Sling TV is NOT worth paying even a penny for! Don't waste your money unless you don't really want to "watch" an entire movie or show. I have had Sling TV for over two months now and have not yet gotten to watch one program all the way through without being interrupted by Sling having an error and kicking off. It's incredibly annoying! Guess I'll be checking into Amazon Prime now. At this point having no TV would be better than Sling TV.
After about 1 year of service this is my review. At about 3 PM every single day Sling just stops... I mean the show stops where it is at and then when it starts back up the voices and sounds are slowed down so you can't understand what they are saying and the sound is not in sync with what is showing. It sucks and now I may have to go back to Dish. And no, it is not my internet as I never have problems with netfilx or any other streaming service. Stay away. PS their commercials are stupid too
You have 0 contact support you advertise offering big sports games on your channels yet play something completely different. Always on a channel you don't have, always another "package" you need to add on. This is a joke and I do not know how you have not been sued or burnt down. You are terrible service and will probably scam 1,000 more people as I type this so congrats on being a scum company and smile atleast you got this payment.
I actually liked Sling a lot until this debacle. I bought the fight, got nothing but an error message. Tech support couldn't get it up either. The official policy of sling, per their customer service reps, is this: "We do not provide refunds for pay per view purchases, nor are we required to provide the pay per view content you purchased, per the terms of the pay per view purchase agreement". If this isn't bait for a class action suit, I don't know what is.
I signed up in January to a deal of getting a free antenna if I stayed with Sling for at least 2 months. I just found out that I've been overcharged by $30 in March and April because according to them I created 2 accounts when I signed up to the "deal" and now they only want to give me a partial refund. I really hate when companies like this one rip people off!
I've had sling for a year now and I'm anything but happy. Today was a normal day of constantly kicking me out and making me go though the hoops to continue to watch what I had been watching. I'm finally ready to expose this ap as the sham that it is. Unfortunately I'm not capable of of choosing a more reliable way to stream TV. If I could afford to have a more reliable I would do it in a flash. If you can afford it choose cable.
Watch out for the Sling TV free 7-day preview. They charged me for the full first month's subscription despite my having cancelled the service prior. After calling customer service and explaining, they refused to refund the charge. Outright theft.
They do not give you abc, cbs or nbc? The channel selection is just alright for the price. I ordered Sling TV with a promotion for a roku device. I upgraded later to add more channels that should be easy just add the extra 5 bucks onto my bill. No they sent me another roku device and extra 75 bucks I was billed. Had to contact them twice about this. The first time I called the young lady since I upgraded to adding more channels I was sent another roku device I let her know did not need another one? She said that is what they do? I called back on another day and finally a rep was able to refund my tv service but said they could not refund the roku devices? I am still working on getting refunded on them since they were never taken out of the their boxed and unused. May have to go to the BBB.
I tried Sling for a month in July 2017. I cancelled because they didn't deliver. I thought I was fine, didn't hear from them, until 7 months later, and they tried to charge $98 to my credit card, then credited it back, and they seem to be wanting to charge me $28 monthly for nothing. I tried calling them, they can't even look up my account or explain why I am being charged, but they clearly still have my payment info and are using it fraudulently. I disputed the charges with my card, but my suggestion if you are considering this service, they cannot be trusted with your information.
Sling tv was great when it first started. I subscribed to it thought it was wonderful then later stopped service but not because I had a problem with sling. So recently I decided to go back mainly to get the football games and there is absolutely no reason anyone needs cable anymore but now I realize Sling has definitely changed. The DVR is awful it barely works. Your lucky when you choose a show to watch if you actually get to watch it because sling will go to the beginning and then suddenly switch to the end and go back and forth processing until it just completely goes black. Just so so so many issues now I had to cancel. So very disappointed. Hey sling at least you were good for a little awhile but your definitely passed your prime
I signed up for the special deal, buy two months get the third for free. They have billed me three straight months even after chatting with support and being promised I would not be billed for the third month. Got a hold of support again and they said my fourth month would be free. I told them to reverse the charge because I was going to cancel before the third month ended because the service is not worth $40 per month. Now I have to wait for their accounting department to get involved. My next step will be just to refute the charge on my credit card, that would have been much easier to begin with.
If it wasn't for the long, every 5 minute commercials, I would love sling. At least half of what they show maybe three quarters of what they show you can find on free apps so if you're going to watch commercials why would you pay for it. I have over a thousand channels from free apps and sling over laps most of those. If I really want to watch a special or particular Network I'll pay the little bit of extra money and get it for commercial free, Sling it's just not worth it anymore
I used a gift card and ordered orange. After 1 day I wanted to change to the blue, higher priced plan, and add 2 $5 ala carte. Was asked to add money, added another gift card. They extended my orange plan said in order to make it change I had to add more. What was there was enough. They will only add length, not change without debit/credit card. Be aware!
I cancelled my sling TV and ask for a full refund I had to pay 82.00 for two months to get Roku free and because I did that they will not refund my card. I was not told this when I signed up. I don't even use it. You can have Roku back it's useless to me I want my money. It's a rip off
Just spoke with the con artist at sling they said they can only refund credit cards. Get a lawer, sue them for all losses, and for your lawer, and for all court costs, and all damages such as credit card fees, and interest. I've done it with a major corporation and won. And your computer might have to buffer constantly so you can't watch it. And don't forget to file a complaint with the Better Biusines Bureau, and with their corporate quarters. And the gift cards are non refundable, depending on which state you live in, so if you get bad service you probably can't get a refund. I just wasted $75 on them.
Poor quality, doubles channels on orange and blue and doubles the price, can only watch on one TV not multiply TV's, freezes channel's when watching... no other streaming does. Watch out for the taxes! Tremendous amount of commercials, is this not what pays to watch, but yet they feel like they can charge tremendous amount of money to watch a bunch of crap.
I had the service for 3 months and during this time they offered a free Roku. I asked them about the promo and they wanted my credit card info to " confirm" account.
Instead of getting my Roku, they tried to charge me again for a subscription I was paid up to and current. Apparently the transaction was declined. They canceled my service but then refunded me the rest of my subscription that I had paid. Their operation made no sense. Not sure what this company is up to or where their service center is located.
In hindsight, I'm glad my credit card flagged them as suspicious and denied their charge.
The concept of Slingbox is appealing but I think there needs to be some competitors. Slingbox has a ton of bugs, doesn't run smoothly and their customer services appear shady.
I didn't think you could get much worse than Comcast until I encountered Sling TV. The search field doesn't doesn't locate programming. The subscription upgrades aren't intuitive and their customer service is elusive. This is a service that can only be sustainable in a communist economy but is a distant second to the Yugo. The end.
Absolutely the worst. Have had this for 3 months and it's been terrible the whole time. Stops streaming multiple times throughout any given show. If commercials have not been programmed into that show, many times it goes to "black" during the period of time the commercials should have been running in that time slot. You can't pause commercials. If you pause the actual show for more than 5 minutes it will not start back up at the same point you paused it at, and you have to start all over at the beginning. You can, admittedly, then fast-forward but it only allows fast-forwarding through the show segments, not through the commercial segments, so you have to watch those commercials (or black screen) all over yet again. We're slinging this as far away as possible today and, though it will cost more, going with a much better service.
I purchased this under the premise of 50% off my 1st month, a new total of $20. At checkout, the total changed to $30. My card statement was for $40. Then I had no access to any of my local channels to watch the games that I originally wanted this for. I tried to cancel it, but was told I couldn't because it was a prepaid subscription without refund options. Do not waste your time or your money on this, you will be very disappointed.
Answer: They are rip offs fir real. I think everyone shpikd ban together gor a class action suit.
Answer: Go with your gut on this one. Click away from Sling
Answer: Don't even waste your time on sling. Don't know where you live, but there are so many more options today than there was say 5-10 years ago. Look around.
Answer: The ROKU rocks! Just avoid SLING TV at all costs. When they rip people off the FCC will not make them give you the money they owe you. The FCC just says We received your complaint and you should be hearing from SLING. What a joke! I am out $50.00, because SLING told me they were only taking major credit cards or the SLING cards. I purchased 2 $25.00 SLING cards to pay my $40.00 bill. The cards only come in $25.00 amounts. It would not take them. I called and called and got different CS agents. The cards would not go through. I got all kinds of reasons the cards were not working. I finally dropped SLING and went back to Spectrum. Something I vowed to never do. The day I called SLING to tell them I no longer wanted their service, and to tell them why I was unhappy the CS agent told me that the cards only work on the bill due date. Blah blah blah. I dontt know what happened with SLING. The service was great for a long time. Then they went to those stupid cards that would not work.
