I had 2 items delivered by a company through Shiply. The company were excellent. I could probably have got 1 of them a bit cheaper as they charged extra for a 2 man service - but I can't really complain. Shiply and the courier company did exactly what I wanted in a completely professional manner.
The shipper that Shiply provided, never showed up. I spoke to the agent directly before I gave my deposit, and he guaranteed that our material would be picked up on our date. Nobody called, nobody showed up, and my order was delayed. I spent half of the day trying to get answers and Shiply was useless.
Shiply cannot be trusted to provide quotes from reputable companies. We were scammed by a "business" that was verified on their platform, when they clearly did not complete due diligence on who they were verifying. The reviews the carrier has listed on their page are fake - in fact, they stated my sister gave them a positive review when we were scammed out of our money. You don't know the information of the business until you book the job through the website. Well, after we were scammed out of our money and looked up the business address, it turns out it was for the Georgia Department of Corrections. If you can't trust who Shiply verifies as a reputable carrier, what's the point of using their site? I would avoid at all costs and save yourself time, money, and unnecessary stress.
I bought a car on a Tuesday and searched online for a transporter. I found Shiply and after entering a few details, I received a handful of transport quotes that evening. I chose one, paid my deposit and had my car transported from the UK to the middle of France. It arrived three days later and I paid the balance when the transport arrived. It doesn't get much better than that! Great service!
I found the process simple, efficient and cost effective, would use the service again.
It really helped as this particular item was 85kg mass and the main couriers (Royal Mail and UPS) didn't have a service that we could use.

This is my first experience of transporting any goods and I was very pleasantly surprised at the quotes I received. Everything went as stated and expected and delivery was exactly on time. The two guys on the van were very pleasant and helpful in assisting us getting the bed etc upstairs.
I hired this company to collect a upvc door in Sheffield and deliver to Wiltshire.
Despite having to call twice to collect the door as the seller had 'lost it' they did not complain nor charge me for the inconvenience. The communication was excellent and the tracking service brilliant showed the delivery vehicle spot right to my address. It would have cost me more in fuel to go and get myself!
The driver was very pleasant considering he arrived at 6.45am having driven over three hours to get to me.
All in all I cannot fault the service and am happy to recommend them to anyone.
Good place to get competitive courier quotes. Would prefer the entire payment process to be carried out through Shiply for peace of mind. Paying a deposit then balance through a separate process unnecessarily complicates the experience!
Finding a courier service from Ireland to the Netherlands was very easy with Shiply.com. Communication was quick and in a couple of days everything was organised and delivered for a good price. Would highly recommend Shiply.
Great idea to have a central co-ordinator for a variety of busy courier companies. However Shiply needs much better communication skills and flexibility.
Very difficult to communicate with, re. Change of post codes and no facility for multi-drop or multi pick-up offered.
So, good idea but needs more thought through processes. Shiply needs to be far more flexible regarding customer requirements. Also needs much better person to person contact, found telephone comms very sketchy. (poor)
Easy to use website, love that you have a choice of quotes, it was quick and efficient. Once the quote was chosen contact with the transport company was excellent and the team were professional, courteous, punctual, and extremely reasonable. I had an international shipment of household items + furniture from The Netherlands to Scotland as I was returning to my native Scotland after 15 years in NL. I used Shiply and received lots of quotes. My shipment has been delivered for a price I could not have matched if I had done it myself (the ferry price alone would have cost me more than the quote I selected). All of my items and furniture are in perfect order. Shiply was a very efficient website to use. I would recommend Shiply to anyone who has a shipment to make.
Very frustrating from a customer point of view—-
* The driver did not ask for loading assistance in advance (he knew object weight and dimensions from application form)
* The driver changed the requested day (Friday) to Thursday.
* The driver did not arrive on the new day (Thursday) when he stated he would arrive; he was well over 2 hours later than agreed time. The individual waiting to coordinate the pickup wasted over 2.5 hours. I am seeking refund of my deposit. Based on other reviews, this will be difficult.

After initial apprehension in using the site to transport a car leather interior from South Wales to Lancashire I found the whole process trouble free, well communicated and promptly delivered by polite drivers who had delivered the interior without a mark on it. Kerp up the good work!

I had to arrange a pick of of a small bookcase and Shiply's service is a great idea as rather than having to phone a huge number of couriers to get the best deal, Shiply does this for you by taking the details and then getting interested couriers to offer you their best price. It is also really helpful that you get to see the reviews and star ratings to help you make an informed choice. The courier that I chose, GiraffeNicole, really stood out as a professional and good-value firm.
After only 5 mins of navigating the website and describing the object I wanted moving. Within minutes I had quotes from couriers within 4 hours I could make my choice about price and timings. Made the whole experience easy.
