Bought sleep number... adjustable bed at Paducah KY store around 2014? Paid at least $5000 for the glorified air mattress... finally getting rid of it tomorrow. Posting this review so no one waste their time or money on this lousy air mattress. Pure junk.
Awful company. Took 6 months for them to fix double billing of $5000 bed, then bed broke in 1 year and they made us pay for the parts to fix it. Wish we never bought from them.
We were so disappointed with my new (2/19/22) California King Sleep Number P6 Smart Bed with the FlexFit Base. After paying $5,358 we found out the only way to control the FlexFit adjustable base is with the attached remotes. The first time we discovered this is after it was installed by the company. We cannot control the flexible head or foot feature with the wireless remote that comes with the bed, or our iPhone or iPad, like it was demonstrated to us in the showroom. You can control your sleep number setting, but that is all! I used the "Chat Feature" on the Sleep Number web site and after waiting 45 minutes was told it was because of a "chip" shortage. If we would have known this before we purchased the bed, we would have waited until that feature was available, as we were still very happy with our older Sleep Number bed which we have had for the last 12 years. Only reason we upgraded was for the flexible head and foot feature. Beware of what you are purchasing…
I have been waiting for 12 weeks an have had 4 delivery attempts and fails. Each time I had to take a day off of work and move my king size bed out of the room. I finally cancelled the order. The only thing they gave me for any of this was a set of sheets that now I can't use because I don't have the bed!
Customer service is awful. Every time I called them they said that they would have to research this and call me back. Never received a call from customer services in the whole 12 weeks. I cannot believe that they put me through all of this for nothing!
Purchased an I8 360 and it's just a year old and the base is not working. Took two months for them to call to schedule a visit. Tech comes today and says the mattress is cut wrong and the base is defective. Said customer service would call to set something up to have a new bed sent. WRONG! Sleep Number called and just sending the foam that goes inside the mattress. Had to call another number regarding the base. Sleep Number does not make the base. They don't tell you this. I got the run around from this company. They said they have their own techs so they would have to come out but only after I order the remote and see if that works instead of the app. I argued with the rep as to why this is so difficult. Then she tells me in order to get the remote I need the serial number from the bottom on the bed. She said sometimes the remote will be make the bed "magically" start working. What juice are these people drinking. SO I had try reach my arm under the bed and start snapping pictures until I could see the number. I now have to call back and order the remote which will take a week, then trouble shoot more, then call back if it's not working to have one of their techs come out and look. Then if it's still not working, they will order the parts, ship them, and have a tech replace the broken parts. I guess they don't care they I have to keep taking time off from work for this craziness. Not to mention, I spent over $8,000 on this bed and expected to last longer than a year. I'm still paying for a bed that doesn't work! Sleep Number is the worst store I have ever dealt with Leggett & Platt who make the base are just as bad. All they do is lie about their products and scam people. This has been the worst purchase I have ever made and people need to know the truth about these companies. Their product is not worth the money and their customer service is awful. A child would do a better job! Never again will I purchase a Sleep Number bed!
My owners purchased this mattress and installed it yesterday. I fell asleep in exactly one minute. Slept soundly for an hour. I would have given 5 stars, but I did have 50 minutes of restless sleep. It could have been the stress of keeping the house safe, thou.
I bought a sleep number true temp contour pillow, and its absolutely the worst pillow I've ever used. The shape of the pillow has weird squares on it that make it super lumpy and uncomfortable. Its wrapped with a cover that feels cool to the touch for a couple seconds, but doesn't have any lasting temperature regulation. And when I go to sleep number's website and try to chat with someone, they direct me to a phone number *******188 that basically just blares advertisements at you - not for sleep number mind you, but for random other BS. And when you try to press 0 for a human, it asks you "what company are you calling for?" Clearly some complete BS run around. F sleep number.
These creeps waited until our return period was up and then updated their policy that won't allow me to adjust my bed unless i agree to allow them more access to my personal data! Nope, I unplugged and to Hedouble hockey sticks to them!
The morning is getting darker and it's getting harder to get out of bed. If you are a lark, please tell us how you do it. I have zero energy... But it was only with the previous beds. The new ones feel different. I'm finally getting enough sleep with my bad regimen.
I have been trying for days to speak to anyone in customer service. Plan on spending 45 minutes to an hour and still all you hear is the recorded message "all reps are busy." I have even gone to the live chat to receive the same message. Finally went into the store and all they could do is log are concern/exchange. Either invest in a better phone system providing consumer with at the least hold time expectations, or a auto call back. Looks like I'll need to file with BBB.
I have had a Sleep Number bed since 2005. I had a few issues after a couple of years, but Cust Service was excellent and took care of the issue. I went to buy a new sleep number bed. I didn't check reviews b/c my prior experience was very good. This time it was horrible. They messed up the delivery. When I tried to have them address the issues, it took me hours to get thru & when I did they didn't care. I was stunned but the started researching and found that there were many bad reviews now on this company. The former CEO had been convicted of fraud & we all know that translates into a beaten workforce. I cancelled my order immediately and feel like I've dodged a bullet. Just beware.
They might have a good product but the customer service is easily the worst I've ever encountered. Every department is disconnected from the other; you buy from the store who is just there to take your money and that's literally all they can do for you. If you have trouble with delivery, they can't help, customer service can't help either, all they can do is transfer you around until you accidentally land on someone who might be able to help you. Their delivery team actually showed up at my house with NO BED, NO BED! Because a note was in the account that stated the bed was already delivered and just needed to be set up. There was no way to contact who put the note in or find out why and they also couldn't find the bed. A new delivery date 3 weeks out had to be set leaving my mom with no bed for that time as we had removed the old bed per their instructions before they could deliver and set up the new bed. As a result of this mistake on their part, they offered a $400 credit and a set of sheets. HOWEVER, that was just put in the notes and no actual administrative steps were taken to process to credit back to me or even to send the sheets. Call wait times are like an hour long and none of the customer service reps actually have power to do anything so you'll just end up talking to them for 15 minutes while they catch up on all the notes and tell you they have to transfer to a supervisory team which is another 30 mins on hold before you can speak to someone who may or may not be able to help you and transfer you to someone else. They are however excellent at taking notes and documenting why you've called them 15 times but no good at actually providing you with any real help.
When we were buying our sleep number bed in November of 2019, the sales rep simply said it would be covered by a 25 year warranty, which sounds impressive, but they failed to mention that after only 2 years, we would have to start paying for at least a portion of the repairs (both parts and labor) and from what I've heard, people that bought sleep number beds more recently get an even shorter period than that before they start having to pay for repairs. As it is, our sleep number bed has been very unreliable. In just over 2 years that we've owned it, we've had to have the pump replaced once, and an air chamber replaced once, which were completely paid for, but now, one of the foot warmers needs to be replaced, but they would expect me to pay over $150 to have a technician come over and replace the part. I declined the repair because it isn't worth that much to me to get it fixed, given how much I spent on the bed, and also because the foot warmer still works on the lowest setting. Please learn from our mistake buying from them and don't believe their claim that they have such an awesome warranty!
If you buy a product for a Christmas gift from any company website that has a clue, they will let you know if you can expect the product before Christmas. Not Sleep Number, they don't mention anything about your order showing up after Christmas even though I ordered it on Dec 17th. Turns out it's arriving on Dec 28th!
And then when I use the Chat to complain, the rep says that this is their shipping policy... bedding orders only ship 4 business days after placing the order. I ordered a freakin pillow, how does that take 4 days to process. Then the rep ends the chat before I'm done typing!
NEVER BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!
I paid over 7k for my sleep number bed. One of the base mounts was defective and company won't repair.
I would not recommend their product or services. I actually suffered a fracture following their instructions while sleeping on their bed. I contacted them and was informed I could only return the mattress but not the base which I could not use with any other mattress because the sleeve that holds their mattress was not removable. When asked about that they sent me directions to a different bed. They talk down to people and do not make any effort to help someone. End result its a fee of $200 to return their mattress but am stuck with the useless base. Their air mattress does not hold up in comfort to a cheap air mattress that can be bought at your local box store. Do yourself a favor and buy a good bed someplace else.
If u ever think about what HELL is like.
BUY A SLEEP NUMBER MATTRESS.
THE MOST OVERATED. POS.
THE ACHES AND PAINS ON YOUR BODY, ARE UNDESCRIBABLE.
OVERRATED CRAP EVER MARKETED.
Buyers beware! I purchased a split king with the based from the Sleep Number store in Clearwater. The manager/sales person at this store is as shady as they come. He is super friendly and talks about how he only keeps that job as a just in case job and how he is in real estate. Will talk about the 100 night guarantee. He will tell you that you have nothing to worry about, get it home try it out for 100 nights and if you don't like it they have your back. As long as you sleep on it for 30 nights and initiate your return within 100 days you will get a full refund so you have nothing to loose. I just got off the phone with the sleep number return hotline and I was informed that is not indeed the case. You only get a refund for the mattress, not the base. The base is 50% the cost of these over priced blow up air mattresses. I've slept better on my $60 blow up mattress while camping. The edges of the bed sag horribly. If you don't sleep directly in the middle of the bed it will sag so bad you will fall out of bed. I'm and edge sleeper and it's been difficult to sleep on. The remotes and the adjustable based have many flaws including sometimes having to wait minutes for it to connect o the bed to be able to adjust it. Worst bed/mistake I have ever made. The bed on sale was over $7000 and it's not worth $500. BUYER BEWARE! There shady sales tactics are protected because they print the notice on the receipt after the sale that you cannot return the base. Again I'll repeat that never was I told before I signed on the dotted line that the base wasn't returnable, it's in find print on your receipt. The sales associate will state that they told you it wasn't, but they certainly cannot even remember whop you are. I could walk into the store and approach the same associate I purchased form and he will not recognize me at all, but will claim to be able to recall a conversation where he stated that. This is total shady sales, bait and switch tactics, do not buy from this company. They want nothing more than to cheat you out of your money for beds they cannot sell.
I am loving my new bed and waking up without hip pain for the first time in years. However, customer service and delivery were terrible. We were given a date for delivery and got multiple texts and emails reminding us. At the end of that day, I got a call from the dispatcher who patched me in with the drivers to help them find a route to my home. The drivers just said they can't get to my house all the roads are closed (four separate routes into my neighborhood, none which were closed) and they refused to tell me or the dispatcher what road they were on. Finally they admitted that they were on to the next delivery. So then after multiple calls to support (and wait times 2 hours), we were told someone would call back with a delivery date, but they would wave the $250 delivery fee. No call back, but got an email saying the bed would be delivered over a month away! Called again & waited on hold again and was told nothing could be done, but offered $250 more off. Finally I got another supervisor and I explained that my husband was having foot surgery and we had scheduled it to be after the first delivery that did not happen. She was able to arrange the delivery for 1 1/2 week later. When they arrived, they said they could not take the mattress which we had already been promised when we bought the bed. We never received the promised discount totaling $500, and now customer service is saying there is no record in our chart about any promised refund. This is the worst customer service ever, its almost comical.
Answer: For sleep number mattresses...YOU pay for return shipping even though it doesn't cost $249 to ship it back they're going to make money off of it
