Many vendors provided stale food and when Skip was advised they did not care to address the issue or refund the money. There are limits to their refund, despite the driver or the restaurant being at fault. Why should the customer lose? Buyer beware.
I had a promo for $20 off one order. When I tried to place an order, the promo code would not show up. After placing the order, customer service said they'd only give me $20 CREDIT rather than $20 REFUND, and said I'd have to place another order to use said credit. Such a slimy, dishonest way to make people place TWO orders in order to get the $20 instead of just allowing them to use it on the first order, as the promo advertised. Deleting the app and never using this crap company again, too shady for my liking.
Useless, can't even issue a proper refund when an order is messed up really $#*!ty service. I do not recommend them at all always problems.

I ordered a meal from McDonald's through skip the dishes The meal arrived end it was absolutely disgusting not cooked so on and so forth I contacted McDonald's who sent me a letter stating that I had to go through skip the dishes and not them which I thought was odd considering it was the restaurant that screwed up but because they have a contract with skip the dishes this is who I have to go through so I did (what a joke)
So I contact skip the dishes as directed by McDonald's after numerous conversations with them telling me in order to receive a full refund I would have to go through skip the dishes... skip the dishes then proceeds to tell me that there is no way they're giving me a full refund that I only get 50% that's their new policy because of the pandemic I question them why only 50% because of the pandemic I didn't get a response other than that's how it is and I said so you get to keep half my money for some thing I didn't receive she says yes that is our policy I said well I was told by the restaurants head office that I would receive a full refund... no only 50% take it or leave it! I did ask her what you're paying the pandemic 50% where is this money going I said that's my money the next response was no 50% so I took the 50% and now with my time I am going to let people know what a scam these people are!

I've placed orders to Burger King multiple times always receive it cold but we're always dropped off at the wrong doors this time I had the experience where I did not receive my order at all when contacting customer service on chat because they have no actual operator to talk to I was told I will not be getting a refund at work hard for my money I did not get a refund I think this is the worst service possible you're better off to go out and pick up your own food They do not deserve people service when doing this kind of stuff I also have security cameras showing at 10:43 PM no food is arrived to my door you see the driver in a white car You see the driver stop but go to the next house and deliver the food after reviewing the camera it was delivered to the wrong house when communicating with the chat people since you cannot get ahold of an operator they told me there's nothing they can do I will not be getting a refund and and it's my problem Even I sent the proof of cameras they still keep the repeat copy and paste they're sending message on the chat horrible service I don't recommend to anybody! Sad that I ordered a pizza after not receiving any food so in total $25 Burger King are you in a paying $50 after ordering pizzanova but at least the old school delivery guy found my home and delivered it

You know, when it comes to customer service, courier driver named "Bryan" had failed. I have my work and my home address on my skip app and the app had populated my work address instead of my home address. "Bryan" had called me telling me he's at my work address. I told him to please bring my order to my home address and I would make it worth his while. He says "no he can't do that. That he is going to leave my order on the front step of my work so he can complete the order. Its not his error nor his fault" i said can you please bring my order back to the restaurant and I will have uber pick up my order" he said " no he can't because he has to complete his order" I lost my temper and and said it was ridiculous for him to leave an order for the entire weekend at an empty building. He said "its not his fault" A skip representative, who is very pleasant, wanted to resolve this for me and she would have the driver bring my order to my home address. I appreciated that and thanked her. That was at 8:30pm and its now 10:06 pm and no order had arrived! SO LET ME GET THIS STRAIGHT. I LOST MY ORDER, I LOST MY MONEY AND BRYAN KEPT MY ORDER! DO I GET A REFUND?! Hey Skip, you should have an "Address Verification" pop-up on your app and hire "service excellence" drivers. Oh, and I will also cut and paste on Google Reviews!

Skip the dishes doesnt make their employees wear a mask which is wrong, shame on you skip you're part of the reason for all this covid.
We ordered our food and it never arrived, then we found out that it was delivered to the wrong address so we called and they said that they can't get us a refund. DO NOT GET SKIP, IT SUCKS.

WORST FOOD DELIVERY APP
SkipTheDishes is great... as long as there are no issues with your order. We did a recent order from Jet Sushi in Halifax on August 7. Our driver was lost... we could see him going around and around on the GPS, even pulled around into our parking lot, and out again. So I messaged skip knowing full well that it would be a fight because we all know the customer service is terrible. I was messaging with the first agent, Anita, who claimed that she contacted the driver and he would be here shortly. She then left the chat. I proceeded to message and another agent took over. This time I said enough is enough... the driver had been driving around at this point with our sushi for an hour. I requested a refund and was told no... I pushed back and was told the skip credits would be in our account. Two days later I checked and no credits. I messaged again asking where our credit was... keep in mind this was a $63 bill. The first agent claimed there was no record of the conversation and that the sushi was showing as delivered. And he left the chat. Another agent took over, Obi, and said he would review the file. He came back and said that he would ensure that the credits were in our account. I mistakenly thanked him, but did learn by this point to always send the transcript of any conversation with skip to your email. A few minutes later we did get a credit... for 5 bucks. I proceeded to email skip directly and of course no one has responded. How this company is even allowed to stay in business I will never know but I do know that we will never, ever use skip again. Use DoorDash or UberEats... At least they care about their customers.

Allow for tipping of restaurants as well as courier. It is unfair that the full tip goes to courier with nothing going to the cook.
So you don't really know what the rating is for a restaurant when Skip is removing them. Don't trust the reviews
