One day after posting the original review, the company has finally resolved the issue to my satisfaction! As a result, I have updated the rating from two stars to four stars; hopefully, there will be no further issues with customer service, thereby causing me to edit this again.
It is t the first time but it's been awhile I thought I'd try the pecan praline cones again. The cones were so tough and chew one had to tear them to get them apart.no joke worst come of all times and left a funny after taste in the mouth. Very disappointed for a $19 box of ice cream comes.would never purchase again horrible.
My husband was able to download their app on his laptop and order specific items in advance. This makes it so easy to shop and save without leaving home. It's especially convenient for my elderly relative wanting some groceries and not wanting to go out. Shwan's employees/drivers are very nice and helpful. Give them a try as I'm sure you won't be disappointed!

Everything I ordered and so far eaten is outstanding! Chicken Kiev tonight was GREAT! My lady commented it's the best she ever had. Burgers outstanding! Hash brown same. Web site worked flawlessly and delivery was perfect!
Seeing all the reviews I have to say that Schwan's has pretty good food. I have never been disappointed with them. If you forgot to put your order in or just didn't order anything for the week they will show up at your door asking if you would like anything. To me I think that's pretty awesome. I always end up buying something. The customer service is great and not sure why they have bad reviews. Completely satisfied. Amazing company. Especially having two kids it's convenient.
I have been trying for a month to get one particular order delivered. I have been rescheduled 3 times and then received a notice that everything in the order was out of stock. It isn't worth the hassle of contacting customer service because they will try to reschedule a 4th attempt. Don't bother with this company

Not liking no more delivery every 2 weeks with the guy we like for over 10 years, that just found out he's no longer working for them! One day notice. Now we have to order on line and use a card, I dont use a card I write a check. I know old school but no liking people losing there jobs when the people in our area like the same people and schedule. They need to ask the people that buy off of them before getting rid of people and change. We work and he always delivers nad puts it where its to be. We will not have that anymore! Not sure if I will really order to much anymore, this is so disappointing on a company that has been around for so many years and letting it go to hell just like everyone else since 2020! People need to just keep it going and not changing everyone's lives! OHIO
This company strives on excellence and customer satisfaction. If you look at the negative reviews and the dates, you will find this was at the start of the pandemic crisis. Everyone should realize how busy Schwans is at this time and show a little more kindness. These wonderful people are out there helping you and risking their own lives. If you don't like it. Go shop yourself!
Been a loyal customer for twenty years and have still ordered when paying delivery fee or when gas fee went up twice but went to make order at new residence just as they were switching over to Yellow! Completely and found out they are tacking on a $9.99 service fee for no good reason nor did they warn their customers. I only get a couple things a couple times a month and after paying other fees there's no way I'm sticking around to pay this crazy fee. Enjoyed chicken strips but everything else has been replaced with cheaper quality anyways. I'll go back to grocery store for my chicken! Wouldn't advise ordering
Did I really 10.5 hours for food that never showed up. The check out procedure itself will have you puling your hair out. Thank God they don't charge until delivery. Now I am guessing b/c they know they're trash
There are many one star reviews for this company and I think some might have just gotten them on their bad days where they're either really busy or just simply don't have the items in stock right then. I've recently ordered from them twice and so far they're doing a great job. Food was good, came on time and service was excellent; very friendly driver and wore his PPE while handling our food. I suggest giving this company some grace; they're only human and doing the best they can especially during this COVID-19 pandemic. So if you're looking for something new and wanna try this out, I say do it! Will keep this company in mind whenever I need groceries delivered. Keep it up guys! :)
I placed an order and had it 2 days later, one item out of stock ok i am cool with that the other item was forgotten by the driver. Called customer service no help it will be on your next delivery. It is a call center have no answers no numbers called schwan's corporate after looking up number. Schwans home delivery is its own private company call their number 2 rings hangs up. Schwans wants your money but doesn't want to deliver customer service this was my first time ordering in along time not happy. May have to take to social media to get a response only way ti wake them up.
I have been a customer of Schwan's in pretty much every state that we have lived in. Now since Schwan's has changed it just isn't worth it anymore. The items have doubled in price and they got rid of the Rewards Program which was very much worth ordering from Schwan's. Especially for us seniors on a fixed income! The new ordering system is a crock of crap! Just cannot afford to order from Schwan's anymore.
For years I have been a loyal Schwanns customer as has my mother. The only chicken we would buy were Schwanns pre packaged, already trimmed healthy chicken breasts which accounted for probably at least 50 percent of my family's diet. Since they have been discontinued (WHY?), the "replacement breasts" are large, extremely fatty pieces of meat that are just poor quality all around. I would greatly appreciate if you would bring the old breasts back-otherwise you have definitely lost me and several others as customers.
The company changed ownership and now the name. Service was and is their business but I guess they forgot about that. Was overcharged and customer service could not figure it out even after 20 minutes. Nordstrom prices with Kmart Service
Our house was spending approx $700-1000 Dollars a month with this company, every month. We had a $40.00 dollar disagreement over a coupon, they would not budge on this coupon on a very large order. I said if they didn't honor it, we would find another service, the Support Rep said that's ok and we no longer use them. Imagine our loyal driver's surprise when they lost a customer paying 8-12K/Year every year over $40.00. So not only did they treat us poorly, they allowed a driver to lose significant steady revenue. I feel bad for the driver, she is a nice lady.
I've been a Schwan's customer for almost 40 years. But I've noticed during the last couple of years the quality and Ice cream selection has been going down hill. I remember a time when Schwan's was known for some of the best ice cream with a selection that was unlike anyone else. Now with a couple of selection and more than once the ice cream was gritty because it had thawed at one point and was re frozen. I call the customer support line and they blew me off so after 40 years it's time to go our separate ways. This is too bad, I feel that the company has gone cheep and there quality and selection has suffered.
I was a very satisfied customer of Schwan's from 2018 to 2022. That's when I received an email notifying me of the removal of all customer courtesies, and bonus points, plus, the company would be changing its name to Yelloh. It's Aug. 2023 and there's no trace of a new corporate name.
No longer would customers be able to get free shipping if a certain dollar amount per order was reached, nor any points accumulated with frequent ordering be available. All gone. I found that a number of my favorite products were hardly available, and if back in stock, other favorites were not. The prices are not competitive nor is there any reason to look forward to sale notices. $2 off products I have no interest in will not have me order them. Calling customer service is a time waster. None of the reps I've spoken with during 2023 have any more knowledge about products, restock dates, etc. than I do
I've been buying from Schwans for 10 years, lately they have completely lost their way. It has taken me over a month to get my UPS delivery from them, and still have not received it. What a joke, as one of the other people said, they charge your credit card and let the order sit in their freezer. Time for a new person to be in charge, whoever is running that company is an idiot.
When the pandemic hit, I began looking for grocery delivery services that accept EBT as payment and found these guys. I have been nothing but happy with them. Once I got charged for an item I did order but was out of stock so I didn't get it. One quick call to customer service and it was taken care of. They offered to come back to my house the next day just to deliver the item, or give me a credit. No hassle at all. The food is generally good, especially the pizzas! I have two tiny 'complaints' - I wish they could give a better idea of the delivery window because right now it's basically an eight hour window. I know it's hard to narrow it down, esp right now so its not a huge deal. My other complaint is more a suggestion - I wish they carried more bread - hot dog and hamburger buns, maybe more type of sandwich bread. But I understand they can only stock so many items at a time.
I've been dealing with them for a couple of years. Happy with food quality and portions. Service rep was outstanding. Then, incentives dropped from 5% to 1%. Then, without notice, my delivery charges went from zero to $9.99 for the same amount of items. No notice of change in terms of service was given. Today, there are other alternatives. Changing their name to "Yelloh" will not resolve their less-than-stellar performance.

Used to use this service a few years ago, but I've been trying to reset my password for at least the last 5 years or so. I gave up back then but tried again tonight. Shock surprise there is nothing in my email box, not even the spam filter caught anything from Schwans. Then, I even tried to make a new account because I saw some 50% off ad for new customers, but nope, nothing from Schwans showing up in that email account either. Is this company a joke or what? How are they even in business if they never email their customers? Beats the fu$@ out of me!
I have happily been purchasing from Schwan's at least 14 years steadily... great service and good food. First I'll say my recent experience was partly due to the confusion over the fuel charge for not preordering. I knew I would be charged so when my bill was ridiculous, I thought Schwan's had lost their mind considering the very low cost of fuel. I was offered no receipt so I assumed as in the pass if not offered one it was in the bag but no. My items were in the bag but so were extra items. Obviously I had been charged for them. On a personal note, I have found their drivers polite and respectful but not this particular man. He had been smug and condescending from the first moment. I ignored it as a clash of personalities. I'm sorry I was ever so higher minded. I'm also sorry for the Schwan's men who do great work when this man is actually a cherry checked con.
I immensely enjoy this service. It is a luxury, and it's the next best thing to buying right from the farmer. Better quality through better ingredients, and the service is world class. BUT, I'm not a cheapo, and I'm not one of those people who is eagerly waiting to be offended. Which makes me unique. I'd rather pay more for something, and get the service and quality.
I made ONE purchase through Schwan's for a product I could no longer find in the grocery stores. What I bought was okay but the intrusiveness of the delivery person/sales person was annoying as hell. He tried to pressure me during delivery to make additional purchases but I said if I was interested in doing business again I'd contact them. Within a week, I also received a phone call and txt message again pressuring me to buy. While the food was good enough to buy again, I will NOT deal with the company again. I'll bet this delivery person was a used car or insurance salesman in a previous life.
As a long customer of Schwan food there has been a couple recent disappointments.
My deliveries are always every other week but just last week I waited all day with no delivery
I called Schwan and was told my delivery was put off for a couple wks. There was no call indicating this and I would not have known unless I called. There was no explanation or feed back from the company after 5 days.
This has been terribly disappointing as a long time customer.
Sorry Schwan but we are parting ways.

Food is ok. Purchased a gift for my brother and his family for Xmas. It's January 18th and they still don't have it. The try to claims UPS picked up order but can not produce any tracking numbers. And then claim they can't cancel the order. Thieves and Liars. Better to order from Omaha Steaks
