The experience has been good however I would certainly like Seeking Alpha to be more global as i find many of my Asian stocks missing in the list. Also wanted some good functionalities like what is my dividend payout in a year which is also missing.

The best analyzes and reviews. Very professional and precise.
I like the in-depth reports and invest based on the recommendations. The possibility of setting up a sample portfolio on the platform and the automatic evaluation of the portfolio is unique.

Of all the services I use for stock research Seeking Alpha often lacks credibility, integrity, and expertise. They are basically a pump and dump operation where hedge funds can hide behind pseudonyms or branded tags to trash a stock. Latest example is XON - even Jim Cramer called them out for poor ethics and judgement so that gives you an idea of how low you have stoop. Would not be surprised if editors end up as targets of SEC investigations. Avoid SA like you would an STD

I had subscribed to Seeking Alpha and found it very helpful with lots of great information, I unsubscribed when I didn't need it anymore, i went for another free trial not realizing it was one per person and ended up being charged for a year, i may have accidentally picked this but my intention was just to get some quick info. Seeking alpha worked with me and helped me resolve my issue and gave me most of my money back, it had been a few months until I reached out to them as I went through my cc company for a dispute and they didn't help me, i am happy to say that seeking alpha worked with me and i greatly appreciate that, i really like their advice on different stocks and especially love reading the readers comments as there are many people who comment who have lots of experience, totally worth the money to get their advice,

I tried a trial version of Seeking Alpha to read a single premium article and didn't cancel in time and got a $239 charge out of my PayPal account. Contacted them once I saw the charge, told them I hadn't logged in or used the service and asked them to reverse the charge. They refused. My impression is that its designed to be a "gotcha" so I guess they got me... Their parents must be proud of them that they're so clever. I dont want anything to do with businesses out to hose customers.
Hi Steve,
Thanks for your note and we apologize for any misunderstanding.
We'd love to gain a better understanding of what had transpired and provide an amicable solution.
You had given your consent for Seeking Alpha to charge your account when you subscribed to the service. The terms and conditions are clearly indicated on the purchase page, and in the welcome and payment reminder Emails we sent you.

I was so excited to stumble on Seeking Alpha. I registered, set up my account, started reading stock stories and then up pops a box telling me that I might be a robot. It asked me to confirm that I wasn't, and then kept endlessly buffering. I can't get back into my account. Worthless and a shame.

If you go to Seeking Alpha you will be bombarded with ads. What's more? They added a modal that asks you to register and that is impossible to block. If you do, the site becomes unusable and the developer purposefully made it extremely hard to get rid of the registration modal event along with the scrolljacking and other assorted tricks they use to make sure you never ever get rid of the registration modal unless you register. That wouldn't be an issue except if you do register, you get bombarded further with incredibly spammy emails, even if all you wanted was to read their articles in peace and give them clicks and ad revenue.
It's so underhanded and unethical in design that I worry whether the site is safe to use!
Seeking Alpha is infuriating and it doesn't help that they're often the first site that comes up when searching for news on business and the stock market. As far as I can tell they're run by a team of grey hat hucksters. Steer clear!

This site has cost me quite a bit of money. Here is a couple of examples. First there is Shopify (SHOP) that was given bad reviews form this site. I've had the stock and sold it and was thinking about getting back in. When I read some of the articles they had I decided not to get back in. It was a little over 200 at the time. So I did not get back in. It went up to 285. Another stock is Veeva Systems (VEEV). They had some negative articles about the stock and it made me think but I decided to stay with the stock. Today it went up almost 20 points. If I would have sold the stock I would have lost out on this move today. My advice is do not listen to what this site is telling you.
Hi Will,
Thanks for your note and we apologize for any misunderstanding.
We strive to ensure all our articles are factually correct but we do not keep any biases towards anybody's opinion. Authors are allowed to publish bullish/bearish articles on stocks that are long/short (respectively), providing they disclose their bias. Active investors with "skin in the game" often have some of the most articulate opinions on a stock, and we encourage them to publish their opinions on Seeking Alpha.
If you find a Seeking Alpha article containing a material factual inaccuracy, you can dispute it using the following steps:
Submit a dispute by emailing disputes@seekingalpha.com. Please be sure to include a link to the article under dispute in addition to the above information.
Identify precisely which section of the article you dispute (quoting the text), and provide supporting evidence of your claim that the article is materially wrong.
(Please do not use the dispute process to disagree with the author. Everyone is entitled to his or her opinion about a stock; that's what makes a market.)
In any case, please always feel free to write to us at subscriptions@seekingalpha.com

I am in my third year of subscribing to The REIT Forum on SA. Given the name, as you would expect, dividends are big part of the focus. It has been surprisingly accurate. I am a long time market investor, but admittedly not an expert. This is not a get rich quick site, in fact, it is pretty much the opposite, steady and conservative, which is why I like it. As the name implies it is all REITs, mReits, with a special emphasis on preferred reits. The chat room is real-time and with savvy investor commentary. The author answers questions rapidly in the chat room. If you are looking for stock tips to get rich quick then you are a fool, Motley or otherwise.

Who post articles to generate new subs replacing lost subs who either blew up or lost their investing accounts following those recommendations, rinse, repeat. * Be warned all borrowing a page from TWTR SA allows/assists any subs salesman to block/delete any and all comments its authors don't approve of, all marketing like TWTR. And they have been deleting politically incorrect comments
As far as financial headlines SA relies on free alerts from Marketwatch, CNBC etc to report business news so you may read about those hours later after financial media's reported them or even not at all. They really just focus on promoting subscriptions salesmen now. That's their business model

They are nothing but snakeoil salesman, they force you to register if you are trying to read their free articles and after you register you get spammed with incessant offers. They charge over $300 for their premium service which is rubbish i don't know how they are still in business

I can recommend them both very highly as they actually listen and invest in the shares they write about!

Seeking Alpha has become my go-to info source for navigating through the tricky world of stocks, bonds, ETFs, and CEFs.
I lost access to the email associated with my account, and everyone on the team provided prompt, friendly service to restore my account access.
I look forward to a continued relationship with Seeking Alpha to help me meet my investment goals in the months and years to come.
All my best,
G

Seeking Alpha is an invaluable tool for trading. Information is able to be organized in an easy to read graph format and sorted as desired. The rating system is very helpful. I read many of the contributors articles and gain lots of insight and often good ideas of stocks to watch. I also enjoy reading the comments made on the articles and often gain further insight into a stock, being often surprised at what the other members know about a company or their management, or critiquing the author. The ease of finding dividend dates and sorting by that date to take advantage of upcoming dividends is simple, as is the history of the dividends and measured safety. Finding earnings reports due is right at your fingertips. How companies compare to its peers is an added layer for additional research and judegement. I often find that the newsfeed is more up to date than at my broker, or my cell phone app. I wouldn't want to trade without it.

Answer: There was only one question in the are of your question: it was do they work in eastern time zone? I'm in the Central time zone and all times reflect my time. Although I didn't see any option to change to Eastern time. If I had to guess, I would think it could set local to members because they got everything else so right.
Seeking Alpha has a rating of 2.8 stars from 358 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers dissatisfied with Seeking Alpha most frequently mention premium service, credit card and free trial. Seeking Alpha ranks 3rd among Stock Trading sites.
