Great experience! Prices comparable to Zappos, and often have additional discounts - have ordered several pairs of shoes from this site, they ship fast, and the few times I've had to return a pair, credit always appears quickly.
Returning shoes turned out to be an ordeal, requiring HOURS on hold. It was very frustrating. Now, when I click unsubscribe, I get an error message every time. So I keep getting their ads in my email. I will never use this site again
They sent me someone else's shoes and now I can't find out where my shoes are, never a supervisor available. The customer service rep was very rude. I will never order from here again. I will stick with Zappos,, I was told on 2 separate occasions A supervisor would call me back 14 days later, still waiting
I will NEVER order from Shoes.com. I didn't want to select any starts, but I had to select one to post this review. I am a huge online shopper and have never had such a bad experience. After being on hold for over 30 minutes, I figured out how to process a return without an account or speaking to someone. Also learned that I will be charged $5.95 for the return. So much for free shipping and returns! I will never go to this site again, ever. Terrible (really no) customer service and misleading claims regarding shipping and return fees.
Hi Dara,
Thank you for the review. We are really sorry for the frustration trying to reach our customer service, it is something we are working on. Please do check your messages as we are sending one onto you right away.
Kind Regards,
Shoes.com
Bought many pairs of shoes from them. Kept most. Returned a few. Prices are good. Selection is great. Shoes arrive when promised and refunds are made promptly and with no fees. Overall a great experience. I have recommended to all my friends. Great company!
I ordered 2 pairs of shoes and received an email telling me that one pair has been cancelled. I called to clarify and was told that they are no longer in stock. I was very upset because I planned on receiving these shoes next week and need them for a wedding. I said that I don't understand how it takes almost a week to notify me that something is out of stock. The customer service representative then argued that it hasn't been almost a week... It's been 5 business days, which is almost a week to me. She then told me that I needed to look at this from a bigger perspective than my own. My understanding from this conversation is: Do not rely on shoebuy to fulfill the order. If you find something you like but don't really care if you ever receive it, go ahead and order. Shoebuy feels no responsibility to fill orders.
We are so sorry to hear that you did not receive the excellent standard of customer service that we strive to provide. Unfortunately, because of how things ship, we are sometimes informed by the supplier that an order cannot be fulfilled due to being out of stock. In these situations, we usually try to cancel as soon as possible so the customer will have their money back as soon as possible. This is a rare occurrence and we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience it causes.
I bought two pairs of boots and ordered the wrong size. They sent me the return tags and I took them to UPS as directed. Since it was two tags, they could not send in the original box. My credit card was credited and then I see charges from them again on boots I did not ordered and received them back. I contacted customer service and they cannot refund my money due to the boxes were damaged in transit. This company is nothing but a scam do not use them.
Ordered a pair of sandals. It took 7 days to ship and another 5 days to receive by horse and wagon. Other companies can get stuff to you with free shipping in 2-3 days, why can't they? When trying to find a tracking number with the order number it said my order didn't exist. I finally called to find out what was going on. They have internal problems they need to fix. You live and learn.
Ordered some sneakers, they came to me defective. Shoebuy wanted me to return (pay $6.95 fee) and then reorder new ones. Very deceptive. When i asked to exchange them for a non-defective pair, they told me my size was sold out. Very, very shady behavior -- should be their responsibility to send me a non-defective pair of shoes and waive the restocking fee.
Will never shop here again.
We would like to thank the customer for shopping with us and apologize for any confusion with our return/exchange policy. The customer can return the shoes as a defect and when our warehouse receives the shoes they will do a defect review on them. If the shoes are deemed to be defective no restocking fee would be charged.
Purchased a pair of shoes from Shoes.com and wore them inside on carpet only 2 times for short periods of time. Did not fit properly and returned for refund. They were sent back to me saying they had been worn and soles were scuffed. Talked to someone in customer service who could only argue with me. Shoes.com Is not a place to purchase shoes. Try Amazon instead.
I have been shopping at this site for years, but lately their customer service has been deplorable. I am missing a pair of shoes from a shipment ordered a month ago, and despite multiple attempts to reach customer service via both email and telephone, I have received no response to my inquiries. When I am able to get through to the customer service number, I wait for many minutes on hold, only to be summarily disconnected. Email responses are automated and have nothing to do with my question. I have wasted many hours trying to get a response from their merchant to no avail, despite their claims that customer service is of utmost importance to them. I will not be shopping at shoes.com again
Tip for consumers:
customer service is actually non existent, since there have been zero replies to my inquiries in a month, despite many attempts via both email and telephone

I was a long time customer who spent thousands with them. Then I had to return the 2 pair I just bought due to fit and no exchange sizes were in stock, I was never notified of the new 6.95 PER ITEM restocking fee. I called and was rudely told too bad- it's not their problem and they will not make any adjustments. I can't fathom why they would do this to GREAT customers. A simple adjustment would keep my business and the next time, I know what the new policy is. But no, not at Shoebuy.
We would like to thank this customer for shopping with us for years however this is not the first time this customer ever returned items. We tried to explain to this customer they could exchange their items for anything on our website and not be charged the restocking fee. We understand that this customer is disappointed with our policy, and we do sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Should they decide to exchange, we’re happy to help them find new styles or items to try.
Anything to make a sale. Send the wrong color shoes just in case they stick. Then you want to return them? No problem except for the $6.95 restocking fee. In the fine print as part of the free return policy they advertise. These guy are very bad.
This company has been so difficult to deal with, that I am actually writing my first review. I ordered 2 pairs of running shoes. I confirmed that they can deliver to a PO Box. However, they chose to ship via UPS that won't deliver to a PO Box. I spent the morning on the phone with UPS and finally got an address change. Only then did I find out that they sent the shoes in separate parcels - one of which shipped, the other of which just had a label created but was never put into a parcel. I spent further time on the phone with one agent (who hung up, I'm assuming accidentally), then a second agent who could not/would not provide assistance. Shoes are the right price, but only if you receive them. Go elsewhere.
Hi Kris! We are so sorry for any confusion. We always ship with UPS but our contract with them allows them to deliver to a P. O. Box. If you did not receive your package due to a ShoeBuy or UPS error then our customer service department can usually issue a full refund for the item.
Again we sincerely apologize for any confusion regarding our shipping policies and hope you have received your items by this time.
Purchased running shoes from shoebuy online at Wal-mart. Returned them but then Shoebuy sent the shoes back to me Erroneously claiming shoes were Worn and Dirty. I wore them on carpet for all of 5 minutes! I see others have had the exact same problem with returns to shoebuy for the exact same (erroneous) claim that the returned shoes were worn and dirty. Obviously this is their SCAM policy. Customer service claims they're doing a "image review" so we shall see but I'll never ever buy from them ever again.
We purchased 2 pair of shoes One box contained two different sized shoes. We spent an hour (mostly on hold) trying to get a solution to the problem. After much ado we have to take to the shoes to a UPS facility to return them. We expected "something" for all of our trouble and were surprised that "nothing" was our reward. Do not do business with this company.
Like most people, I wish I had read these reviews before I purchased. Shoe buy.com is making a profit off their "restocking fee", and you can not exchange based on the dollar amount. You have to exchange item for item. It's a scam.
Hi Jessica! We regret to hear that you were disappointed by our restocking fee. Our return policy can be found under the HELP button on our website and includes a 100% free exchange policy. Exchanges can be made for ANY item in stock on our website, even if it's just a pair of socks, and there will be no restocking fee.
Bought a pair of Van SK-8's for my daughter for Christmas. Returned due to wrong size. Several weeks later instead of a refund I received the same shoes back. Assuming it was an error I called hoping to be sent a new shipping label. I was informed that mt return would not be accepted and I was not eligible for a refund because I taped the shipping label to the shoe box and it was therefore "damaged'.
The shoes are never worn, tags still on, and the box has only slight tape residue and is in otherwise perfect condition but they will not give me back my money.
2 calls to customer service only left me frustrated.
Very disappointed. I will not be back And, for the record, they charge a $6.95 restocking fee on all returns which I find ridiculous
Hi Michelle! We are very sorry to hear that your return was rejected. Unfortunately, our return policy states that we need the shoebox back as part of all returns. If the Shoebox is damaged then we are unable to accept the return. We always recommend putting your return in a larger shipping box to avoid damage while shipping.
Terrible policy. They offer free exchanges, but when the item you want goes out of stock before your return shows back up they stick you with the restock fee. The reps just laugh and say "that's the way it is." Awful and deceptive company, I disputed the transaction with my credit card and hope they will settle it.
Hello Evan! We are terribly sorry that the item you wanted to exchange for is out of stock. If you wanted to to exchange for an item that is in stock, over 130,000 unique items, we would be happy to process that for you.
If a representative was rude or laughed at you, please let us know so that we can look into that call. Customer service is very important to us and we are very disappointed to hear that one of our representatives spoke to you that way.
Please email us at socialsupport@shoebuy.com with your order number and the phone number you used when you spoke to that representative.
Again, we sincerely apologize that the item you wanted to exchange for was out of stock.
I ordered from Europe. I had to pay an extra 60% of transport, duties and taxes, informed by the carrier the day before the delivery...
Shoebuy should inform clearly and directly their clients about all costs involved, like others do.
Also, I had no reply to my emails... And phone calls on hold seamed like never ending stories to the point of quitting.
Of course the carrier gave me the option of sending back the article, but with the risk of having no refund I opted to pay and forget. No Shoebuy again for sure! Unless I have a good reply and some kind satisfaction.
(For instance, I had a very small problem with an article from Asia: What did the supplier do? They've refunded without any questions and without having the article back. As simple as that).
Hello Bruno - Thank you for your feedback. We apologize for any inconvenience caused. International orders may be subject to additional charges for duties and taxes by the destination country. These charges are beyond our control. Duties and taxes will be paid on your behalf and subsequently collected from you by our shipping agent. You must agree to pay these charges to receive your order. International customers are prompted to read and agree these terms (for your reference: http://www.shoebuy.com/info/international-shipping) before placing their order. If you would like any further information about our policies or if you have any additional questions about your order, please feel free to contact us at socialsupport@shoebuy.com. Thank you!
Its been 20 days since I placed my order and I have sent many emails, I am unable to acess the email that was given when the shoes were purchased and so have no clue about when they should be arriving, my card has been charged but no one is bothering to reply to my emails? Honestly the worst service ever. I will be making a phone call later in the week.
Hi Victoria! We are very sorry to hear about this experience. Items are supposed to take 3-10 business days to arrive for U.S. orders and 10-14 business days for international orders. Please keep in mind that weekends and holidays are not business days.
If you have not received your order within this time frame, please contact our customer service department so we can investigate this.
I had a very expensive pair of sandals given to me in the winter for Christmas. I live in a snowy climate so I obviously had to wait until May to use them. Well in less then two months the sandals were coming apart even though I did not damage them or use them for any hard work. I was also careful to not get them wet. I contact shoes.com and asked if they had any recommendations for what I could do to fix this damage on my shoe (it was coming apart completely from the base). They could not have cared less and said it was longer then 60 days since the order was placed. I asked them how I would have worn these sandals in the winter and again asked what they can recommend I do To fix this. Still waiting for a reply. I would highly discourage anyone from buying on their site, the service reps do not care and have no interest in assisting. Terrible website!
Placed order Dec 6. It is now the 21 and no shoes. I called company 5 times and was told they were working with UPS to resolve. Finally called UPS today. They have had no contact about the problem. Called today 12-21-18 asking for a refund. They again said they would file a claim and it would be 10 days before they would here. Merry Christmas Stay away. Stay away. Needs a negative rating Nancy T.
Fellow Shoe Shoppers - please be advised that Shoebuy.com charges a $6.95 restocking fee PER PAIR of shoes returned. I recently ordered a pair of shoes in two different sizes so that I could try them. In order to return the pair that didn't fit I was charged $6.95 restocking fee plus the cost of returning the shoes, $12.00, for a total of almost $20.00 to return a $37.00 pair of shoes. Zappos, nor any other company that I deal with online does this. Ripping customers off is how they make their money,. Never again.
We would like to thank this customer for shopping with us and we appreciate her feedback about the return policy. Our homepage says “free shipping + free exchanges” and the entire policy is listed under the Returns section of our Help page. The new policy went into effect on August 1,2015, and all purchases made on August 1,2015 or after are subject to our new return policy. Our policy enables our customers to choose from any items in our inventory until we find an item they’ll love – more than a million items – whether that’s a different shoe or perhaps a bag or coat. In the event they prefer not to exchange for a new item, there is a restocking fee. We want to assure this customer that our decision to not waive the restocking fees on her order was made carefully and in accordance with our guidelines. We understand that this customer is disappointed with our policy, and we do sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Should she opt to exchange, we’re happy to help her find new styles or items to try.
I've only ordered one pair of shoes from here because of their 15% discount at the time for first time purchases. I ended up returning the pair, but I had no problems receiving it and shipping it back as well as receiving the money back. I think Zappos and Endless might have more selection and trendy shoes, but they've got a fair selection too - although as others have mentioned, sometimes their prices are high comparatively.
It seems like other people had difficulty with returning items. I guess I just never had this problem, because I liked the items I bought. I am really into nine west. I was able to get three shoes that were cheaper on this site than anywhere else. They didn't take long to arrive, and I was really happy with them. I feel that this site has a great selection of items at a good price.
This is the worst online company that I've ever dealt with. I look for shoes in my size, and place the order. Several days later, my order is cancelled with no explanation. I've made numerous attempts to contact them, and I get absolutely no response. Read their reviews here, and you'll know to stay away from shoes.com.
Tip for consumers:
Stay away!
