Many vendors provided stale food and when Skip was advised they did not care to address the issue or refund the money. There are limits to their refund, despite the driver or the restaurant being at fault. Why should the customer lose? Buyer beware.
I had a promo for $20 off one order. When I tried to place an order, the promo code would not show up. After placing the order, customer service said they'd only give me $20 CREDIT rather than $20 REFUND, and said I'd have to place another order to use said credit. Such a slimy, dishonest way to make people place TWO orders in order to get the $20 instead of just allowing them to use it on the first order, as the promo advertised. Deleting the app and never using this crap company again, too shady for my liking.
Messed up our order and had to contact someone on an online chat. They told us they could refund our order in skip the dishes credit or it would take 5-10 business to return our money. We went with the credit and had to ask three times for them to credit the right amount back. So we used them again as we have never had a problem before and it's been and hour and a half... still counting for our food. It shows the driver stuck in the same spot for 15min. Never again!
Tried to get a refund for food that was delivered to the wrong house. I must have spoke to 100 people. They all said they couldn't help and disconnected me. We were just trying to order a nice meal. I have never in my life experienced such aweful service. I would give the rating a "0" if I could.
My order was paid for and they did not deliver it at all!, I was home the whole time waiting for it. So when I tried to get my money back they wouldn't refund me, it's impossible to chat with the people on line, it seems to me that they can just about do anything they want to, they honestly don't care about the customer!

I ordered at 11:30pm and they ended up changing my delivery driver twice. After that, the food finally got delivered at almost 1am. I looked out my door and there was nothing there. I got a call barely 2 mins later asking if I had received my food and if I wanted a refund. What the heck! Who does that? Mind you, they had messed up my sleep routine and apart from that where the heck was I suppose to find food at almost 1am. Don't order from skip the dishes! They're so unreliable. Terrible dumb people!
I ordered from Swiss Chalet today at 2:05, at 5pm (when delivery was to be made) I got a message that the food was delivered, I went to look outside my door and there was no delivery. When I chatted with someone from Skip the dishes they refused to help me and I got nothing from them, no food or money back. This has happened to me too many times in the past. If you are going to order food do it from Door Dash or any other place but do not use Skip the dishes, you will loose your money for sure. Because they made so many mistakes I was told that they could not help me.
Total BS, ordered sushi in Winnipeg from our hotel on our wedding night, went downstairs and froze waiting to get order, grabbed it and came back to room only to find it was someone else's order, tried to call skip the dishes and was on hold for 45 minutes(never was able to talk to anyone while on hold), tried to reorder on skip dishes app but skip the dishes site said the restaurant was closed? This was at 5 pm, called restaurant from another phone and they told us that they were open until 11pm? Then the restaurant somehow got skip the dishes to call us on the other phone we had with us, we basically recorded and now 3 hours later still waiting for food! Skip dishes employee asked if I wanted a gift certificate instead of being refunded, told her that I'll never use this garbage service again! Point of the bad review, use another delivery service! Period!
I was in the process of ordering with Skip the Dishes when I cancelled the order before it was finalized. They confirmed that I cancelled the order but charged me any way! They took $111 from my credit card and never refunded me. What a crooked company! I had to call my credit card company to take action.
I ordered last night. Somehow I miss the address it was delivering too, the driver called me from the incorrect location. I told the driver I was super sorry somehow I missed it. I told him where I was it actually wasn't far from where he was. The driver tells me he's got my food just to make sure to send him the correct address I told him I'd give him a nice tip on top of what he was getting for the inconvenience. I contacted skip ask them repeatedly to forward my correct address to the driver. They refused repeatedly. Told me that the driver marked it as delivered... they did not care that I spoke to the driver... they instead told me they would refund 50% of my money... for food I didn't get? They won't help me get? Honestly go to uber eats people. This is the worst app in food delivery.
My name is Marc; while I have no complain with the delivery service, the Customer Service department failed answering questions I have. Around May 6th, Skip the Dishes detected an unusual activity under my account. A week or so after, I was told nothing wrong was found; but the two CS representatives told me via chat they are not allowed to explain what was found, only a supervisor can. That person was to get back to me a day or two later. It is now May 19th, no one got back to me. I just chatted with another representative who referred me to my credit card company. The employee offered to have a supervisor contacting me; as I said yes, I asked when can I expect the supervisor to contact me and where is he/she, the chat room got disconnected and I am unable to chat with someone else.
Skip the dishes is terrible. Places my order to the wrong address they were no help. Took my order to the wrong address even when I was trying to contact chat support for 40 mins and didn't give me a refund. Paid $50.00 for food that I didn't even receive.
Don't ever order anything from skip the dishes, they charge you before you getting your order plus tip for the driver so they don't care if you got your order or not and driver don't give a sh…t cuz he already got his tip so no need to give a good service
I ordered from skip did not receive my order and was charged $30 when I contacted the help 3 times! All 3 people were rude and said there is no history of this happening even when I have the receipt and bank statement. Scam artists I will NEVER order from them again. The worst company EVER
Ordered 70$ of Chinese food that ended up giving me liquid diarrhea so I requested a refund and now they won't accept any orders from my account worst place ever I would look elsewhere to do online ordering like doordash

This is a very bad app/service in Canada. Multiple times, my food have arrived SEVERAL HOURS LATE. No updates from Skip. They have a customer number, but it's always an answering machine saying they have many customers right now and cannot pick up the call, presumably too many unsatisfied customers calling to complain.
Find another food deliveryservice/delivery app.
They don't even take care about the restaurant. They don't have any matrix to calculate the skip score and if you are not accepting their promotion offers, they reduce your skip score to forced to accept their promotions.
I ordered Tim's in the morning and received it to my address, about two hours later I ordered again did not receive my order the help me team ( bull $#*!) said I moved in the last hour to next door address. F. CK SkipTheDishes
I ordered my dinner on the Skip the Dishes app and it was delivered to an address in the opposite side of the City. When I contacted Skip, I was told that I had provided the wrong address and they offer a 50% discount on future orders. Not acceptable because on my account information the address and phone number is correct and the one they delivered to was nothing like mine.
The app didn't work properly and was stuck on Confirming order forever. I tried cancelling and reordering but that was rejected. Meanwhile, my order had been delivered and was sitting at my front door. I wasn't notified that it was on route or delivered. Needless to say the food was cold. After talking to 3 of their CSRI I was told it was my computer. Thanks for nothing.
I ordered from a restaurant that used this company. I received the wrong order. When I contacted STD they stated it wasn't their problem. Restaurant stated ditto. I'm pretty sure that the driver is paid by STD. Hope the driver enjoyed his free meal. Perhaps the company should be renamed "Skip the dishes AND the food.

Do not use skip the dishes they are a rip off. I don't know how they stay in business. I just ordered something they said it was delivered when it wasn't instead of giving me a refund they gave skip the dishes points or some stupid $#*! like that. I will never ever use skip the dishes again.
SkipTheDishes has one of the worst customer service you could ever expect. I had an issue with the only order I placed using skipthedishes and the customer service person called me and said they cannot do anything as the restaurant owner has different policies for people ordering through skipthedishes and if you order otherwise. The customer service person hung up the phone when I asked thay maybe skipthedishes should put a disclaimer saying the terms and conditions might differ when ordering through skipthedishes. I would say the service of this company is worst and they show through online media that they care about people giving bad reviews but when they treat you even worse. It is high time that people should stop using this company considering how they treat their customers. BAD COMPANY.
I ordered a $74.00 meal, and went to my front porch when they said it was delivered. There was no food on my porch! Apparently, you cannot speak with anyone on the phone. It's an online chat. You have to sit and try to text. They said the delivery person marked it as ordered, so they could only give me a refund to my card which may take 5 days, or get skip credits which you receive immediately. I asked if they could replace my order and have it expedited, as I have two small children, and we were hungry, and really looking forward to the food we had ordered. Skip said they couldn't place an order for me, and had no other options. I asked for a refund to my card, and that I wouldn't be using skip anymore. They didn't even try to keep my business. We have ordered a lot through skip the dishes. I will be contacting the restaurant we ordered from to let them know.
In the order form for 'delivery instructions' we specified to please ring the bell and leave food at the front door. The food was left at the door, but the driver did not ring the bell. The food was totally cold when we discovered it at the door. We complained by "chat" with Skip the Dishes - informing them that the instructions clearly stated to ring the bell. Their response was that they are not obligated to ring the bell... only to have the food delivered between the range of time indicated at the time the order was placed. Totally unprofessional, and do not stand behind their service mistakes.
