One day after posting the original review, the company has finally resolved the issue to my satisfaction! As a result, I have updated the rating from two stars to four stars; hopefully, there will be no further issues with customer service, thereby causing me to edit this again.
It is t the first time but it's been awhile I thought I'd try the pecan praline cones again. The cones were so tough and chew one had to tear them to get them apart.no joke worst come of all times and left a funny after taste in the mouth. Very disappointed for a $19 box of ice cream comes.would never purchase again horrible.
I ordered from here two times I told the guy the first time to not come unless I order because they will come every week and bang on your door when he comes to more times after I already tell him not to so I call and complain then he comes again after that I've called and complained twice he comes early in the morning banging on my door waking me and both of my kids up I told them to cancel me off I will never order from again because these people obviously work off commission and they stalk the $#*! out of you

I just wanted to clear a little bit of air about how Schwan's is doing things nowadays. A lot of the new news and changes were sent to customers emails. Delivery options are still available every two weeks. You do not have to pre-order,
If you do, the only reason for a debit or credit card while ordering, is to save the order, you will not be charged until the driver is at the door. They are implementing a text first, digital door knock. This text is automated and goes out in the morning to ask if you would like service that day. They're trying to help battle the cost of the economy by keeping the drivers off the road as much as possible. Especially with the cost of fuel, changing out tires and oil. And giving more control to the customer as to whenever they would like to be seen. This also allows the drivers to be home in a decent time to be with their families. Schwan's has also downsized the company where needed, to furthermore bring prices back down. Some drivers are just on a different route now or different days. I'm not a fan of sales, but they really are a decent company. They care about their people and their customers and do the best that they can with it. They deliver a quality product with 100% guarantee, even if you do not like the taste of something!
Took money from my account that they were told NOT to and now I still have not gotten a refund. Continue to give me the run around! I will NEVER shop with this company again!

B. The new owner's used the wonderful Schwan's name in attempt to retain business.
1. Took our delivery truck away using COVID as an excuse forcing us to order on-line using UPS for delivery.
2. Forced us to pay for delivery.
3. Took away Reward credits.
4. Initially shipped in Styrofoam and sufficient dry ice which seemed acceptable. Now some type of Styrofoam substitute and insufficient amount of dry ice. Numerous orders melted/thawed. Not to mention UPS absolute worst delivery method.
5. And now the quality of the product has gone downhill. REALLY, after all these years of success you think you can change and retain your customers.

I just sent Schwan's an email saying what I will say here tonight. I placed an order a month ago and my delivery date FINALLY come due, it was to be delivered tomorrow evening. Because I don't get home from work until after 7pm, I took the day off from work so I would be here and not miss the delivery. I realized I forgot to add our favorite pie, added that to my order and it changed my delivery date to ANOTHER MONTH off at Dec. 16th. If that order is not delivered tomorrow as it was set to be, I will never place another order again, nor will anyone I know! This is absolutely ridiculous. That will put my order being delivered 2 months after I placed it because I hand the nerve to want to add something to my order. I AM DONE!
Two times within 6 months I have received my SCHWANS order via UPS over 3 days late.
This means my PERISHABLE BOX is 30 pounds of mush. Cannot email these fools so I call and get put on HOLD FOR 20 MINUTES. Finally at the recordings bidding I leave a DETAILED MESSAGE with their promise to return my call WHAT A JOKE! $253 order and no one gives a $#*!! Calling my credit card company today and filing a dispute.

I'm done with Schwan's after 20 years. They've increased prices beyond ridiculous, lowered quantity, and now have limited deliveries…or for me, didn't bother to come with my order at all…. UPDATE. The fellow FINALLY showed up…1 1/2 hours PAST my 3-6pm delivery window. Never called, never apologized. Just said … I was really busy. Well so am I. A little courtesy please after spending $128.00 of which you get a commission. I used to get 6 personal pepperoni pizza's 11.99 Now they want $7.49 FOR 2? The Pot Roast was $26.99 NOW ITS $39.99 and garlic bread was 9.99 now $13. This LONG TIME customer is DONE. Here are photos I of the condition of some of my delivery, which I took it out of the bag after he had gone. The Pot Roast box was unfrozen and cardboard soggy, and the soup container RIM seal WAS broken and pieces of the lid rim WAS inside the soup…. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE For spending $101.13 for 6 items. I'm Still waiting for Schwan's my Receipt to come, but my Bank notified me of the charge to my account

I spent 3.5 years of my life working for these psychopaths. They don't give a damn about about anything except there trucks being on the road 11-14 hours a day. All trucks have 150-300k miles and break down a lot. I did everything I could on my route to bring in sales, my route averaged about $700 a day, all they did was complain. Every day was the same old rhetoric, literally all they talked about was work minimum of 10 hours a day, stay out until 8, get upsells, that's literally every meeting every day for 3.5 years, and those meetings were an hour before your start time which was unpaid time to be at work. Managers are a joke, they have no clue what it takes to run a route, complete psychopaths who had no business being in a position of management. You barely had time to get your route done and forget having a lunch break. I almost got killed twice, I'm not kidding, I had two different trucks break down, both had issues the home office knew about but refused to fix, in one truck the transmission failed after slipping for over a year, I was going uphill and the truck rolled backwards, in the second truck the fuel pump was acting up, it died on the interstate, I lost power steering and in trying to get onto the shoulder was almost hit by a semi. Please don't buy food from these people. A lot more happened in the 3 years I was there but these major issues led to me quitting.
This review is being made so that no one tries to order for Christmas presents through Schwan's! I grew up with Schwan's and my mom still uses a rural route Schwan's truck. So this makes me very unhappy! I placed an order, or I thought I had, with a customer service on the phone. She said she would have a Schwan's truck deliver the order that I had placed for a Christmas present, to be delivered to my brother's house. I let my brother's wife know that it would be delivered on a certain day at a certain time per customer service. However it was not delivered, so for the next several hours I called Schwan's and had a run around with the first person I spoke to. I hung up and tried again. This time the person says that I have no order. I have an order number though. She said it was supposed to go UPS but was not placed anywhere but in limbo by the original customer service person. So now my brother and family do not have the Christmas present that I placed two weeks in advance. I canceled everything with them. I had also placed a small order to be delivered to my home. I was charged for Freight, and should not even have been charged for Freight since this was my first order. I am still working on getting the freight charges reversed. I will never recommend Schwan's to anyone.

My complaint is with Schwann Company in general; Not specifically the Tualatin location.
My advice to others: Dont ever sign up with this scum outfit. They will spam you like crazy. Closed account years ago. Wrote them repeatedly to stop emailing me junk mail, and they RAMPED IT UP!
Once you start with these people they will never stop hounding you with their offers of big discounts for their overpriced -- and to my experience, freezer burned old foods and ice cream.
Do not give them your phone number (and they will try to get it from you) or they will continue spamming you there.

I have been a Schwan's customer for years. The service is great and Justin is Awesome! All products I ordered have been very, very good! I have no complaints!
Put order in 4/2 for delivery 4/15. No groceries. Called 3 x's w/ 45 minute wait time. By 4/22/2020, they said they lost the order (even though they had order number pending). Why could I see it but they couldn't. Then they told me to cancel the order and re-order. I did that. (then you get at the end of the line again). Supposed to be delivered today. Get email last night my credit card didn't go through but alas, it DID hit my card for $266.25. Now I have another 45 minute wait time to call these jerks.

I bought Schwans on a regular basis for 8 years. I spent anywhere from $100.00 to $300.00 every other week.
Steven, did an excellent job. They terminated him and shut the "hub" down.
My first delivery with the new guys was terrible! EVERYTHING and I mean EVERYTHING was thawed. I called immediately to inform them. I spoke with a young guy named, Jay. He said he'd let his "team" know and correct it. While speaking with him he said he received permission to credit the order. I asked if he wanted me to take pictures. He said no. I asked if the guys would come back and take the order back. He said no. He did state that it would take a week for my card to show credit. A week later it still didn't show credit. I called Schwans again and spoke to, Mary. She gave me the same song and dance, Jay did. I had told you them both if I didn't receive my credit I would be contacting the BBB and the Attorney General. I now have open cases with both agencies.
I will NEVER, EVER spend money on Schwans EVER again!
They are liars and thieves? Big time liars.

After being a dedicated Schwanns customer for at least the last 25 years, I have ordered for myself as a loyal customer I have ordered for family members out of state with out any complications. I placed an order almost
Two weeks ago it was supposed to be delivered on November 3rd, to my mom who just had knee surgery. I called the 1-800 number she confirmed it was supposed to be delivered on that day. I made arrangements once again for it to be delivered for the next day which was yesterday, it never came again, This is something nice I could do for a family member far away who is in recovery and twice she has been left waiting with out her care package. I felt divestated and hopeless that this effort to do something nice and caring for a sick family member has now turned into such a frustration for me. Schwanns if you don't have a delivery driver or can't get the ordered supplies delivered don't take my order and send me a confirmation e/mail. At least send an email letting me know so I can take my business else where instead of leaving her waiting on order that appears is not coming. I am so disappointed in the lack of delivering my order that I don't feeli ever want to use your serviced again. You left an elderly woman out of knee surgery waiting on her order twice that never came. You used to take care of us but for some reason you have dropped the ball on this one. You should do better. This is unacceptable! I only. Chose one star because I had to click something in that field you don't even deserve one star on this experience you should have a sad face up there that would be more accurate.
I remember as a child how delighted I was when we got our delivery from Schwan. However I recently placed an order through their online store and all I can say is don't waste your time. Order was placed Oct. 30 for delivery Nov 7 between 2 and 5. Waiting all afternoon for delivery no one showed up no communication from company, no way to see on app where or when they are coming. Called the 800 #, shortly after delivery window and was told sorry for inconvenience but the truck hasn't moved all day, we can reschedule for the 12th of Nov. Between 5 and 8 pm. Waited for window to pass on the 12th, still no delivery, another phone call another apology driver is running late but will still deliver. When I went to bed at 11 pm still no delivery nor by 11:00 am the next morning. One more phone call with more apologies and a new delivery date of the 14th of Nov. Which I declined. Canceled my order and informed the supervisor that I would never order from them again. Between the waiting for delivery and on extended phone calls, hold time included, I wasted about 7 hours for products not recieved and sorry about the inconvenience from the company but no action on their part to resolve the situation other than me waiting through another delivery window with no guarantee of receiving anything other than more wasted time.
Schwan's product quality has really declined. I would always purchase my regular ice cream treats and then ask my friendly driver what was new... I typically spent close to $75 each time he stopped. On my last delivery my sundae cones were stale, the fudge bars were flat (melted and refroze) and the cod the driver recommended made my guests sick after they ate it. I contacted consumer affairs because their products are Guaranteed and Schwan's wants to hear from you... The Truth is, they Don't wanna hear from You if you have a problem. I contacted them almost daily via email and calling... They kept telling me someone from consumer affairs would contact me. I finally told a rep that if no one contacted me then they needed to suspend my service (tell the driver Not to stop) well they didn't and he stopped. I explained to him my issues and he offered to replace the items. I told him I didn't want him to do Anything until I heard from Consumer Affairs... He is just the Driver... Well No one Contacted me ever... He stopped one last time and told me he had said something to his boss about it but No One from Schwan's ever contacted me so I stopped my service. I feel bad for my driver... He was a great salesman and very friendly... I'm sorry that his company wouldn't bother to contact one of his reliable customers to address an issue that they "Claim" they care about... I wouldn't recommend Schwan's to anyone...
Ive always heard Schwans was good food and decided to try it after my aunt highly recommended them to me. I placed my first order of beef and brocoli, pork egg rolls and shrimp spring rolls along with an apple pie. It was all amazingly good. Shipping was very fast as I ordered at 2 am on a friday and was told i would get my order on monday and I received it about 12:00 friday, just 10 hours after I ordered. I ate the same food for both lunch and later that evening for dinner. A few hours later as I was getting ready for bed I started feeling really nauseaus and within 20 minutes I was violently throwing up. This went on all night long. The next day came the diaria. It is now sunday night and I am just now starting to feel better. I have no idea if the Schwans caused this but I can never eat it again as this illness will always be connected to Schwans in my mind. Its too bad because I thought it tasted really good... I gave them 4 stars because im just not sure if they caused my illness but it sure was a coincidence.
I have been a customer of Schwan's for over ten years, and I was always satisfied and often delighted, but not any more. Since they began "transitioning to Yelloh", the quality of the food has steadily declined. In my last order, which really will be my last order, the food was terribly disappointing. The beer battered cod had almost no cod in it, and the batter had the flavor and texture of wet cardboard. The Philly style beef was like wet cardboard, too, and it made me so sick that I vomited. The sesame chicken was so sweet that I couldn't eat it, and I like sweet foods. The chicken broccoli and mushrooms with rice was mostly rice, with only two fragments of mushroom and a few tiny bits of broccoli. There was enough chicken, about 6 bites, but it should have had less rice and more mushrooms and broccoli. I have tried to call their customer service, but they play that recorded message that they have too many calls and I will have to wait on hold for an hour. I couldn't find any way to chat, text or email them. I am done with them.

On march 6 i ordered a few meals and ice cream for my disabled mother in florida after a few days on the 8th of march when it was supposed to be delivered no delivery around the 22 her birthday they canceled the order with no reason several attemps made to have it redilvered same thing happened 3 times they canceled order on me and all they would say is i dont know why this happened but we can reorder it and give you $10 off your next order NO THANK YOU i will never recomend or purchase anything from this company again very pour business habits. In fact, I kept tracking the $48. Package and it was going to be Delayed 2 Days! 2 Days Later, NO Delivery! So Again I Had To Track The Delivery I Already Paid For.

Ordered over $90 worth of food from Schwan back in March and since the Covid19 they required you to prepay before delivery! Since my husband and I are both high risk and I am teleworking and my husband was furloughed we decided to order from Schwan's in order to avoid being exposed! When my prepared order arrived my driver informed me the Beer battered cod ($16.99) was not on the truck and said it would be on the next order! After the next delivery date passed I contacted schwans by phone and email that my item didn't get delivered! I was informed it would arrive on the next delivery date(by this time a month had passed) still no delivery so called again and was told it would be expedited... still no delivery so contacted them again and said I wanted a refund and would be contacted in 1-2 days by someone! Over a week went by and still no contact so called again and asked for supervisor! Was very disappointed in the whole customer service as they kept telling me the same things and that was after sitting on hold for sometimes over an hour just to get through. Finally got a refund yesterday back to my card and it was only for $13.48 when I paid $16.98+tax! Never again will I order from Schwans and especially prepay! At a time when people are struggling this company simply doesn't care and will take your money! It took me over 6 weeks to get a refund and it wasn't for the full amount I paid once I did get it! Schwans lost me as a customer!
