Many vendors provided stale food and when Skip was advised they did not care to address the issue or refund the money. There are limits to their refund, despite the driver or the restaurant being at fault. Why should the customer lose? Buyer beware.
I had a promo for $20 off one order. When I tried to place an order, the promo code would not show up. After placing the order, customer service said they'd only give me $20 CREDIT rather than $20 REFUND, and said I'd have to place another order to use said credit. Such a slimy, dishonest way to make people place TWO orders in order to get the $20 instead of just allowing them to use it on the first order, as the promo advertised. Deleting the app and never using this crap company again, too shady for my liking.
The first thing i do when i order is to make sure i have the right address, then i place my order, when my order is ready on its way, as soon as the driver gets close to my place the driver is not sure anymore about my address!, so the driver calls me, when i answer i can not understand what the driver is asking me because the driver does not speak very good english, so i speak slowly for the driver to understand me, then when the driver finally gets to my place the driver shows me the address that he's got from whom we both don't know? It was a different address and that's besides adding an extra 10-20 min on top of the delivery time and my order was a bit different also.
I soon make a chat call to customer service to report what happen, as i'm chatting with this person for some reason i get disconnected? So i make another chat call and explained to the person what just happen, the person tells me that my wifi disconnected me, (strange because i have very good wifi working from home). During our chat the person sympathizes with me and offers me a refund for half the amount of my order, i was very appreciative for showing concern, but the person did not provide a reason why my address got changed? So the person ended the conversation by saying, " sorry I can
't help you".
If I could give 0 stars I would. This company is horrible, they are nothing but a scam. Don't forget that if the restaurant makes a mistake and forgets an item YOU WILL NOT GET A REFUND. THEY WILL SCAM YOU OF YOUR MONEY. I hope this company gets what they deserve and go out of business. Stick with Uber Eats, they actually value their customers unlike this joke of a business

I dont recommend skip the dishes because they have the worst service didnt deliver my order nor refunded me for. The driver went some place else with my order and had a feast.
What a manipulative company. A coorperation comes in and offers companies more affordable delivery by overpricing their food on the app and ripping off the customers. Now this is the only option for delivery for most restaurants. If you cant afford to drive. Dont worry you will never get delivery from most restaurants you like without paying wayyy overprice for food. The people that really dont need to be ripped off are the people that need delivery the most. Im not buying from restaurants that support this scheme anymore. The amount of orders that are wrong cold and not delivered to the accurate location is un fathomable. On top of this the drivers cannot read English and literally don't know what left or right is. No thats not racist its an actual factual statement. The instructions i wrote where with capitals (cause I was getting frustrated)"LEFT side of the house through gate leave food on the chair and call upon delivery please and thank you very much." I found the food on the other side of the house or in the driveway eaten by animals. I even had 2 of them argue with me and tell me the right side was the left side... Out of 10 maybe 1 or 2 couriers got it right and 50 percent of the time my order was wrong or cold. Now if there's a problem with any order at any service I will let them know. Skip the dishes has blocked me from contacting customer service, when I've had a legitimate reason to file complaints. There is also no phone number to reach them otherwise so I am unable to complain. Is this even legal ive stopped and switched to uber eats and haven't had a single problem with them so far. But someone tell me please is that legal.?
I ordered my food and once it arrived I was waiting outside at the curb (as i ordered it to my school and I was the only one outside). It said that the driver has arrived with my order. I was outside for 20min while the guy is "waiting for me". I freeze my hands for another 10min waiting for the guy and he cancels my order and says "couldn't reach customer". I contacted support and they said that they can't do anything and it was my fault. I'm dumbfounded! I'm guessing that the delivery guy is probably enjoying the food right now while I starve for the whole day and miss 20min of class. This company is horrible and I DONT recommend it's to anyone. Ubereats and Doordash are much better!
I had made an order and it was going to the wrong address, I had tried to message them about it but they said they could not do anything to help me, so now I'm out $50 with no food!
I'll keep this one short.
Placed an order for some energy drinks and wrote in the notes specifically don't pick the nonsugar versions. I received a call saying they were out of Nos and Full Throttle and told them that was ok, can you please swap the drinks for the Monsters and described them as the black can with the green claw marks. Not only did I receive white cans, but also the nonsugar variant, they did issue a refund so I can order again.
I then placed an order for Boston Pizza, instead of ordering more drinks as this is not the first time I've asked for a refund on Energy Drinks, and my order was never delivered. When contacting support they did issue a refund again but now I have no idea if the food was left outside somewhere, never delivered, or what happened, so now I have no idea if I'll have coyotes outside my place later as they said it is impossible for them to contact their curious.
I might as well sign up to be a Skip The Dishes Driver as there seems to be no way to stop your curious from stealing other peoples orders. Make money, and never deliver the food. Sounds like a sweet deal to me.

Avoid this site. It is good when it works but my god if you have anything wrong with your order (which happens often) there support staff is useless.

Skip deliver down town and does not notify when its arrived. They give refunds as skip credits when requested for it to be put back on the card. When they do skip credit watch your bank statements. Bought once, refunded by skip credit and not by purchase method, when I look at the statements I was charged 3 times over multiple days of them "trying to sort it out"...and given skip credit once (I.e. Paid three times for an equal value of skip credits...will not accept as they just keep scamming and making charges with out authorization. STOP SKIPPING ON DELIVERY SKIP, AND LEAVE MY CREDIT CARD ALONE WITHOUT AUTHORIZATION. 1 STAR TO SKIP THE DISHES 5 STAR IF THEY WERE HONEST AND CALLED SCAM THE DISHES

My family has used Skip for a few weeks now and after two failed experiences where both times the order never actually showed up (skip credits were refunded) and tonight I decided to use the last credits added from poor service. I ordered from a local pizza place that I know has top service and packaging, and waited for my order at my door when I saw they were close. Then I received a text message stating my order was delivered when it wasn't. I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt amd took a walk to check my neighbours front steps and did not see my order at all. Then I proceeded to give my feedback on my app…… this is what bothers me the most. The feedback options fall on the restaurant " provide feeedback on the restaurant" ie. Missing items - poor packaging - did not follow directions - other
I have no complaints about the restaurant. There is absolutely no accountability for drivers. There is no transparency, you get a name and that's it. You have no way of actually connecting with the driver. The driver didn't even call me as most would if they had difficulty finding your place. But each time my order did not arrive, no phone call. Drovers are stealing items or clicking time and hours without doing their actual job.
Chat support is a joke, you speak with a bit the entire time.

I work for a restaurant and these ppl are the rudest ppl ever think they can go ahead of everyone else. If they wait for food they walk out without getting food. They lean on our front counter when we need to serve other people we can't because they are right there we have a table set up where they are supposed to stand at. Where do they not understand there is a bad virus going around they shouldn't be leaning on the counter where peoples food go out. And if they wait to long they say we don't get paid for this they are not pizza delivery people it's not free in 30 minutes they still get paid plus tips and sometimes they will yell at us we can't help it if we are waiting on food or under staffed. I had one delivery guy have an order ready and stood there 15 minutes waiting for another order while the other people's food was getting cold now that's just plain rude. I've worked for my restaurant for 30 years and have never served people so rude with no patience. If they don't like waiting they have the wrong job.
This company is useless. This is the second time I have placed and order, had the driver pick up my order, and then CANCEL my order without delivering my food. The customer service is absolutely terrible, and do not talk to you over the phone. I had deal with 3 different incompetent people over the chat that they use to communicate. I ordered food from skip the dishes and they said that my food was delivered. I did not get my food and when i explained to their customer service line, they explained to me that there was nothing they could do and they could not refund my money or give me a new order because they had receive too many request for refunds. My food said that it was delivered and i did not get it. They have drivers who are stealing peoples food and they dont care about it because they're still getting paid and they dont care about customer satisfaction. WORST COMPANY, WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE. Horrible cusotmer service. Jasdeep cheema was particularly unhelpful and horrible. Placed my order and then immediately requested to cancel it I was denied because the girl I got for customer service was super slow, by the time she got to my request the restaurant wouldn't cancel.
So I had a $10 off email off that they send to you when you don't use their service for long enough and when I went to use it I had to set up my new payment method and then the offer disappeared. (WIthout warning, almost paid full price)
I then contacted support and they could only offer to give me $10 credit after my next order. This would mean that to use the $10 credit, I would have to pay full price for 1 order and then have to order again to use the credit. To me this is unacceptable to pay an extra $10 when the purpose of the email offer was to give me $10 off.
I switched to door dash long ago for customer service and courier reasons and only ever come back to skip when they give me a good offer, even then it proves to be a terrible experience. 0/10.
Edit: the courier issue has been that they simply must not read the delivery directions half the time, not being able to follow simple instructions (ie basement apartment, not upstairs...) To be fair I've had this issue ONCE on door dash and it was solved using the driver/courier communication system they have.

Worst customer service ever! Not only did they get my order wrong - but the driver couldn't find my house (very easy to find) and when he called me and I directed him he hung up on me!
When I chatted with support to let them know my order was wrong in multiple ways they refused to refund the delivery and only the additional items that were missing - not the main items - when I tried to explain more they ended the chat and that was that - no more contact.
EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED - will NEVER order from them again!

I've ordered from the same restaurant locations through both apps Skip and Uber.
Skip drivers take forever to pick up order.
If you want speedy service and hot meal, Uber is the way to go.
The restaurant has the food ready to go but it takes skip the dishes an additional 50 minutes to get to the restaurant. Therefore the food is inedible when you finally receive it (if ever).
Skip the dishes delivered to someone else. Then went and delivered it to me after dropping it off at someone else's house. During a pandemic. That should never happen. Never happen.

Just go to the restaurant yourself or deliver straight from the restaurant
