Sephora puts me in a mind like a kid in a candy store. They have everything and anything and if you watch the sales it is a super place to shop and they are always offering up something free or a super special. Yes, you have to buy something but what are you there for? I am very fair skinned with freckles and they always help me find exactly what I want without pushing too much on me. At 56 I know how to politely get them away and make my purchases happily. I don't like Ulta because I feel like a bunch of hawks descend down on you the moment you enter the store. Sephora has more of a laid back vibe and I love their products. Ordering online has never been a problem for me.
Okay first of all I love sephora so much, it's not even funny everytime I go on their website I always end up buying something. I've always had such a great experience with sephora and I love the fact that you can redeem points for gifts. I also love that they have special vib events. I love every palette that I've purchased from sephora they are my babies. And let me tell you, if you ever want to buy some thing from sephora that you've been wanting then you treat yourself because you deserve it and it's like getting Christmas gifts in your mailbox.
You cannot cancel an order - even if you call 1 minute after placing it. A refund takes 30 days AFTER THEy receive the product. Customer services does not answer emails. You are put on hold when you call with problems. AVOID
I shop at Sephora.com a lot, They have a huge selection of products and have a lenient return policy. They allow reviews using a screen name, hence you keep your privacy. However you can't edit your reviews or add to them at a later date, I do feel that there are a lot of paid for reviews on their website, the only reason for 4 instead of 5 stars.
I've been a Sephora customer for many, many years. I've noticed over the last 2-3 years, however, that the promises they make to their customers aren't kept more and more often. The last 4 orders I've placed with them have not shipped on time. When I've inquired about it I just get a generic email response with some excuse or another in it. I actually pay an annual fee to get 2-day flash shipping. I won't pay that again when it's time to renew, though, because Sephora apparently just wanted to take my money for a service they're unable to provide. Ulta offers the same brands (and more), so I'll be placing my next order with them.
I purchased the Coconut Sun from The 7 Virtues and it is the absolute best smelling fragrance ever! It lasts all day long with minimal amount, and it literally smells like the beach so up-lifting! My entire family has gone to purchase a bottle. Not only is it the best fragrance out there, but the company themselves as a whole has such strong values. Thank you The 7 Virtues!
Unbeatable customer service. I love their online reviews - there is a huge community who posts reviews and videos which is super helpful when picking products!
If you don't like your product, you can return it even if it's opened and used.
I bought a mascara that started clumping after only a week, and I easily returned it - they don't make you feel guilty at all.
In store, the workers there all seem to be enjoying themselves, and I've never felt rushed. I've gotten many mini-makeovers and have always liked the products I've bought. Again, I've never felt pressured to buy anything recommended, either.
Sephora is a girl's best friend. They have (almost) all of the "cult classic" favorites of cosmetics, skincare, hair care, etc. If it doesn't work out, you can send it back without having to pay return shipping, and you can keep the free samples you get with every order. You get 3 free samples with every order and if you Google for sephora online coupon codes you can find good deluxe sample codes too! Deluxe samples are samples in larger quantities that you can use for a week or more to see if you really like the product. Their site also has a place where the members review the products, and most products also have a list of ingredients on the site too. Customer service is extremely helpful and they sound like they are American customer service... not this foreign outsourced stuff!
Great products, great prices, great perks, great customer service, no hassle returns... all in all... love this site.
Only one drawback: SOMETIMES you can find a better price somewhere else.
Pricewise, possibly reliable with somewhere else, but they do have specials and gift sets that are actually good deals from Sephora. The online buyer should be careful although that the sizes of those products can be actually tiny. But filter features are not very good, so you have to use rather a lot of time clicking into each product and going throughout all the info details.
I have used this site and been a fan of JCpenny's in general. However, samples and their extra benefits are sometimes now often replaced or just not given at all. It used to be you would get 2 day flash shipping and now that has gone away. I believe it has gotten busier and lost like most businesses the accountability to keep business. I continue to shop but there are at times better prices and faster shipping at other sites now. :)
Answer: There are a ton of great moisturizing and anti-aging products out there to help you. Sephora has so many that your head will spin, but there are also a lot of drugstore alternatives that are rated just as highly (or better) than a lot of higher-end ones. I would do some research online before ever stepping foot into a store like Sephora (trust me - they will bombard you with very expensive things you don't need). Honestly, I really like Ulta as a store better than Sephora because they carry both drugstore, middle-end, and higher-end products. (MUCH better service, too) But before you go anywhere, Google things like "best anti-aging products for mature skin" or things like that. Using multiple products, such as a glycolic toner, a serum, as well as a moisturizer is a good idea. One thing that is FANTASTIC for wrinkles and dark spots is Retin-A, but you have to get a prescription for it and it is harsh on your skin (especially if you're sensitive). It literally kills off your top layer of skin (which leads to a very annoying period of your face peeling for a few weeks), but once you get over the growing pains, your skin is amazing. I was diagnosed with melasma, which is hyperpigmentation of the skin, on my face, so my doctor gave me Retin-A and hydroquinone, which really works at fading dark spots. If you can't afford the Retin-A (mine is over $200 a tube), there are a lot of great OTC products that contain retinol and work well, just not like the Rx version. Neutrogena has a great line of products for dark spots and wrinkles. But like I said, do your research and don't let sales reps push you into really expensive products, because they get a commission, and you may get stuck with a bad product and an empty wallet. Hope this helps!
Answer: This is Sephora's list of current promo codes. They should always be valid - whether you get them to actually give you what they're supposed to is always a gamble. To get a birthday promo, you have to join their Beauty Insiders club. It's free - just go to their website.
Answer: Yes. I have to take Care of my skin in every routine when my acne appears
Answer: Yes! They have a VERY liberal return policy. You can try most products in store, as well. But, if you do buy something that you don't agree with, for any reason, don't worry. They exchange easily. I always use Sephora.com... never have had a problem returning for any reason whatsoever.
Sephora has a rating of 2.8 stars from 530 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers dissatisfied with Sephora most frequently mention customer service, gift card and next day. Sephora ranks 706th among Cosmetics sites.
