The rep took his time explaining all coverages under each type. He was not pushy like other sales reps I dealt with. He knew his product and I am very happy with my purchase. Much cheaper than others and they are one of the leaders in home warranties.

Service over the phone with Chase Reynolds was exceptional. He was very accommodating and answers every question I had. Even though I knew I was able to cancel the contract at any point if I became unsatisfied with your service - I decided on a 3 year contract because of the great price. I am very satisfied with our agreement and look forward to a satisfying relationship.

Filed 3 claims in the course of a year and a half all three denied bogus reasons total scam they look for any reason to deny your claim and when all else fails for them they say depreciation and will only offer you $200 at most and only after you submit a paid invoice. Customer service works off flow charts which is circuitous and gets you nowhere. Even talking to a manager has the same result and excuses. They say they are in NJ but I'm almost certain they are not
Do not trust these people to take care of anything. They will look for an excuse to not cover a majority of the claims, and the contractors they use are terrible. I had a plumber cancel on me twice and then no showed the third time. I had my dishwasher fixed only after I used my own provider and then it took 4 months to get an $85 reimbursement check. The fine print basically allows them to not cover your claim for any reason. Go elsewhere.
I moved and tried to get a refund but they told me I had a $75 cancellation fee.
I worked here it's a big scam. They are based in a small New York office and only approve about 10% of claims, never in full. All 5 star reviews are there because customers get a free month of useless coverage for posting a good review. Everything is indeed written in the T&C but good luck getting a hold of that.
So far, I am a new customer but I plan on being an old and steadfast customer with this company. Not only have I saved money with their yearly plans, but I was extremely amazed to see that items like my refrigerator, sump pumps and AC units were covered and not listed as add ons. I look forward to a long and prosperous relationship with my new company.
I chose them because of their high scores in customer service, but the first chance they had to provide good service, they failed. I had a claim just after the "30" day waiting period required for my policy to be active, but because i paid by debit card, they added 5 days. Instead of taking the opportunity to provide good service, they simply reply with, "If you read the contract, it says you have to wait the extra 5 days". While I understand it states that, it seems like a good chance to show why should stay with them instead of going to a competitor who actually cares. I'll be going elsewhere and will be recommending others do the same. VERY disappointing.
I have been with a competitor for a few years prior to Select Home Warranty. The liaison I spoke to on the phone was friendly, professional and easy to talk to. He was able to lay out all of the guidelines for me about the program. The cost is very reasonable compared to other companies and has the same, If not better, perks. It would be wise to select this company! Our last company was Terrible with wait times (many days)to have our water heater fixed, furnace fixed etc. I am very glad we found them!
I just filled the form to see the quote and before the last step they called me. There is no even any flag or notice that they will call. So they called without my agreement and that was the most stupid thing the sales can do, I was almost ready to buy warranty but they distracted me. They have no any agreement flag or notice and use my personal information before I take a "SUBMIT" action. They used my contact information BEFORE I agreed to provide it - that's how all scammers behave.
I googled, found reviews and... well. They do not deserve any trust. Like several other companies I tried - they did the same. Now they are calling me every day, I'm even tired of blocking their numbers.
BTW do not look at the positive reviews, nobody writes positives unless they have to or just bored.
If you have enough time you will find common language in al positives that shows they are written by same person or group.

Answer: After filing 5 claims, and one tech that wanted to pad his pocket resulting in me fixing my own leak in a toilet at my expense after paying their tech. And another tech wanting to get my pool setup for summer at150. More than I already gave for deductible she didn't fix my pump or water line to my pool. Both denied by select home Warrenty. And 3 more that I paid their techs for then had to fix it myself. Now my freezers compressor is out and they took money out of my bank account without my permission after saying they would go ahead and fix the freezer well guess what they declined it. And said it wasn't covered when in the contract it says it is. List all meat and others because of 3 weeks if waiting for them
