Many vendors provided stale food and when Skip was advised they did not care to address the issue or refund the money. There are limits to their refund, despite the driver or the restaurant being at fault. Why should the customer lose? Buyer beware.
I had a promo for $20 off one order. When I tried to place an order, the promo code would not show up. After placing the order, customer service said they'd only give me $20 CREDIT rather than $20 REFUND, and said I'd have to place another order to use said credit. Such a slimy, dishonest way to make people place TWO orders in order to get the $20 instead of just allowing them to use it on the first order, as the promo advertised. Deleting the app and never using this crap company again, too shady for my liking.
I am customer since 5 year now, there was delay in food delivery and bad weather.
I got notification saying there is no courier service, so I requested to cancel the transaction, after waiting for almost hour.

They said they would give me a 50% refund. I requested it in money to my account instead of skip credits. They decided to ignore me and gave me 8.75$ in skip credits when I spent almost 30$ on my meal. I now have no food and no money account to get some as they put it as skip credits. I have never spoken to so many incompetent people. I'd stick with uber lol.

I ordered from subway, delivery time was around 30/35 minutes but after 25/30 minutes I got a notification that your order has been cancelled. I was like WHAT THE F**k! I was so hungry then I chat with them and response was too lazy and finally said your money is refunded What a great customer service. This was first time experience and Probably be my last as well with skip.
If I could give Skip-the-Dishes a negative star rating I would. Our sushi dinner from one of our favourite local shops (which is excellent)was totally ruined when the bag (which
was previously stapled shut) was delivered opened, some of the sushi and ginger missing and the soup which had previously been wrapped appeared to have been unwrapped and spilled in the bag (the second soup was still tightly sealed). The thought of someone digging through our food order was totally unappetizing. This restaurant is very precise with their takeout which we ordered regularly through the past years. We contacted them and they verified the order process and details and were amazing.
But getting an actual credit back to our credit card was like sneezing out a chopstick- so painful! Why would I want a Skip-the-Dishes credit after all that? No thanks!

I ordered from New York fries at west Edmonton Mall 11:36 am an hour after that it said it would be 10 min until I get my order. When I checked it again it went up to 68 minutes until I get my order and they didn't help at all. I work right across the street and unfortunately am not able to leave work that is why I order from therm. After this I am no longer going through them, they were are very unhelpful with everything. It is now 1:34 pm and I still do not see my order at all. I called the restaurant and they confirmed that they were not busy enough for it to take over 2 hours.
The food was not delivered and the driver claimed he tried to reach me which was not true. The support team said on their end it shows delivered and they cannot refund me. Last time using this service
Like most Skip reviews, this one is also bad. Honestly never had a problem with them before this delivery. Ordered a pizza. Could see the driver puck it up, then he drove around with it for 50 minutes before delivering a cold pizza. The driver was upset they rerouted him. Skip Sucks!
Don't waste your time or money. Food is either tampered with, left in the car for hours, or doesn't even show up. Gave them another chance, never received my food. They don't give you your money back, they offer skip credits, but they keep some for service fees, for a service I never even received. Customer service is a joke, left feeling hungry and pissed off that my card is charged for food I did not even receive! So some random person or the delivery drivers gets my food, while my card is charged. Used the last of my available money to be screwed over with no remorse. Scam of a company, you don't see pizza delivery or other food delivery being handled like this. NO FOOD NO MONEY!

Ordered food at 8:11am, told 29-39 minutes and then immediately changed to 47 minutes after 10 minutes - tried to cancel with on line chat - took 7 minutes with no real response other than please wait. Left to get food - found out delivery was at 9:05am. What a joke. If you have all day and don't want your food to get here for awhile - please order through Skip the Dishes. Order #*******
We ordered a dinner and it was delivered to the wrong address. Skip the dishes was not helpful. They had no idea where the food was delivered. We had company and this is very inconvenient and upsetting. The offered "fix" was a "skip the dishes credit" to reorder? Ummm no... refund my credit card so I can call the restaurant myself and order directly as you unable to deliver my food to my address and you don't know what your drivers are doing. Also if I reorder they expect me to pay the gst again.?! They have no ideas where it was delivered and they are unable to contact the driver? Really? Seems like this service doesn't work then. PS... this is the third time this has happened so I am ranting and posting about an ongoing issue. I understand a one time mistake but this obviously a bigger issue.
Its not first time that the courier didn't my food. Its been numerous times that courier comes outside my house to deliver but neva came out of the car and when you check the status it says "delivered". They comes to your house for delivery and then don deliver. I would neva eva use skip the dishes again :(
They are just a platform to take your money. If your order has problems no one will take responsibility. The restaurant says the app has your credit card info so we cannot do anything, the app says you confirmed that the restaurant is responsible for the accuracy of the order. There support line sends you to their app and the chat system leads to nowhere!
Use Ubereats, doordash or just order from the restaurant directly
I had a recent fraud issue with skip the dishes. Someone hacked my account and used my account to order food in a different province than me. Skip the dishes doesn't believe that it was fraud and that I'm lying. They won't help at all. Even my bank won't do anything. Don't leave your credit card on your account.
I can't reach no body, no one is answering my live chat I have opened 5 and none where answered you can't call no one or reach no one. Your auto address is trash as well. The company is just rubbish. Not customer centric enough
I live in a complex and I can not believe how many of my orders were said to be dropped off that weren't. I've received orders from completely different restaurants at times and although some drivers have actually taken the time to call my number on file to help with directions to find my unit many others haven't taken the time to call. I'm assuming the food has been either kept or dropped off at a different address as I've heard other experiences of drivers doing this often (heard this from an actual employee driving for skip)
Chat supporters are not helpful at all. They have just automated replies and keep on sending that again and again. Please don't order your food from here because if there's anything wrong they will not help you out at all
Skip the dishes is the worst delivery app ever. They don't care about their customers and even employees for that matter. No wonder they fired so many of them. I placed an order and the restaurant couldn't deliver it. And skip refused to refund me my money. Is this how you guys are celebrating your 10 years victory. It's a shame. It's not about $30 it's about how you guys do not care. And the customer care chat box is trash. I along with my friends are never going to use the app again. You suck big time

When it's busy your food will not arrive and you are left scrambling for a alternative. Delivery service is terrible. Will not use again as it wasn't the first time this has happened.
Skip the dishes should be prosecuted under Alberta's law for paying its drivers below minimum wage. Look at the following pictures how skip the dishes pay it's drivers. Unbelievable! It is really unfair for skip the dishes to pay their drivers 5 dollars for 12 km trip while gas prices are on the roof.
I would never order from skipthedishes again i ordered some soup through skip and never got it and just because the driver said it was delivered to the right address they refuse to refund me my money i feel robbed and they customer service just dismissed me
Ordered my food to my home address for some reason it changed the address and it was a 15-minute drive away. I contacted the driver and said it was a mistake and he agreed to wait for me. He then called me and said that I owe him a $10 tip or he was going to leave the order there. As I got to the location he marked it as delivered I walked around the whole apartment complex and no food was there he stole it. I contacted skip the dishes and they said too bad once it's delivered we're not responsible even though it says deliver to my address but then it was delivered to a different address I can't believe this company is in business if they allow their drivers to steal food and all you have to do is market as delivered
Drug dealing drivers and rude customer service. This company needs to be put out of business. This is absolutely ridiculous and they are supporting them fentanyl dealing losers. This is disgusting and absolutely wrong. They are ignoring everything from my account.
And only got 50% refund for rude service.

Bought some GCs for work colleagues, only to find out that the emails they send out don't work i. E. can't click through. After spending 40min with customer service, they told me to call back after their tech support takes a look as its a "known issue". Guess my money is gone.
Guess what I had 20 other gift cards to send out, guess they won't be going to Skip.
If you have a problem, and they don't agree... they just hang up on you. Skip canceled my order, and gave me credit. I asked for a refund since they were the ones that canceled... instant disconnect. Terrible service, terrible company, deleted the app and will never use them again. Too many honest companies out there.

Food rarely gets delivered. And if it does it's cold, not delivered in insulated bags as advertised. Drivers are rude and tend to throw the items. Complaints to skip get ignored and say it's been rectified. Horrible horrible. Waste of money and time
