The scent did not smell anything like the original perfume. Could not speak to someone directly about returning the purchase. Even though I included the persons information they would not process the return because HE was not the one emailing and asking the questions about the return. The person returning the email was seemed rude. Never again will I purchase from this company. It is not worth the BS you go through with the WRONG fragrance.
Do yourself a favor... save the disappointment and don't buy their product.
It is not that it doesn't resemble the claimed fragrance. It doesn't smell of anything but alcohol. Probably the only online product I have ever seen that can't be returned...

I was a little worried about ordering a re-creation of a perfume I loved 30 years ago. All the worry vanished when I opened the box, saw the pretty bottle and read the inscription. Then it was joy. I sprayed the perfume on a tissue and waited. It was nice, pretty, not quite what I remembered. In the morning I sprayed it on my wrist and immediately the fragrance burst to life. I am very happy with the re-creation. Brought back fun memories I look forward to ordering, again. Sincerely, A satisfied customer.
The "Desert Flower" fragrance was so like the original. It brought happy memories of me using it in high school. And also of buying it in the gift package for my grandmother. It was her favorite also. That was almost 50 years ago. Thank you for making this special for me. Vicki

My mother is a retired laboratory technician, and loves the idea that chemists were able to recreate her favorite perfume. This was the perfect gift for her -- on multiple levels. I ordered and paid for a bottle of cologne 1/22/2019. It's 1/30/2019 and I have not received anything but two sitejabber survey asking for feedback. It's pretty dumb to ask for feedback before the customer receives the product.
I payed good money to have a reproduction of my wife's favourite discontinued dolce gabbana perfume made. I then payed nearly as much to have it shipped to Australia via a third party carrier. When it arrived it was absolutely nothing like the original. She has a small amount of the original left to compare it to. And when I say nothing I mean nothing. Not even close. The resolution offered to me? To pay the freight to have a sample testing kit sent to me. Then provide a small sample of the original perfume and pay the freight costs back to them. Then I pay freight to have new bottle shipped back to me. This is all international freight mind you so add all this up and I could have bought an original overpriced bottle of genuine Dolce Gabbana. No full or partial refund offered. The scent they did produce is so bad my wife won't even use it. So my advice is don't use them. They are useless and cannot do what they claim to be able to

I ordered Princess Borghese's "Fiamma", a favorite scent of mine from the 70's. Unfortunately the cologne was nothing like "Fiamma" and I was very disappointed. As I am sure that this can happen, I let them know that there was another scent from my youth that I would love to have. They didn't only say they would try to recreate it, but they were very accommodating. That tells me that they value customer service!
I ordered Aeropostale Benton from them for my son in law. I received it yesterday and it smelled nothing like it. I contacted their customer service and was basically told I am out of luck and they can't do anything for me. So... I am mad and out of 70 Dollars. I do not recommend this company!
They were amazing to work with. When I made a mistake on identifying the original perfume I wanted recreated and the perfume they sent me reflected that, they helped me fix it right away and it was spot on.
I will use them again and again and recommend their service to anyone who needs a scent recreated!
I have purchased a "signature scent" for my daughter for several years(something new they created for me from a description) this year I was late and they rushed me my order in time for Christmas... unfortunately something went wrong and the scent was awful. I contacted them and requested a return. They said don't bother to return, we will send you a replacement... free of charge... and if it isn't to your liking we will send another. No questions asked, easy as pie. This isn't my first time ordering and this is the 1st time it wasn't perfect. I just received my new bottle, and no surprise it was perfect. I feel stupid for spending $60 plus shipping and hoping this company could actually make something like Thymes Filigree. The result is horrid and smells nothing like the original. I mean, it's unwearable. I don't know if they have Thymes Filigree mixed up with another scent, but it's so bad and so far off from the original that I have no interest in their tweaking it to try again. I'm sure they're nice people, but I feel like I fell for a scam and totally wasted $60. Would absolutely not recommend for Thymes Filigree.
I ordered Candies by Liz Clairborne from Scentmatchers. The order process was extremely easy, and the amount of scents they have is almost endless. When I sent an email to them about a question I had, they responded very quickly. While my scent wasn't quite how I remembered it, they gave me a few different options. 10/10 I would and will order from them again!

The Gucci Nobile that I wore has been discontinued for years. I had looked on Ebay for a replacement bottle only to be shocked by the $400 price. I came across your site and thought I'd give it a try. The product that I received was so close to the Nobile that I couldn't tell a difference. Thank you for the wonderful job you did! I'm a repeat customer, now purchasing a fragrance that was discontinued a while ago for my new wife. The first time I ordered your "Tigress" perfume version. I was not happy because it didn't smell or look like the original. However, it was a nice fragrance so I used it. After it was just about gone I decided to give it another try. Well, this time I was so thrilled! It was the Tigress I remembered! I was able to compare the two scents and there were subtle differences. The new Tigress has the same deep bass note that was missing the first time and the same amber color like the original. I love love love it. My husband does too! Thank you so much. You're magicians! I recommend Scentmatchers to everyone who admires my perfume!

I ordered from them and the scent was not even similar at all to what I wanted. It smelled so disgusting that I had to throw it away. I offered to ship it back to them, but apparently even they could not handle the stink they put together. They tried to get me to keep it and kept giving me some bull about their money and time they put into it and about some charity crap. They kept this up for awhile back and forth thru emails and never said sorry or anything, just kept asking me to feel bad for them. I am the one who got ripped off, feel bad for me, not yourselves. You should feel like shameful scumbags, cause you are. I was so excited waiting for my perfume and cannot believe what I went through after. I requested a full refund numerous times, I told them I would ship back the bottle of stink. But they kept insisting I keep it and they would give me a partial refund then "donate" the rest of my refund to charity. It is all a BIG PATHETIC SCAM. Please BEWARE.
The perfume came this afternoon. I have to say that the fragrance is exactly how I remember it. So awesome that I can wear it again. Also nice to be able to order it on line. It was my husbands favoriate fragrance, on me. He passed away on June 19,2019. That's why I renamed it "Bittersweet". It brings back many fond memories. Thank-you!
I ordered Yves St Laurent Belle D'Opium, and the first sample that arrived smelled horrible, and nothing like the original. They then asked for a sample, so I sent the last bit of my last bottle to them. They sent me another small unmarked bottle (not even the one I originally ordered), and the scent was still nothing like the original I sent them. They did not deliver on the product and yet refuse to refund me the money I paid. Do not waste your money!

Business History
Shortly after Scentcrafters formed, Adam and Angela also started their life together as husband and wife. Literally a couple months after that, Angela found out she was pregnant with their first child. At that time Scentmatchers was also created. Needless to say, it was a busy period for the Schultz's!
Scentmatchers started after Scentcrafters' customers repeatedly asked if we could also provide a service to bring discontinued fragrances back to life. After enough people asked us this, we eventually woke up to the idea that, "Hey, we should give people what they want."
In 2013 we took the next step as a company and hired our first employees. We now have over 28 years of combined experience producing discontinued fragrances, and to date we have sold over 100,000 individual bottles of discontinued fragrances.
In 2014 we decided to increase our commitment to customer service and we hired our first full time Customer Service Manager, Pravin. We pride ourselves on providing quick and prompt customer service as repeat business becomes the cornerstone of our company.
In June of 2017 we increased the amount of perfume oil we used in fragrances by 50%, which we feel increases the quality of our product by it more potent and longer lasting.
In 2018 we created this new streamlined website on the Shopify platform that we are very excited about. We also added 2 more full time employees as the business continues to grow.
Despite some initial growing pains, we are now considered one of the foremost experts in creating discontinued perfume and cologne. We look forward to recreating your memories as you become part of our story.
