Great experience! Prices comparable to Zappos, and often have additional discounts - have ordered several pairs of shoes from this site, they ship fast, and the few times I've had to return a pair, credit always appears quickly.
Returning shoes turned out to be an ordeal, requiring HOURS on hold. It was very frustrating. Now, when I click unsubscribe, I get an error message every time. So I keep getting their ads in my email. I will never use this site again
Ordered a pair of Saucony running shoes 6 days ago. Finally received an email that they shipped with a tracking number. When i went to track the package on the UPS website it said the package was delivered 5 months earlier. Called UPS and they said they had no notice to pick up the package. So, then called ShoeBuy customer service twice. Have been holding the line now for over 30 minutes each time. This company is a sham. I am going to cancel my order through my credit card company as I am sure I will never get any credit through ShoeBuy. Wish I had read these reviews first.
I have ordered many shoes from Shoebuy.com during the last 10 years. Recently I ordered two pair of sandals because you don't know how a manufacturer's shoe will fit. Neither fit my foot properly. I went online to return the shoes and found a new restocking charge. Clearly they did not communicate this to existing customers when ordering. I looked at the website and it is no clear that only exchanges are free. I am very disappointed in customer service and this new policy. I will not be using them again.
We would like to thank this customer for shopping with us and we appreciate the feedback about the return policy. Our policy has been in place since August 1st, 2015. We updated our website back on July 16th, 2015 to show the policy and to make sure customers would know in advance. Our homepage says “free shipping + free exchanges” and the entire policy was announced and listed under the Returns section of our Help page. Our policy now focuses on free exchanges because we’re certain we can find the right match for our customers – whether that’s a different size, color or completely different item altogether. We’ve also worked to make returns as easy as possible – though if no item is being exchanged then there would be restocking fee. We understand that this customer is disappointed with our policy, and we do sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Should they opt to exchange, we’re happy to help them find new styles or items to try.
Ordered 2 pair of shoes, and both came the wrong size. Called Customer Service and spoke with someone I could barely understand as she had a very thick accent. I didn't receive shipping labels to return for correct sizes, and asked for express delivery which, I was informed today, could not be done... what a waste of my time and money. The second call to customer service left me on hold for 10 minutes only to come back and inform me of restocking charges?
Disgusted and will never use shoebuy.com again.
We sincerely apologize for any misinformation you received. There is no restocking fee when an incorrect size is accidentally shipped. We recommend contacting ShoeBuy customer service again if you were mistakenly charged this restocking fee.
I guess the 1 star is for their successful website that leads you to believe you are getting a great deal. But should you need to exchange or return, SHOES.COM could care less about the consumers interest. Rather than allowing me a size exchange, they required that I return the wrong size and reorder the new size; rendering me out the $$$ twice.( the shoes were over $100 dollars each) They then refused to accept my return of the first pair and made no effort to rectify my situation; it was my unfortunate problem they told me. I even asked to speak with a supervisor. I guess they are too big a company to care about losing one customer. The best they could do was offer me 30% off my next pair; as if id ever buy from them again. PLUS, the site already offered a 30% off discount code so, thanks for nothing, literally! Shake my head! Shameful!... the consumer discount is discounted service and business ethic. Too many other places to shop!
I ordered limited edition hello kitty doc martens from shoes.com without reading the reviews. Obviously, I was terrified. I'm giving it a 3 star rating because they shipped me my shoes in perfect condition within 4 days of my purchase, but they were the wrong size. This is my own fault because I didn't realize they were in UK sizes rather than US. I followed the instructions on their website to get my return label, but any information I enter leads me to an error message regardless of it being correct. I cannot get my return label so I cannot ship my package back. I tried calling them and I have currently been on hold for TWO HOURS. This site is great if you need shoes fast but god forbid there be any error because you will get stuck with shoes 3 times the size of your feet with no way to return them.
The customer service is none existent. Will never shop again. When I spend $50 on baby shoes, I don't expect to babysit the order. Many sites out there with better option, cheaper prices, and good service.
I received flyers in the mail from this company for 25 or 30% off. Also every time you go to their website there is an advertisement across the top of the page stating they have a percentage off with a code. It only says brand exclusions apply but will not specify which brands. Apparently it is EVERY brand that they sell because nothing I ever have in my cart will qualify for any promotions. I understand some expensive brands cannot have discounts applied, but I even tried to purchase a $25 belt one time and the discount would not apply to it either. I don't know why they advertise for sales that they never intend to give you. Very annoying
Never ever use Shoebuy! I do most of my shopping online and I have dealt with many companies. I purchased boots and yes, I kept them over the 60 day return policy that I did not read about. They were taken out of the box for a total of two minutes. However, Shoebuy refused to take back or even give credit for gorgeous Johnson and Murphy boots. The first representative was fairly nice. The supervisor after her was quite rude and could not care less if anyone did business with the company. It is not a reputable business in my opinion. Zappos or Amazon is the way to go!
We would like to thank the customer for their business and we can certainly appreciate that this is a frustrating experience for them as they do not wish to keep the shoes. However, we are unable to accept returns over 60 days and this decision was made carefully and in accordance with our policies (for the customer’s reference: http://www.shoebuy.com/info/returns).
All companies have policies and standards by which we must adhere. We want to be sure that this customer as with all our customers have the best possible shopping experience and that we delight all with every purchase, and our policies have been structured to help ensure this is the case.
I have been a customer of Shoebuy.com for many years. I get e-mail offers from them several times a week. Yet when they changed their return policy on Aug. 1,2015, they didn't send out an e-mail to alert their customers. Very sneaky and underhanded way of doing business. There are too many other options out there to choose from. Shoebuy just lost a steady customer by refusing to waive the return fee on two pairs of shoes. BTW, the shoes were ordered in WW width, but they looked like they were made for extra narrow feet. Why should I be punished for shoes that are mis-sized?
Hi Enid - Thank you for your feedback about our return policy. On July 16th our site was updated to show the new policy to make sure customers would know in advance. Please email your order number to socialsupport@shoebuy.com so we can take a look at it. Thanks!
Don't order from shoebuy unless you have UNLIMITED time to wait for your order. When you place an order, it apparently goes into a black hole as they can't give you any status or any feedback as to when it might ship and how long it will take to get it. There is no expedited shipping available. What other mail order vendor do you know that can take up to 3 weeks to get you your product. My wife and I are leaving for Europe and, I guess, our order will be delivered to an empty house. Shoebuy reps are not helpful at all. Their attitude when you have a problem caused by their inefficiency is "that's tough - we could care less".
Non-existent customer service. Ignore calls, emails and orders until you try to cancel. Only send orders after you never hear from them, and cancel. Initially deny receiving order when you check online. Read customer reviews, and their Better Business Reviews. Many complaints. Issues with them with UPS, too. I had to file a fraud complaint with my credit card co. To get my money back, and it took a very long time. No matter how great their price is, it won't be worth the hassle... if you even get your shoes, and if you do, if they're 1) the right shoes, size, etc. and 2) if they're in brand new looking condition. Read their reviews...
I have reached out 6 times now and no response. No email after purchase, no status update, no tracking number, nothing!
Why are these businesses allowed to stay active and continue to do this to us? Everything else in this world is monitored or shut down if it is breaking the law, so what about protecting the consumer a bit more - especially when there are so complaints.
I'm 74, was diagnosed with cancer shortly after purchasing 3 pair of shoes, a size too wide. The 60 day exchange limit was exceeded and they would not make an exception to exchanging the shoes. So, I'm out about $300 but will donate the them to a worthy charity. Suggest, in the strongest terms possible, avoiding ShoeBuy or doing business with ICA, their parent company, or any of their subsidiaries!
Tip for consumers:
Avoid at all costs!
Hello Morton! We are very sorry that you were disappointed with our return policy. Unfortunately we are only able to accept returns within 60 days. Your orders were from August and July of 2015 and too far past our return policy for any exceptions to be made. We do try to offer the best service to all of our customers and we are very sorry that the call was ended before a resolution could be reached.
This company is disreputable and does not stand behind their products. I bought a pair of Clark's sandals through Amazon and wore them twice only to find out they squeaked when you walked. Shoes.com will not take them back because they say I am past the time frame. First of all, I was out of commission for 2 months due to surgery. Secondly, STAND BEHIND YOUR PRODUCTS. I don't care if it's past 30 or 60 days. If a product is defective, have integrity and take it back or at least let the customer exchange it. You have got to be kidding me! I spent $100.00 on these shoes and they suck! Shoes.com does too.
Hi Michele,
Thank you for the review. We are very sorry that your recent experience with us was not so great. Please check your private messages here as we have just sent one onto you. We would like to see can we rectify this any further and redeem ourselves a little.
Kind Regards,
The Shoes.com/Onlineshoes team.
I bought a pair of shoes from shoes.com. In the box there was a "full 45-day limited comfort warranty" which explained that you could return the shoes for any reason within 45 days. I wore the shoes one time and found they hurt my feet. Customer service refused to even listen to my claim. They just kept repeating that their policy is that they do not take shoes back that have been worn. I will repeat, this warranty was IN THE BOX! If they even gave me any kind of explanation, I would not have been happy but probably pacified. I will NEVER buy from them again. They do not support their product.
I wish I checked here before spending my hard earned money here. I am out $100 because they sent me the wrong shoe size and then "lost" another pair. I received a non-functional tracking number and any time I have tried to request more details, I am given an automatic fake email reply. I am going to follow up with my credit card company to reject the charge.
So frustrated. Will stick with Zappos forever from now on.
This is a horrible company with terrible customer service and ridiculous policies. I will never use them again. Dealing with the DMV is more pleasurable than dealing with these crooks. They lost a shipment, and treated me like I was lying, and insisted on conducting an investigation that could last 2.5 weeks, rather than refunding my money or sending me another pair of shoes. Then they acted like I was being unreasonable. No one seemed to know what they see doing and the first person I spoke with, Julia, acted like a sullen adolescent with attitude to burn. She was rude, she mumbled, she muttered things under her breath... it was unbelievable. I have never been so frustrated and insulted while dealing with a company. They treated me like I was lying. Now I regret the fact that they have my address and telephone number and credit card info, as I'm not sure they are a reputable company.
Don't use them. Ever.
Hi Jeanne -- We are so sorry to hear your package was lost and the frustrating experience you had with our customer service department. Please send an email to socialsupport@shoebuy.com with your order number and we will be happy to take a look at it. Thank you!
This site consistently takes an extreme amount of time to ship their products. It has been seven days since ordering a backpack from shoebuy.com and the product still has not even shipped. I will not be ordering from them again.
All our items are supposed to be delivered within 10 business days. Please note that weekends and holidays are not considered business days. If a customers item is not delivered within 10 business days, this is considered a problem and is outside of our normal policy. In this situation we would ask the customer to contact our customer service line so we can look into the problem and resolve it.
Ordered a pair of shoes and tried on indoors, sent back for return. Shoes arrived back in main stating the soles were too dirty for resale. Brand news shoes without a scratch on them, if you wore these in a shoe store, Shoes.com would deem them used and non-returnable. Beware. After this experience, interesting glancing through these reviews, seeing how many customers are experiencing similar situations.
I have been waiting for a refund they told me it would be issued 3-5 business days well 11/5 is the 5th day and now they are telling me I have to wait 7 days I would never order anything from them or even recommend for that matter to anyone!
I got ripped off at shoes.com would not take back sneakers. The first time I didn't know policy, but the second time I made sure they looked clean. According to many people on this site and the bbb it seems like a common occurrence.
I never received my boots from shoes.com. They told me to file a police report. I live in a gated community and never had an issue with an UPS deliveries. I understand shoe.com didn't personally deliver my package however they should take responsibility for it never being received. FEDEX has been known to mess up deliveries and what company authorizes a $400 product to be just left at your door. I was supposed to have received them on new years eve and they are still waiting for FEDEX to reply. This was my first purchase from shoes.com and my last. Very disappointed in the customer service.
My experience was very similar to most of the complaints. Buy shoes from them, poor fit, return them and they send the shoes back saying they had been worn, are scuffed, etc., which is total nonsense. I wrote them a nasty letter saying they should have at least provided notice they were returning the same shoes back (they looked fine to me). So they respond by saying someone in customer service would review the images. What? Someone takes pictures of the shoes when they come back? Yeah, sure. I never heard another word from them. They all should be in jail for mail fraud.
I have purchased from this company for many years now and I have really appreciated the free shipping even on returns. I live in an area that doesn't have many stores so when I need shoes it can be a long drive to a town where one can find the styles, brands and sizes available to be able to find the right shoes. I have had great luck getting what I need at an affordable price that includes no shipping charges on top of the sale. Customer service is always pleasant and helpful. I highly recommend this site for any shoe needs you might have.
This is a great site for many reasons: They offer free shipping and free returns. They have a large selection and competitive prices. They frequently feature discount codes of around 20% off and occasionally send members perks like $20 off your purchase. Plus, members always get an additional 10% off if they've made another purchase within the past month or so.

Hi Beth - We're sorry to hear of the experience you have had with us thus far. We are committed to making things right for our customers, and want to help. It sounds as though the tracking number was recycled. While this is an unusual practice, we are aware of it. Expanding the shipment progress for the tracking number on UPS.com will indicate “Order Processed: Ready for UPS with a present date. Typically, the tracking number will update with scheduled delivery date within 24-48 hours, after it has been scanned at a UPS hub. We'd be happy to look into this further and make sure your sneakers are on the way. Could you please email us your order number at socialsupport@shoebuy.com? Thank you.
