Many vendors provided stale food and when Skip was advised they did not care to address the issue or refund the money. There are limits to their refund, despite the driver or the restaurant being at fault. Why should the customer lose? Buyer beware.
I had a promo for $20 off one order. When I tried to place an order, the promo code would not show up. After placing the order, customer service said they'd only give me $20 CREDIT rather than $20 REFUND, and said I'd have to place another order to use said credit. Such a slimy, dishonest way to make people place TWO orders in order to get the $20 instead of just allowing them to use it on the first order, as the promo advertised. Deleting the app and never using this crap company again, too shady for my liking.
Ordered food for my son who is at U of A hospital in Edmonton. He had 2nd surgery today and hadn't been able to eat. Igave clear instructions for them to call him when they arrived at the main entrance at 112th st so he could get nurse from intensive care to come down to get it as he cannot walk. Driver didn't wait for nurse. Left food outside and drove away. They called him and I put in a complaint on chat. Nurses went down 3 times, last time went to emergency and guess driver showed up there shortly after complaints were made and left food there. Emergency is no where near main entrance. Food was cold. Milkshake was melted. Customer service only apologized. Did nothing to make it right. I have no faith in them at all. So disappointing. Won't use them again.
As a competitor of UberEats they completely drop the ball on the customer service side.
When there was a promotion that allowed for a free meal + delivery (limited per store location) the skipthedishes app had another promotion code applied and would not allow me to remove it to use a better promotional code. After contacting support and remaining on line with them for 20 mins, the promotion was lost and I was left without an apology or remuneration. Contacting them a day later yielded a message saying "multiple accounts connected to your email therefore this subject is terminated". Well yes, there is multiple accounts because I am consumer and a business owner (that I will now delist from skipthedishes). If the representative had asked this woukd have been clarified quickly. Instead, she ended the chat.
What happened to restaurants having their own delivery drivers? I don't pay for ripoff sites like Skip the Dishes, because that's what they are. Ripoff, and I respect my cash. I order it through the telephone (Remember the telephone, kids?) and pickup myself. Ya, I do stuff myself, kids. And I put the 60 bucks in my pocket. That's why I own a house and you kids are living in your parents basement.

If I could put 0 I would put 0. Ordered some food and it came cold. I talked to 6 people on support that were really pissing me off. They scam you out of your money and close the chat when they damn sure know that they are in the wrong. Inget bad service and I have to get penalized? People please do not spend your money on skipthedishes, it's terrible. When they tell you they will refund your card they think they are slick and instead put it as credits on your skipthedishes account. I will never use their services anymore. They are definitely SCAMMERS
Made an order on skip. Watched driver on the app get half way to my house. The driver than turned around headed the wrong direction for quite some time. The driver drove around in an area about 20km from my house. I contacted customer support on the app and told me the order was coming. 20 min later I asked for a new order or refund. Was told this was not possible and I would need to pay for another order or cancel my order with no refund. Obviously skip drivers are performing more than one delivery service at a time and dont care if your food showes up cold and an hour late
Their refund policy is terrible. If your order is screwed up, missing items, or falsely delivered you're basically out of luck. You have a roll of the dice on whether you'll get help or not, and good luck taking it up with management if you don't! Even if you do, you probably won't get what you're expecting. If your order arrives incomplete, they'll refund the value of the missing item, even if it's absence ruins the entire meal. Like a burger with no meat patty. A poutine with no cheese or gravy. You only get a refund for the 'value' of the meat patty. Or the 'value' of the cheese or gravy. That's not how this should work.
It's well worth the time and gas to just go get the food yourself.
I have been charged for an order that was never delivered. Order was over $90. I am being blamed for nondelivery. I was initially promised a refund Skip then changed their mind and refused to refund the order blaming error on me.
Put and order in…didn't receive it and DID NOT get my money back…the driver didn't even try and get in contact with me, just left with my order. I tried to talk to support and went through like 5 different people and got nowhere…will never again use this garbage app and hope it goes bankrupt.
We ordered from skip the dishes and it used a old address in a different province so we contacted the restaurant in less then a minute and also my gf msged skip customer service on her phone and they both put on hold then later said we didn't contact fast enough to cancel which was a lie and said therre was now way to refund the money back cuz they made the food already even tho they made it while we were on hold they are criminals and I would never recommend them to anyone ever! Definitely gonna make sure everyone we know will not deal with these liars
I'm not even going to give you a star because you guys don't deserve it every time I order from you guys I either have to order twice because the driver screws off with my order or you guys pic it up and and drop it off somewhere else and there is no number to call two complain and all you guy just say so sorry for the inconvenience I don't think you guys understand how customer service works

I would never recommend skip to anybody for their food delivery. Because whenever you will place the order firstly you will never get that correct.And add on that they will not refund you. Best part no customer service phone number available to resolve your issue.

My orders have come half spilled and leaking all over all other order items. I have had drivers say they have delivered orders and nothing came. Havn't gotten any refunds or skip credits. I have spent alot of money with them too. Very upsetting.
Very very low costumer service. They didn't deliver my order but it was showing as delivered. When I called them, they said the driver got broken car and can not deliver your food. How a big company like this have no one else to deliver the food for me. And this is not the first time it's been 4 times that happened for me. I never order through them again. It is a big mistake. They're drivers always sooo rude and they don't take a good care of the food they bring it, it always miss up the food for delivery and never apologize for that.
The order picked up feature is great. You know when it has left the restaurant to be delivered. What should have been a 5 minute delivery took 55minutes and chatting with their help desk for 30 minutes of that. Their standard response was 'oh sorry. We will have to review that later'. The once the food was delivered 55 minutes after it was picked up and of course, not edible anymore, they offered a 50% pice reduction. Seriously, you want me to pay 50% of the price of food that is 100% not edible anymore? Their response was, 'oh sorry. That's our policy. We can't do any better than that'. This was the standard answer from 3 different customer service people - an all of them ended the chat without any notice. Do youself a favour and skip, Skip The Dishes.
I started using skip the dishes in March 13, and only order two times. After few days someone using my card ordering in skip the dishes every day for 6 times. My account inly shows i only ordered twice. The costumer service did not help in any way. Our information is bot safe in this company and they dont care. Do not ever use skip the dishes. I did not have this problem in Doordash and i have been using them for few years now.

It is absolutely illegal to charge taxes on a gift card. Taxes are charged when you buy something with the gift card and so you're charging and collecting the taxes twice. Of course Skip is just stealing, they aren't actually giving those taxes to the government.
The last guy left my food on the GROUND! Outside my apartment door where everyone steps with their DIRTY SHOES! And took off. WHAT A SAD LAZY PERSON. "RAY" I have had a fairly great experience with most people actually following the delivery instructions other than the mentioned ones. Another one was on my sisters birthday the guy "claimed to deliver our food" over 100 dollars. Turns out it was his last shift and he took off with our food... useless drivers. Most have been so fantastic to us of course there is always the very few useless people in this world who can't do their jobs...
HORRIBLE SERVICE. I've had food stolen from me, chefs deliver food to me because drivers are too lazy, and had drivers sit for up to 2 hours in the same spot not moving. During that specific time I ordered 2 McDonald's burgers. Would have rather walked to and from McDonald's faster instead of dealing with this annoying and wasteful service. Drivers are careless and unqualified for the job and Skip really don't care.
If you don't get your order then that's your fault because SkipTheDishes thinks we're responsible for the delivery, they won't deliver the food to your house and then when you ask for help they won't give you a refund too

Ordered food from a close fast food spot at 12 with a estimated delivery of 12:35 at 1:15 it was not at my door and I tried to contact support the app reset my ticket 3 times. I got an email at 2am that my delivery was late and to track it, i had since there was 0 contact from them by that time made food cause i was actually hungry and they refused to do a refund cause i received order.
I ordered 3 times and there was a problem for 2 of the orders. First time I had to wait for 1 hour and still no delivery. I called the restaurant and they said. We don't work with skipthedishes anymore... We ask them to remove us from their website but they don't.
2nd problem: after 1 hour the food was supposed to be delivered but no food at the door.
I contacted the customer service. They said they are goind to refund. After 2 weeks still no refund. I contacted them via email but no answer.
I contacted them via the app and they said it's refund see with your bank. I never had this issue with any other company. I looked at their facebook page and many people didn't get any refund.
That the worst company in terms of service and they lie to their customers...

Our order got delivered to my boyfriends last known address even though that wasn't the address on the account, nor were we there when we placed the order. Skip the dishes claims that we entered the wrong address even though there's only 1 saved address on his account. He was on chat for over an hour and it ended with "we can't help you" and they ended the chat.
I used skip the dishes last week and my burger came but they literally gave me no notice. Couldn't see when it was on its way, didn't know how long it would take etc. Made the mistake of ordering from them again today. The app said "confirming order" for over 45 mins and and i messaged customer support numerous times and they were no help. I was confused because i got a order confirmation email and yet the app said my order was still loading and wasn't confirmed yet. Customer support told me my order was pending. I was like wtf does that mean. Not even 2 mins later my order was cancelled. This whole thing was an hour process that resulted in my order being cancelled and left me starving. Reordered on ubereats because at least their reliable. Gonna be eating my breakfast at noon now….
I have been using SKIP over the last couple of years with minor concerns that in my mind are part of delivery ie food not enough. However I just ordered a chicken and rib dinner from Swiss Chalet and only received COLD ribs, no chicken. Neither SKIP or Swiss Chalet offered any form of compensation. Given neither would provide even an apology I would be wary of both these businesses.
