Many vendors provided stale food and when Skip was advised they did not care to address the issue or refund the money. There are limits to their refund, despite the driver or the restaurant being at fault. Why should the customer lose? Buyer beware.
I had a promo for $20 off one order. When I tried to place an order, the promo code would not show up. After placing the order, customer service said they'd only give me $20 CREDIT rather than $20 REFUND, and said I'd have to place another order to use said credit. Such a slimy, dishonest way to make people place TWO orders in order to get the $20 instead of just allowing them to use it on the first order, as the promo advertised. Deleting the app and never using this crap company again, too shady for my liking.
I've been using these guys since they first started the last year they have been completely useless. Everytime I order food it takes 2 hours to be delivered. I tried experiementing when I was suspected that they deliberately do this when not tipped. When I tip the delivery shows up on time or a little late. When I don't the app magically says "we are experiencing record highs for service". Sure you are. So I don't tip today and yet again it's says the record high thing and takes 2.5 hours to be delivered and right before the delivery skip has the audacity to send me a text with a link directing me to a website that says "guide to tipping". I also found out from people that work there that the drivers do see whether you tipped or not and have permission to not take the order if they feel it doesn't pay enough money. If Skip ever see's this: this is why I don't tip, would you tip your server at a restaurant before you were serviced? No. I'm not tipping you for delivering missing items and being late. Also I'm pretty sure you are wasting the restaurants money and time making them remake orders you refuse to pick up on time. If your drivers weren't arrogant and lazy, I would tip them at the door for a job well done.

I have never dealt with such a non-helpful, difficult individual in the service or food industry.
We ordered two meals on January 14/2022. The site showed the order's progress, I received 3 text messages saying my order was about to arrive, which in the end didn't. I went to the site help chat and explained what happened. They confirmed to me the order was not, in the end, delivered, and that it would take about 10 days to refund my money. I was so upset that I asked why so long, when Skip TheDishes is so fast to charge for each order. At that point, the person in the chat disconnected me. It seems in the end they cancelled the charge. But this is still not good. When we order food is because we are hungry and don't have the time to wait any longer for another order, or to cook. I haven't received any messages from Skip TheDishes. If the order was delivered somewhere else, that person enjoyed it free of charge while we were waiting. Skip the Dishes needs to be more effective and better be able to control their deliveries. We ordered from a small restaurant because we wanted to try their food and benefit them. That was not possible.
My order came in with missing food orders. Skipthedishes clearly charges food item costs upfront and ask customers to tip the driver up ahead of delivery however their service is unreliable when times like this occasion occur. When i inquire to refund the items that i didn't received, they immediately refund the money as skipthedishes instore credit, which i did not asked for so i had to chat up with the online chat bots. When requested full money refund, chat bot or the person from skipthedishes warned process will take longer than 10 business days, which in my opinion is another scare tactics of keeping customers money in their store credits. Above all when i submit them the comments of future check the delivery items prior departing from restaurant, bot or the person choose not to reply. There wasn't a sorry note through out the complain process nor the compensations for the discomfort. In real life note i should get refunded of 10% tips of the food item I didn't received that i paid to the delivery person before the order arrive to the house. I reckon all future customers or the possible next victims to look elsewhere.

Ordered food. App said it was delivered and no food. Terrible customer service when rectifying the problem. They couldn't reach the driver and had no idea where my food was. What a joke. NEVER AGAIN!
Asked for contactless delivery and the driver called wanting me to come out. When I said No they labeled delivered and took off. I contacted help chat and they were just as rude as driver
Everyhting else is better thn skip the dishes. It is the worst app for ordeing food. No refunds if the food is not delivered. What the hell i mean its my money nd giving it for something i havnt received is total wasteage. Not recommend at all

Still had to pay for the service + taxes even though they got my order entirely wrong. + had to fight with customer service for a tiny refund. Delete the app and go with uber eat instead.
I never received my order, I don't understand why they have contact less delivery, Covid is over long time ago, I don't know this driver Rinesh delivered my food to who's door step, now I've started to call the restaurants for delivery and it's way cheaper then skip the dish, I would recommend ordering directly from the restaurants, it gets delivered at the door and food are handed over to your hands instead just left on doorstep like skip the dish does
Worse service ever! The driver picked up my order then parked in the same spot for 35 minutes. The place I ordered from is a 5 minutes drive from my house.
Our food did not show up and after many chats they just stopped responding. If there is a screw up at least make up for it. Not responding is incredibly frustrating.
I use skip the dishes a lot and the past few times I haven't gotten all items, or I've received wrong items or just missing items in general and I get refunded with credits which is nuts. I also notice over the past year or so the drivers are getting ruder and not friendly whatsoever. Y should I automatically tip drivers and then get crapph service and customer service is terrible to report 1 issue the chat disconnects or the agent disconnects without explaining. It's getting really really bad now and needs to be nipped in the butt. I understand skip the dishes hires anyone and mostly new people to Canada but in customer service you need to reliable,communicate in English and be polite. Is this to much to ask for? Not all are like this don't get me wrong. There are restaurants I order from and the same drivers come and they are always pleasant. If u can see my account look how much I have literally spent over the year or so and now look how many times it's because of bad service. Also i received a driver the other day and I asked are u this person? No I'm driving under my wife's account. Seriously this has to stop because this guy completed my drop off after an hour of him being there.
I hope you guys take this seriously because I work at Amazon and a lot of people have switched to going to get there own food or just using a different method. And there is a lot of employees there.youd think you would want them happy

I placed an order through skip the dishes. Minutes later, while I was on a call, someone called me from an unknown number. I did not answer because 1, I was on another call and 2, a lot of spam calls use unknown numbers. When I was done with my initial call (which was less than a minute from when the unknown caller called) I called the unknown number and it turned out to be skip the dishes. They answered and I replied someone tried to call me. They checked and confirmed that they ran out of 1 item and since they couldn't get a hold of me, they decided to cancel the item and refund me for the item. I then asked them if they could replace the item with another item since the estimated time of delivery was not for another half hour. They said they couldn't replace the item since the refund was already issued. I asked them if I were to place a new order for a new item (for my guest) if they could refund me the delivery fee. They said they couldn't and ended the conversation. Very unprofessional and rude. This is how they make their money. Knowing people will not answer unknown calls, they take the opportunity to cancel the partial order so customers can place a new order for the missing item and get charged the delivery fee AGAIN!. I've been a loyal customer to skip and this is how they treat them. Well guess what, they just lost a loyal customer.

My "secure" account was hacked and the scammers changed the default language so I couldn't even understand it. They also changed the city, address and phone number. Finally, they placed a huge order in my name. I watched on the app, the little car drive towards this address as I frantically searched the web for Skip's phone number. Yeah good luck finding that. I finally got a chat going, but the bot (sadly not a human) wasn't fast enough to stop the delivery, and the payment went through. Through the bot, I was able to attain the phone #, followed by countless useless calls and emails. I could never reach the same employee twice and ended up talking to 8 different people. They kept assuring me that my privacy and satisfaction was of their utmost priority, though in the end, after a day of back and forth, in the end refused my refund. "For my security, they don't keep my credit card on file so they can't apply the refund to my credit card"? The hacker had no problem finding my credit cars! Nice "security". I offered to give Skip my credit card number so they could apply the credit to it and they said no! What!? Further, how could they possibly deny a refund after THEY suspending my account for suspicious activity? THEY'RE the ones who notified me of this suspicious activity in the first place! I'm out a whole lot of money and a full day of my life I'll never get back, talking to these useless employees.
Do yourself a favour and DELETE YOUR APP IMMEDIATELY! Or don't download it in the first place!
PLEASE USE DOORDASH INSTEAD OF SKIP. THEY WILL LITERALLY DROP YOUR ORDER WITHOUT YOU RECEIVING AND REFUSE TO GIVE YOUR MONEY BACK. The worst customer service I've ever seen, I always order something and something is always missing when you complain to them they think you after the money!
I've been a regular skip the dishes customer since 2014/2015. There have been a handful of orders over that span where we were either provided with partially inedible orders, or had items missing outright. I recently was informed that my account was suspended due to "multiple refunds". So essentially, because they've offered over the years to refund parts of a few orders, that I've essentially been flagged as a bad customer. Unbelievable. I've literally been a regular user of skip for years now, dumped thousands of dollars into the business, and this is how they treat me when a few orders aren't up to par? Just dumbfounded and furious that this is how I've been labeled and treated. For the record, most of these "refunds" were in "Skip Credits" meaning they're only good if you USE and ORDER from skip again. Secondly, in most of these few circumstances I was OFFERED a partial refund in Skip credits for the affected items. I didn't ask. Furious with this company right now. Unreal. Hello Uber and Deliverr. Goodbye Skip the Dishes and good riddance.

Something is always wrong with the order and the company doesn't care. Such a rip off. Service is not polite. Clearly this company only cares about making money n not about the customers
I never use Skip. I was only going to use it because I was gifted a $100 gift card otherwise, I don't even use Skip. I went on the website to ask why it doesn't show on my profile even though I redeemed it. The guy told me how to redeem it even thought he first thing I told him is that I already redeemed it and it's not showing. Then he told me to clear my cache which still didn't work. I told him it didn't work and he told me to email customer support. I thought that's why I was chatting with him... He said that's all he could do on his end. So I emailed customer support and basically they told me that after I purchase an order, the credit will show up. So I asked "so I have to purchase something before I can use a gift card?" And the guy didn't reply to me. What a joke. First of all, I don't even use this app, I'm only using it cause of the gift card and now I have to spend my own money before I can even use the gift card? Skip has a terrible selection, terrible customer service, and stupid system.

I don't drive, so when my poor husband had his wisdom teeth removed and was in too much pain to go grab take-out (and I was busy taking care of both a baby and my toddler at home) I begrudgingly decided to order from skip-the-dishes for dinner despite SEVERAL experiences of the food not arriving, or showing up late and cold, or having food missing from my order (as well as my son's happy meal toys missing), or terrible customer service, or the driver saying the food was delivered and it wasn't, or the driver leaving my food outside my apartment building despite being given instructions (how dare they ask for tips!), I could go on but anyways! I sat there waiting for 45 minutes for 2 happy meals and a coffee to arrive only to receive NOTHING! The driver lied and said the order was delivered. My poor child almost went to bed hungry, my husband had to drive out to mcdonald's in pain from his tooth removal, UNBELEIVABLE! When I contacted customer service they gave me nothing but scripts and repeated stupid lines of apology. No real action. They suck at refunds aswell. Can we please all band together and get them shut down? (Forgot to mention, several times the driver will state that they're "on the way" with your food, when the tracker shows them to be elsewhere, hence the cold food)

Prepare to be extremely dissapointed, frustrated, hungry, and possibly to lose your money. Even if your order goes through, you'll pat atleast $10 more for delivery.
