Many vendors provided stale food and when Skip was advised they did not care to address the issue or refund the money. There are limits to their refund, despite the driver or the restaurant being at fault. Why should the customer lose? Buyer beware.
I had a promo for $20 off one order. When I tried to place an order, the promo code would not show up. After placing the order, customer service said they'd only give me $20 CREDIT rather than $20 REFUND, and said I'd have to place another order to use said credit. Such a slimy, dishonest way to make people place TWO orders in order to get the $20 instead of just allowing them to use it on the first order, as the promo advertised. Deleting the app and never using this crap company again, too shady for my liking.
This is the second time my order was said to be delivered and was not.
This is terrible over 50 dollars
1. The drivers spilt your order delivery time many times with other orders and your food gets to you cold and unpleasant.
2. The support team gaslights you into believing that you are wrong when you try to place a complaint about an incorrect delivery or missing items.
3. The support team asks how you want your refund applied, but send you the skip credits before you can answer. This is their way of prompting you to either reorder your food but pay a new delivery and fee and tip, or come back to use up your measly amount of refunded credits.
4. The support team ends the chat on you when you call them out on their scammy behaviour or they straight up get into an altercation with you.
5. Don't get me started on the drivers delivering my food to the wrong house and yelling at me for not putting my complete address. They rarely read the instruction notes or read your complete address and if you live in a unit and your address also has a number in it, good $#*!en luck trying to get your food to the right unit. They never read past the first number to get to the unit number...
6. One order took so long to deliver because the driver grabbed more than one order and I legit made butter chicken and coconut rice 15 minutes into my order being on its way and was dishing food out for my family when the order actually arrived.
It's not a good thing when you have to make your own dinner while waiting for your dinner to get delivered cause your family is hungry and you're watching your driver go in the opposite direction of your house this is a cumulative complaint of about 3-4 years of absolute foolishness. I give up now; I'll just do pick up through the restaurant or slap a dish in my instant pot
This company is terrible time and time again. They are incompetent. Will never use again. Out of all of the delivery companies thwy are the worst

The delivery driver stole our dinner, & Skip won't credit our account the $ so I can reorder our dinner. I confirmed with the restaurant the order was packed by the MANAGER correctly and sealed. Our bag was delivered OPENED & missing our dinners! We only received our wings. I love Fergus and Bix. Awesome place! I am disgusted by how we have been treated by Skip though. Next time i will call the restaurant directly and just pick up our food.

Over the last year, Skip the dishes has continued to go downhill and FAST. Do the bother using them. Use one of the other much better quality and rated services if u need a food delivery services.
The support side of this company is a complete joke. Had an appointment call after 100s of emails and still... nothing. Who is the boss?
Fees, fees and more fees. I've had issues and there is either a) a chat option that times out after you've been waiting for 10 minutes due to "inactivity" (what?) every. Single. Time. OR - no chat option, no phone number, no way to contact.
Insanely rude employees (via chat, if you are fortunate to get there count on being OOPS! Signal failed). In the last instance I was missing a meal for my kid! Who is SIX. If I had ordered food for myself I would have gladly given it to her, no big deal. But we had only ordered for the kids. THAT was a fun night.
The restaurant told me I could go pick up her order that was missing (UMMMM - I just paid over 10 bucks all in for delivery when I'm literally a 2 minute drive away, if I could have gone to pick it up I would have in the first place). Otherwise, it was on SKIP. And I was responsible for getting credit from them for my missing items.
When I FINALLY found a way to tell them I was missing an order, I was offered HALF of what it was! WHAT? But they do say that the restaurant is responsible for making sure the orders are correct.
So - the restaurant (if you can call it that - McDonalds and a HUGE F U to them as well) massive conglomerate, $#*! food, wouldn't do a thing. I called and emailed corporate because I thought of COURSE a company that large that is currently charging 15 dollars for a burger meal would want to at least acknowledge this. BIG FAT NOPE. These are different times. Nobody seems to give 2 poops about whether you are happy or not.
DoorDash is even worse in some ways, but that's another story. I switched from them to SKIP - now I'm giving up and bulk ordering pre prepared meals.
Yes, it's a necessity for us for various reasons. I'm just so beside myself about how little anyone seems to care about fairness and customer service these days.
1) Total number of guests- 2 pax
2) Time- 11:45 am (Lunch)
3) Guest Welcome- Average- the server didn't have a smile or happy attitude, she didn't introduce herself upon our arrival and gave only one menu to share! Upon request she got another menu and mentioned that due to Covid-19 they are not reusing the menus (printed menus were filled in the plastic file pockets. In my opinion it could have been easily reused if wiped down with sanitizer and reused to save paper and plastic use).
4) Meals ordered- a) Yellow fin Tuna Cheese salad and b) Spaghetti Alfredo with chicken breast.
A) The salad had just the right amount of oil and vinegar in it. It didn't taste over the top with the vinegar. Adding a bit of black pepper enhances the taste of the tomatoes in the salad(you can request the server to bring you some black pepper). Tuna tasted very good!
B) The Alfredo sauce lacked flavor and the spaghetti got pretty dry after a few morsel. Requested the server to get some extra Alfredo. It took almost 10-12 mins mins for the Alfredo sauce to be made and the spaghetti turned more dry and cold in the meanwhile. The extra Alfredo sauce served tasted bitter (excess parmesan cheese was added to the sauce). This was disappointing! The chicken was an add on and was grilled right. It was soft and juicy!
The best part of the visit was the complimentary bread served at the beginning of the meal. It was soft and warm. The butter immediately melted and intensified the flavor of the bread.
5) Restaurant Ambiance- Overall very clean and peaceful. Lunch was not very busy. Since it was a business meeting we had a good environment to discuss matters.
6) Overall - Average experience as compared to other visits.
How this company remains in business is beyond me. Absolutely horrible customer service.
If I ran my business this way, I wouldn't have one.
