Your prices are already above what is normally charged at the grocery stores. I've always allowed this because of the free delivery and quality of the food. However, now you're going to charge me $19.95 for delivery... you can keep your product too!

We've been customers with them for over 20 years and this was the first time I felt really cheated by the products we chose. Specifically, the vanilla sundae cones. The cones themselves are completely flimsy and I realized they don't have that same layer of chocolate holding it together anymore. It's just the cone but it's hard to hold up and gets soggy so quickly. What happened to the quality it use to have? Since the switch to Yelloh, it seems like the quality has taken a dip on some products and it makes me question whether we should keep on ordering the way we do. It's sad because they've been a staple in my household for so long.

Since the sellout, the quality of the products has greatly declined and there is no way to contact anyone for customer service, they have fired everyone and closed the call center,no email or chat support either.
I am mostly concerned about safety of the food. We had very large, sharp splinters on the sticks of the fudge bars in two different orders, very dangerous!
There were foreign objects ( choking hazards) in the California Blend Vegetables and the last order of vanilla ice cream bars had opened and smashed product inside.

I’m very concerned about children getting these splinters or foreign objects, it could be very dangerous or fatal!
I have been a customer of Schwans for most of my life but since the company became Yellow it has become a company I will no longer buy from. The prices were high before and now are ridiculous. The quality has gone down. More dough less meat on the breaded fish,chicken, and Chinese food. It is sad for me to lose Schwans as I live in a rural community and Schwans was always a nice treat.

Was just told by my delivery driver that in TWO weeks service will stop! Depots are closing in the southern region and 750 people will be jobless. A company that really cares about employees or customers? Nope! Its about money. So sad.
Tried what I thought was going to be a delicious apple pie like I remembered. Boy! Was that a bad idea. It appeared smaller and top crust didn't look appetizing (more like cardboard). Recommended heating temperature too low was the first clue. Crust texture was more like cardboard just like it looked. Tasted about how one would think cardboard might taste! Then, the apples…nothing like the original pies in taste or texture! Bland, near tasteless. Normally, one had to force oneself not to eat the whole thing when piping hot. Now, it was so easy to step away and leave it. Just a sad ending to what should have been the enjoyment of a great dessert. And, to ad insult to injury, the price was extremely high for a less than third rate dessert.
Threw my food at me which was nothing I would have ever ordered then took off very rude used them for years never again will throw out I guess wait times on phone hours guess you need more people to help
After receiving an email today re: change of hours for home delivery in the Columbus Ohio area, I attempted to reply with the following, but was then informed they no longer read customer email. Here is my response.
Just so we're clear…. Even when we schedule a 4:00 delivery, it is Always delivered before noon… and since we weren't home at that time, OR expecting a delivery, $90. Worth of food was left on our front porch in the heat - in a Regular Plastic Bag. Needless to say, we had thawed food and 4 cartons of melted ice cream on our porch when we got home!
Do not presume to clarify anything for me. Your online ordering, while convenient, is incomplete and all but Guarantees a delivery time.
Your service is woefully less than you lead us to believe and the product - while good - is not worth all the waste and scheduling hassle!

Out of my last delivery I'm 0/2. I ordered the chicken fajita sheet pan meal and it was super hot. I ate the chicken chili today and have had a stomach ache from it ever since. I've been a pretty long time customer and am disappointed that their food is not as good as it used to be. Also they use genetically modified ingredients. I'm done ordering their meals.

Do yourself a favor and go to a grocery store. They don't honor coupons, overcharge you, then arbitrarily charge you delivery fees etc... Only to follow these unethical business practices up, with equally bad misrepresentation of what they call customer service.
This home delivery service charges high prices for horrible food products. You can buy similar items at the grocery store for a third of the price.The beef is dark red in color and of questionable quality.The food is all frozen and tasteless.The mini-pot roasts are not fit to be served to canines. Steer clear!
My chicken cor Don blue boxes were obviously wet at some point the boxes were soggy and had Ice all over.I was also charged a delivery fee when I made an order because he was in the neighborhood already. I didn't call or ask for service today he just popped in so why was I changed a fee? Customer service would rather loose a long-term customer than refund that fee.I will take my hard earned money elsewhere

I've been with Schwan's for years. Many changes over the years. The new system of ordering online to be delivered sucks. I've tried twice more to pre-order. The driver gets here and doesn't have my order. I even had a confirmation number. So I didn't order for a couple of weeks. Tried again to get some peppermint ice cream,available once a year. Made online order, for rewards applied schedule for Monday. The driver shows up today, can't give me my rewards and wants full payment, no rewards. Nope. I will wait until Monday when they SAY they are coming back. We will see. I may be done with Schwan's. Very expensive headache.
Horrible company to try to get hired on at! Make u spend hours of your own time doing interviews and a 10 hour day ride along that is not paid. Everyone leads you on like your going to get the job then a week later they email you saying they are going to go another route. Just a very bad group of managers in my opinion would not recommend This unless you enjoy giving away your time for nothing.
I agree with all other reviewers that Schwan's has very unreliable delivery dates and very poor customer service. I received a text yesterday that my order would be delivered within 60 minutes. Never arrived. When I contacted customer service I was given my choice of delivery dates a few days later. Not only that, I was given a delivery confirmation of one item of January 20 that has now been moved out to February. They just seem to find lying to customers an acceptable way to conduct business. I've canceled all of my pending orders and will no longer order from them. This doesn't seem to concern them at all. Schwan's is a joke! You're better off scheduling a trip to the grocery store. That's far more reliable than these clowns.

Food is great, delivery drivers are awesome, but your customer service supervisors are the absolute worst!
For more than two months I have been engaged in conversations with at least two different customer service supervisors attempt to resolve an issue; I have been met with incompetence and/or false promises each time. As a matter of fact, I am still waiting for the promised email / call back from the phone conversation on Monday, 7 February 2022@ 2:50 pm.
As a result of the utter incompetence of your customer service supervisors, Schwan's Home Delivery will be losing at least $2,000 in annual revenue from the members of this family! That seems a rather high price to pay for something that should have been so very simple to rectify... Y'all need to do better!

I am so very disillusioned with the Schwan's Home Service in northern Virginia. Actually - with the entire Schwan's experience. Having to place an order minimally 10 days prior to delivery means I have to know just what I need to buy well before I need it. That said, their products are not "all that" to entice me to pay their premium prices for items I can easily purchase at our local grocery store as soon as I know I need them. Then there's the delivery. I admit I don't order often - but EVERY time I've placed an order with a delivery date and time window - the delivery has not been made during either that window, and once didn't even hit the day. I've asked for a call prior to delivery - no call. Shall we talk about their Rewards system? Well - IF you don't use accumulated awards (which amounts to pennies on a purchase) within a limited time - the rewards disappear. Schwan's can't even manage to e-track/maintain those! I am done-done with Schwan's.
If you like being told your order will be delivered the next day but then it keeps getting cancelled and rescheduled weeks, months out - then this is your company. And then calling CS and being essentially called a liar when you have proof of the day your delivery was promised to you ( email and a text), then this is your company. This is not a new problem due to covid - this has been going on since before the pandemic hit. Enough. Cancelled my order - never again. I've given them way too many chances. And their prices are exorbitant for sub par frozen food.

We had been customers for about 40 years. After the new owners started running the show, our delivery person kept changing. Our last two orders were unilaterally delayed, the second one twice. We dropped this service.
My mother in law really likes them but they hardly ever show up even thou she usually spend well over a hundred dollars. Their service is really terrible. She will sit home all day just waiting for them on the day they are suppose to show up and they don't come. So sad.
I did not order anything ahead of time but the Schwan's driver came to my house anyway so I bought a package of shrimp & broccoli alfredo skillet meal which I had bought in the past and I think it is very good. What I do not like and don't understand is why I'm charged $3.99 delivery fee! I didn't tell the driver to come to my house and the product was already on his truck so he didn't go out of his way to deliver it to me. I don't think I'll order anything from Schwan's again.

Know ahead of time you will be charged delivery fee even if you didn't tell them to come to your house and you bought a product off their truck. It cost me $3.99 for the driver to come to my door, go back to his truck to get my product, and then leave!! Rip Off!!!
I have to say my delivery person is excellent and I wouldn't switch to anyone else unless I had to - I've always had great customer service with the delivery people.
I am extremely disappointed by the recipe change for their vanilla ice-cream however. Ever since it changed to "Yellow", I don't think it is as good - it is not as creamy and really tastes like other cheaper ice-creams. The other flavored ice-creams still seem okay and I will continue to order. I haven't noticed a change to my other regular foods either. Please bring back the classic vanilla ice-cream as I will not likely continue to purchase this unless it changes. And if it does change, please alert customers who are like me and are not pleased so we can start to get the ice-cream we so looked forward to. My review for qualify only applies to the vanilla ice-cream.

I don't care for white chicken and turkey meat, yet that is mostly all they offer even in the Chinese cuisines. I know for a fact that Asians prefer dark meat because the US exports dark meat to Asian countries. Also, they used to have that low fat vegetarian pizza and stopped selling it. The chicken enchilada had hardly any chicken in it. I stopped ordering it.
I am super Happy with Schwan's food and delivery. I can't say as much about their Customer Service. They raised their prices a couple months ago without anything being said to the loyal customers. I understand everything costs everyone more but don't try to sneak something by us. There have been a few other issues I have tried to resolve through Customer Service unsuccessfully when asked for a Supervisor the response is I can have one call you in 2-3 days. I will say at-least they speak English and I believe they are here in the USA.
