Many vendors provided stale food and when Skip was advised they did not care to address the issue or refund the money. There are limits to their refund, despite the driver or the restaurant being at fault. Why should the customer lose? Buyer beware.
I had a promo for $20 off one order. When I tried to place an order, the promo code would not show up. After placing the order, customer service said they'd only give me $20 CREDIT rather than $20 REFUND, and said I'd have to place another order to use said credit. Such a slimy, dishonest way to make people place TWO orders in order to get the $20 instead of just allowing them to use it on the first order, as the promo advertised. Deleting the app and never using this crap company again, too shady for my liking.
Every time we order we have cold and smashed food besides taking too long to be delivered but the worse is always we are charged more than we should and we dont get what we ordered... I complained 2 times and no one returned so I guess the driver dont care and the owner got already too rich and is not worried about all these complaints so please order directly with the restaurant..
I use this all the time to order from Subway. There used to be a section where I could leave instructions for my order. Now, they've taken out this feature, so any changes I need have to be phoned in directly to the restaurant. Having worked in restaurants for years, I can tell you that the last thing cooks need to be doing (or have time for), is answering the phone through busy times. I don't understand why this feature was removed but it's a pain in the arse.
I registered as a courier with Skip The Dishes and they requested me to pay for background check plus thermal bag. Which both had cost me $79.9. I did not receive my thermal bag in the mail, nor they proceeded with my application. Their customer service simply does not exist. It's a scam, don't fall for it.

They stopped sending it though as per the non contact they rely on that instead of getting rid of a health hazard
They in general dont call dont even text and then they leave you with the wrong order

We placed an order the other night and they just... didn't... bother with a couple of important items. So when we got in touch about the order they basically just said, 'Meh, too bad...' and said they would 'refund' us.
I got an email a day or so later saying our 'refund' had gone through and saw that it wasn't exactly a refund at all. It was a 'Skip' credit. I don't know what I'm supposed to do with that, I'll never use them again- they're terrible. I made it clear I had no intention of using them again as well, so this little credit was just an extra slap in the face, I guess.
Anyway, the whole experience was really disrespectful and just a pain in the $#*!.
They can keep their 'Skip' credit, we'll move on.
Frequently messed up orders… have a monopoly on most delivery now. No access restaurants specials bc they have a set menu. Have jumped through all the hoops to cancel my subscription but they keep charging my credit card 9.99 a month. Help
I have enjoyed skip the dishes for many years and never had a problem, however tonight I did not receive my food. I figured it might have just been delivered to the wrong house accidentally since I live in a condo complex and all the houses look the same so I sent in a refund request. It was denied because I had apparently made too many refund requests, even though this would be my first time in 3 years ever requesting a refund. I contacted support twice and was brushed aside and unheard. I will never be using this service again after this and I would encourage others to look to other options. When we started with Skip during covid generally good service a couple of minor hiccups nothing major but lately we had 3 out of 4 deliveries that where ridiculous we give detailed information building name landmarks etc. first it was delivered to the school across the street next time to the building next door wrong address wrong name on building the last straw they supposedly delivered our food did use intercom to contact us (which we always supply) checked all 3 entrances no food contacted Skip help all we were told they delivered the food nothing else this was after a 70 minute wait in a town that everything is 20 minutes away. Definitely the drivers do not read instructions or do not understand. We know everybody has a bad day but when 3 out 4 it's bad employees.

I've had no problems with order accuracy and delivery. But one order was cancelled before restaurant acceptance, and they still charged my credit card. They offered a refund in the form of skipthedishes credit but that's unacceptable. Credit cards should not be charged until order is completed (delivered).
After not ordering from here for over a year I decided to give them a try since door dash site was down, and they had my wrong address in the field. First why would I put a different address and it won't allow me to delete it. Customer service is horrible one guy ended our chat while we were still talking. They took no responsibility for their system glitching. Boycotting skip and will be telling my close one the same thing. Screw this company. Scam
I paid $24 for a pizza and crazy bread from Little Cesar's tonight. My order was never delivered. I contacted SkipTheDishes and they refused to give me my order or my money. I ended up calling Little Cesar's and bought the same thing from them which they had a delivery company deliver to me and they charged $12.10 for the exact same order.

How can a delivery service survive if they take your money and never deliver? They refunded my money but I was forced to pay the driver's tip and delivery fee and taxes! Why should I tip the driver for stealing my food? Skip the! Dishes are responsible because they hired the thieves

Whenever I order skip the dishes it always takes over a hour and half to get to me when the restaurant times are 22-33 minutes I know it's not the drivers fault either because they don't have that many this company needs to stop saying fast and fresh because by the time the food gets to me it's cold and soggy
Ordered $150 of food for my kids birthday - GPS said it was on its way,. It never came, we didn't get a call, when we called them they said it's up to them and they aren't going to re-attempt to deliver and hung up on us - we called back - they hung up - I emailed - no response - I tried to chat - they dropped the chat... not sure how this is good business, but they do not care. It seems like it should be illegal what they've done, so much for loyalty and customer service. Horrible
So twice now they have delivered to a completely different address. Saying it was my fault when I literally just had them deliver food here not even 6 hours ago at 4am due to being in pain I ordered some aspirin and a coffee. Offered only 50% of funds. Don't use skip they're incompetent and don't know what their doing. Will besically repeat themselves till you give up or give in.

Took my 82 dollars from my account then sent me to an error page. Highway robbery, $#*!tiest of the delivery services. Would much rather use UBER eats, and i will be from here on out. Last time I make that mistake.
I'm currently on a shift right now and I've received 3 orders in 3 hours sitting at $21. If you are thinking of becoming a delivery driver for a part time job I highly recommend door dash. Anytime I reach out to skips support team it's an automated response that offers no help. They do not care about you at all. Also there gps tracking is usually incorrect, so the order might say a 4.2km total distance but in reality it's almost double that. Don't work for skip you will lose money and be treated poorly. Hope this helps anyone looking for insight to what it really means to drive for skip.
My neighbour ordered McDonald's for her son's Birthday. It was contactless delivery and was delivered to the laundry room door of the building which is basically the basement, around the side of the building, which no one uses except to do laundry. I noticed it around 2 hours after delivery. I told my neighbour and she had already had an argument on the phone with Skip the Dishes and they were going to do nothing for her.
Delivery services in this town suck big time. It's about time someone made them accountable for their sub-standard services.
Ordered food during a major power outage in montreal. Took over 1 hr. For a nearby mcdonalds (2km away). Only received part of the order. And food was left outside... and cold. I wrote to them since no tel. Number is given. Their answer: will give you 5$ credit on next purchase. Only problem is: will never order from them again. Try uber eats or doordash. Safer.

Skip was awesome in the beginning but it got way too pricey plus the drivers get verbally angry when you don't tip but some ppl don't have enough money to afford anything extra on top of ridiculous fees lmao unfortunately will be deleting the app.
Ordered watched driver showed it was a few blocks away then received messages order was canceled for no reason. Waited an hour to get nothing. Called the office waist of time. Deleted the skip app now only going to use Uber eats. Good job skip your lack of customer service just lost you a customer and be sure I will let anyone that listens you suck!
I ordered food. It was stolen by the courier. When I told skip this they said it was out if their control and it was my problem. Refused to even help me or give me my money back. They are scammers who not only steal money but your good too. They need to be shut down.

Ordered food and paid for it. A white car parked in the driveway with loud music. By the time i opened the garage door it had disappeared. No one rang the bell, no food left outside. He just got to the address to show on his gps but never delivered the food. Contacted them to see what's going on, the answer was « sorry there is nothing we could do. We'll follow up with the driver » never heard from them. I didn't want a refund, i simply wanted my food.
No refund no food. I'm calling visa tomorrow.
Do yourself a favor DO NOT use them or if u must, make sure u pay after delivery, even in this pandemic situation.

Twice in the last month a delivery had taken 3 hours... the food came completely inedible and soggy. The best they could give me was 50% refund and $5 credit. The food went in the garbage. I essentially paid money to stay hungry and be pissed off. Other providers such as doordash/Ubereats have given me full refunds no questions asked on smaller issues. **** skip the dishes.
