Many vendors provided stale food and when Skip was advised they did not care to address the issue or refund the money. There are limits to their refund, despite the driver or the restaurant being at fault. Why should the customer lose? Buyer beware.
I had a promo for $20 off one order. When I tried to place an order, the promo code would not show up. After placing the order, customer service said they'd only give me $20 CREDIT rather than $20 REFUND, and said I'd have to place another order to use said credit. Such a slimy, dishonest way to make people place TWO orders in order to get the $20 instead of just allowing them to use it on the first order, as the promo advertised. Deleting the app and never using this crap company again, too shady for my liking.
The Food Delivered To Me Was Incorrectly Cooked. Basically Raw. This Is A Health Issue. I was told no refund now or in the future ever.

The people that deliver the food not so great either
I've been using skip for about 2 years and never have a good experience with them. They also need to hire customer service reps.
Ordered KFC for my father in longterm care. Order late. Courier called and left me a vm but no message just dead air. I called the courier's number. Answers but says nothing even though it's clear a person is there. Very creepy. Delivery was late and there is no way to deal directly with Skip. When their service works it's fine. When it does not you are 100% screwed.
I am only so angry because I have been using skip for years and quite frequently at that. When something accidentally goes wrong, such as an order doesn't arrive or is never even placed to the restaurant I would think this would be a simple communication with them to be refunded. NOPE, I've heard this from others but didn't think much of it since it hadn't happened to me. They ignore emails, and in the customer help chat the man quickly stated that they are unable to refund because restaurant confirmed order then he quickly left chat before I could reply ( this being after I called the restaurant and they confirmed no order was received from skip) Very disappointing knowing how simple it is from experience to provide appropriate customer service. They are happy to take your money and ignore you when entire orders are not received. I will only be ordering through Uber eats from now on, enjoy my donated money Skip!
I went to go cancel my order before the restaurant had to confirm my order because it said I was waiting over an hour once I finally got connected with an agent they said it was already confirmed. Therefore they cannot cancel my order. It's not my fault or any consumers issue that they don't have enough staff to handle the chat volume anyone that uses the chat will notice that the key will be high, but will come down fast. However, that agent is handling multiple chat windows, therefore while you think you're timing he was short you end up spending a lot of time waiting for their response because they're handling multiple chats at one time
Skip the Dishes have either stolen money from my account or they have serious security issues. Either way they won't deal with it and just say "contact your bank." I see online now that it has happened to other people. I haven't used them in over a year because the service is NOT good. A different person every time. They never know how to find the house although the instructions are clear. Late and cold food.
I never got my order and they would only offer me a 50% skip credit refund. Wouldn't even put it back on my card. Agent left the conversation before I was even done talking with him. Now I kind of want to get a job doing "customer service" at skip because by the looks of all the other reviews, you get paid to do literally nothing! They don't even do customer service over the phone, which speaks volumes.
Anyway, they stole my money, so I could never recommend this company. Other delivery services are a little more expensive, but you're better off going with them since you at least have more than a 50% chance of getting the food you paid for.
This is the second time in a shorter time frame that an order has just magically disappeared on me. I was shocked to realize that, not only do I have to wait for a refund to be issued via "skip credits," but delivery fees and tips and such are non-refundable. Well, great! You make the mistakes as a company and we pay?! I'd been waiting outside for 20 minutes and I was right on time. As others have mentioned too, many of the drivers don't even speak English. I am so done with Skip. I placed my very last order today, and after this, I will not be paying a premium for orders that go 'magically missing' (ahem someone gets that food, probably).

Please stay away. This company scams consumers out of their money by not accepting accountability for lost or stolen items never delivered to the consumer. If anything, users who submit more than 3 requests for anything at all via chat get blocked. (This has happened to me in the past, when I used to use Skip the Dishes every day and naturally, some orders went missing and Skip blocked me instead of owning up. I had credits on that past account too, now gone). I will never again use Skip. Skip!

I ordered food from Pan pizza and mother India. Fish pacora. The pieces were full of sharp fish bones. One got stuck in my throat I almost choked. When I chat with the customer rep on skip the dishes they even didn't care and said we won't do anything because you asked too many refunds! Such a big lie. Once I got wrong order and missing items on my order they gave me not a refund but credit for next order. The worst customer service I've ever seen.

They have screwed up my orders so many times. Twice I didn't receive food at all, and another 6 or 7 times items were missing. I usually don't ask for help with wrong items as long as they're edible and close-ish to what I ordered. Didn't get a drink this time and they said they couldn't issue any more refunds, as if it was my fault these mistakes were happening. This company is literally the worst I've ever dealt with. Use DoorDash instead.
This company outright lies to its customers. Ordered at 4:30 on 12 May, 2020. 2 hours later still had not received the food. Contacted customer service and was told that the restaurant was behind and I could either wait for the food to be delivered at which point they would review and potentially issue skip credits or I could cancel the order and get a full refund. Another hour passed and fed up I called the restaurant directly only to be told that my order had been waiting since 4:45! Contacted customer service again only to get the same response (scripted copy and paste answers apparently because it was word for word identical). Told them t cancel and refund fully, including driver tip! The level of incompetence is ridiculous. Order #*******. People should definitely not use this company for food delivery... absolutely terrible service
I've ordered a few times with all the different services out there and this one is clearly the worst one. Every time I've ordered, the items have been mostly destroyed or missing; case-in-point, I recently ordered and my food was simply stolen! Gone! They simply said "We hope you continue enjoying skip. Unfortunately we cannot offer you a refund at this time." In my area, this has become quite a common problem. They have a relatively easy and quick support system, it's just that the people who work there can't do anything about your problems.

I will no longer use this company for anything. After multiple items were missing from my order and it took forever to have it delivered…. What we did receive was cold and they refused to do anything. They not only over charge, they also screw up your order. When I contacted support I was given a big FU, your on your own sorry. I strongly recommend using any other service! Skip the dishes is trash.
Drivers have repeatedly failed to deliver. This never happens with other food delivery apps but after waiting 40-60mins+ for your food imagine it not showing up when it shows the driver nearby. They even "mark it as delivered" I don't know how this is possible.
Items have also been missing several times, I noticed this happens mostly when the food is not in tamper proof packaging.
Them giving me a refund for something does not excuse the fact that they are wasting time and fooling around.

Absolutely terrible company. They treat their drivers like garbage, and can't hold onto staff. There is no way to communicate with them when they fail every single time. They blame the restaurants for delays, when in fact they don't have sufficient staff to deliver your order in a timely manner. I officially refuse to ever use this service again.
Terrible wait times, They lie about the delivery time, Support does not care and just do what they are instructed versus what actually solves the situation at hand, sticking to a book rather than being adaptable. This is by far the WORST delivery company. (think uber, etc.)

Always making mistakes and never taking ownership just relaying stupid scripts. Incompetent company and workers. Honestly this company needs to be shut down. I ordered a Big Mac combo and 6 nuggets and received a frappe after waiting over an hr for my food. No apology just a script saying they know I'm disappointed. A refund of my own money not even a $5 courteous credit for their mistake.
I have used this service a number of times for food. Stupid me. Used it for liquor delivery. I had just renewed my license so no photo id BUT I am 64! The delivery driver said no photo id no delivery. I was on phone with local liquor store when he showed up returning the bottle. Tried 3 difference Help Chats. Same thing everytime. Looking into it. 5 minutes later we can't get a hold of anyone at store to confirm it was returned. Really. Its owned by a family and someone there all the time. So i didn't get my money back. Deleted the app.
Placed an order upwards of 100 dollars, driver was so incompetent he couldn't find my address, refused to call my number even after I was on skip support requesting the driver call me. Driver leaves and I get an email saying I'm not being refunded for my order.
Where do they find these so called delivery drivers the $#*!ing hot wheels circuit? What a laughable attempt at customer service, would probably help to employ drivers who know how to look at a gps and follow it, but who am I kidding it is rocket science after all.
It's Friday night and we just came in from a long day at work. We ordered "Skip" and waited for our delivery. A half hour later I received a text saying that our meal was delivered. I searched at the door and didn't see anything. I finally went down to the front entrance of our building and saw our order sitting in the vestibule. The driver didn't deliver to our door as expected and he also didn't buzz us to let us know our order had arrived. He just left it at the front doors. When I brought it up there was something that looked like dirt or ashes all over the container. Not impressed at all. I may change to another company.

Yet again ice cold food delivered after 1 hour waiting. Got on chat...4 dollars in refund for a 30 dollar order. Then refused to be given all my money back due to the terms of service. Guesswhat. Looked up the terms of service...they say they are required to refund. Time to start a class action lawsuit against these clowns. Skip the dishes is not worth it. You as a purchaser are forced to take on 50% of the cost when a restaurant serves you rotten, inedible food. Skip the dishes and their team don't care. But why should I assume half the cost only to throw food in the garbage… because hell I'm not eating it and wouldn't feed it to my dead dog.
I took one bite of the sandwich I ordered and instantly gagged because the turkey was completely spoiled. Do they care? Absolutely not! They even type based on a written verbiage that's given to them and remove any human aspect. I bet if it were their mother, father, son, daughter they might give a $#*!.

Don’t waste your time. Go out and buy yourself or cook at home. Skip the dishes failed to even acknowledge that the food that was delivered was spoiled. I said it several times and they just kept writing a script and completely ignoring the fact that the food was not fit for consumption. They only offer a 50% refund and expect you to eat the cost for food that no one would ever consume.

It was my first and last time order food from skipthedishes. I ordered from a restaurant which was 5 mins drive from my house and it says max delivery time 33 minutes. 5 mins after i ordered the app tracker says someone is on the way to pickup my order and it takes for ever to receive it. After i complained and chat the support team they send me the food more than an hour of my order. No credit back the money just a simple sorry word. Never will order from their website. It seems that their app has a glitch since nobody knows where was the bottleneck? Restaurant, driver or the app
The goddamn delivery driver for the third time has delivered my order to the other basement suite when I have specified delivered to the right hand side basement suite they've done this three times in a row so finally when I do get my food it's ice cold thanks a lot skip the dishes screw you highly do not recommend
