as severe drop foot. In spite of the obvious I was told they could not give me the booster shot and I needed to reschedule my appointment. I'm asking Sam's Club administration or the federal government to give pharmacies the flexibility and power to accommodate where accommodation is desperately needed.
I'm asking for myself and for every disabled person who struggles with mobility.
Check the picture below. It's the back of package of what we just bought for sirloin steak. Is this your standard?
I've been a member since 2013. Shopping in bulk has always been a budget friendly choice for my family and I. What I liked most about Sam's was their many varieties of name brand products, as well as store brand, at an affordable price. From personal needs to housewares, they have something for your day to day needs. As well as their Plus membership benefits.
Lately, I've noticed that their prices has really went up, especially their poultry...ouch. A Lot of items they use to carry are no longer available. Shipping orders take longer to get to you, at least mine did. Their Plus membership is $10 higher this year, with taxes it's $116.70 in my area. Plus no longer offers the 5 percent cash back, it's 2 percent now. Early bird shopping is no longer available in our area since COVID, even though it states it's a part of their Plus membership. Use to be free shipping with Plus, now it's free shipping on most items.
Our renewal was due on Nov 22. We've never done auto renewal, always paid online or in person. Sam's however, took it upon themselves to charge my card for the renewal fee...without our consent. I contacted them immediately and requested a refund. In order to get my refund, they had to cancel our membership...fine with me. The rep offered a $50 store credit in order to get us to stay, no thank you. As I told him, I'm not ok with anyone charging my card without my consent, no matter how long I've been with them. Especially since the changes I've noticed. I received my refund in a few days.
If I ever go back to Sam's, it'll just be the reg membership, but as of now, we are in no hurry to do so. A bit of advice, don't ever allow any business/website to save your credit/debit card info. They can have free will with it anytime they choose.
We are a family of 4 who live 75 miles from the nearest club. We liked Sam's and signed up for Plus for online only shopping as it was our only option. 9 months in, Sam's website didn't let us return. Chatted with customer service, was told it was a website issue. I continued to order not knowing they had already re-categorized our account as high volume/bulk. Never heard of it before. Finally, we were told by their back office about this bulk/high volume by email with a link to a statement that Sam's would not accept returns from this category. Explained to them that we were not bulk, we just lived far from a club and the only way to buy from Sam's was online. We bought clothes, shoes for our kids, which sometimes fit well sometimes didn't. We trusted their return policy "no question asked". But somehow while not knowing this category of bulk/high volume, we were re-categorized without being notified until we initiated a return (of size 7 boys shirts that were way too big than a usual size 7 shirt elsewhere). We got another reply from Sam's back office pretty much repeated what they said before like a robot was talking to us. And the last order of children Zyrtec was cancelled quietly without us being notified. We waited and waited and ran out of the meds for our kids and checked to find out the order was cancelled. The credit card transaction said pending.
We will contact our credit card for help and will get a dispute for the membership fee.
We are disappointed. Their Plus business model is bleeding out their profits, but it was them who created this Plus membership. When we signed up, they were happy to take our $1xx for the membership fee without any warning or footnote saying anything about them one day could decide that we had ordered too many things with free shipping. They started the deal and broke it and bullied us who are just a small family.
This morning I left the tire on my car at Sams Club in Dale Mabry, which is guaranteed to be repaired. The guy was very kind, he told me that he had two cars ahead of him and that he wanted to pick it up when he got back from work because they closed at 7. I came back at 5 and the same guy was no longer there, the new one thia afternoon told me to open the back box and he put the tire inside and I asked him if he was not going to put it in the car and he told me coldly that he didn't have time For that, I explained to him that I had to drive to Spring Hill that I didn't want to do it with the spare tire and he told me that he couldn't. I went into the store and look for the supervisor. I'm sorry I didn't ask her name because she was super kind and conscientious. It was today afternoon 07/17. She immediately told me that I shouldn't worry that they were going to put it on me. I must clarify that I have a plus membership and I consider that putting the tire back once it's repaired is a finished job, thanks once again to the supervisor, excellent customer service
So RUDE, & ignorant,...
SOO SORRY TO HAVE HSD TO BOTHER U TO ASK WHERE AN ITEM WAS. GEESH,...:(
I will never shop there again, RATHER go to Costco ANYDAY of the week! Lol
I had an incident while pumping gasoline on 11/09/2022 at the Sam's Club #4712, located at ******* Old Katy Rd, Houston, TX *******. The pump failed to turn off and gas flowed out all over my car and the pavement. I was able to manually stop the flow without getting it all over me. I had to wait nearly one hour before a manager would address the issue and take down my complaint because the store had not yet opened to the public. Once the complaint was filed I went to the local car wash and had the car washed and waxed to remove all the gasoline residue. What I was claiming from Sams was reimbursement for the car wash and wax job, a total of $125.00. Today I was informed that I would not be compensated for these charges. The reason: The Walmart Claims Services determined that because the particular Sam's location did not have any prior knowledge of a fault with the pump, prior to my trouble, they could not reasonably be held responsible for any damage, trouble that I experienced. So even if I had major damage to my vehicle resulting from pumping gas at the location, Sam's would not have been held responsible because they had no prior knowledge of a problem.
I ask the WCS Case Manager, Nicki Gibson, if I could speak with someone at corporate to have this resolved outside of the Walmart Claims Services. She said she would pass on my request and if someone deemed it necessary, they would call me back. Bottom line, the extent of Sam's/Walmart interest in their customer is how much they can make off of them. Will not be using Sams for gas any longer and seriously considering cutting them off entirely as one of shopping stops.
Always a good buy, fruits are fresh and quality meats, check out is usually timely I leave smiling, staff is friendly and courteous

Answer: Call the local store speak to Store Manager who will identify the problem
