I tried SlingTV for a free 7 day trial and on the 7th day cancelled because it was not going to work for my elderly husband. THEY CHARGED me for a MONTH as I called 3 hours later than I had called to sign up but ON THE SAME DAY. It is STILL the 7th DAY and they wont refund me. FRAUDS.

On 8/26/2017 I attempted to purchase a paper-view program. I was never able to view the paper-view program and did not even know if the purchase was final because I kept being kicked out of the server due to high traffic. I contacted customer service and spoke with Cynthia, who was very rude and was no assistance to me at all on 8/27/17. Cynthia advised that the fight was non refundable. I then asked to speak with a supervisor and was connected to Tasheena. Tasheena told me that she would contact billing and I would be contacted by them for the only chance at receiving a refund. I am very angry because I expect to receive a product that I purchase and not have to jump through hoops to get it. Tasheena also told me to contact my bank and have them stop the payment. Also I advised Tasheena that if i did not receive compensation in any form I would cancel my services contact BBB and place negative publicity, and instead of offering as much support to help me she sent me a link to cancel witch I followed through with.
Sling touts themselves as a great streaming TV service, but they are anything but. The app fails to launch and/or freezes constantly on new Sony Bravia 4K XBR930D TVs. You are told to uninstall/reinstall the app from Google Play. That is their fix.
Local programming is almost nil, and when you sign-up for add-ons like NFL RedZone, you get no local coverage.
I signed up for a 7 day free trail.
I found out I didn't want the service and when I logged in to my account to cancel it. I was kicked out of the system as soon as I clicked on CANCEL MY ACCOUNT. I logged back into the system and tried to cancel the account the same thing happen. As soon as I clicked on CANCEL MY ACCOUNT it kicked me out of the system again
The next day I tried again and as soon as I clicked on CANCEL MY ACCOUNT I was kicked out of the system. The Next day I was charged with 1 months service fees
I contacted Sling and they told me It was not their fault I was not able to cancel my account and wouldn't refund my fee
I did the seven day free trial and they took the payment for the first month before the seven day trial was over and would not reimburse me. Theyre crooks in the service sucks
Not ecen 3 minutes into the application process to fill out free 7 day trial, sling asks for your credit card info to bill you after the 7 days is up.
In addition, channels like HBO and ABC are not on a package list and are an additional fee to the package costs. At the end, you would pay $30 on top of your package cost.
Its still cheaper than your larger companies but lets be honest and straight with us SLING and honor your FREE trials.
If a company is willingly unhonest up front, how they goibg to treat us as paying customers?

This is a greedy company without any understanding of what makes a successful business. They aren't going to last very long, I know that. I signed up for Sling even though I have cable, because we moved our TV downstairs, and rent, and don't want to install a cable cord downstairs. TWD was being aired, and after that, I didn't really feel the need for it because we rarely watch TV. So I cancelled it in April, knowing that my subscription would continue until the end of the month. Yesterday, 5/2/17, I receive a charge for Sling. I immediately contacted them via chat, spoke with someone named Seth. He provided me a link to cancel, though I already cancelled, and I asked for a refund because I cancelled it last month and they say they don't refund. So I emailed. Same thing. Then they referred me to their POS terms of use. So I reached out on Twitter. They couldn't help me there either. They aren't compromising or understanding, or sympathetic or anything. They just want their money. All I would like is $24.99 returned to me for services I'm not using. I'm going to do my best to let others know that this company is not worth the time and money. Stick with Hulu, Prime, Netflix, and your cable provider. I'm currently trying to reach out to the CEO as well and I've already filed a BBB complaint. Seriously, don't be a sucker like I was unless you like throwing away your hard earned cash.
I have had my Sling sub for several years now and been pretty satisfied until recently. I am not sure if it is Dish taking it over or what, but it has become increasingly difficult to make changes to my account. I am in the process now of canceling my add on Sports sub because there isn't really anything I am interested in watching on that addon right now. You are supposed to be able to change your addons or add to them on the site, but there is no option when you go to the addon section to cut that package. Trying to get anyone to help you is a maze of chat bot gibberish and or long waits for a human on chat. Their live chat is a never ending wait. See attached image, the live chat refreshed every 5 minutes with a message saying it would be a 20 minute wait. Forget calling the number listed on Google, you get a DishTV recording and no option for Sling. I was able to finally find another number for Sling itself, but when I call I get a recording that nobody is available to help. I am probably going to go to YouTube TV, they have local TV options and all of the channels I want that I can get on Sling. Ridiculous.
They have incompetent people in their customer support thinking that the consumer doesn't know how to operate the system
It's interface is awful. It's "DVR" is awful I guess you get what you pay for, but I'm guessing the monopoly/Price Fixing of $60 a month will kick in at the end of the year.
WORST COMPANY AND WORST SERVICE. This company just rips off Customers, STAY AWAY FROM THIS APP. I was using a Trial Version and even when I was registering for the App I have seen that they will be charging me $15 a Month after the Trial but they charged me $58.99. I thought it is fine and the app airs only a few games and I was not able to see all NFL games. I talked to the customer service and asked them that I was not able to watch the NFL Games and they are telling me that I should call them next time and tell them so that they will do the trouble shooting. In the mean while I will be losing 1 Qtr waiting for someone to answer my call and 2nd Qtr having them trouble shoot?
When I asked them why are you charging me for something when you failed to provide the service they said they cannot refund the amount since it is a prepaid account and customer happiness is not their motto.
I have been with sling for a while now an this month on the 11th I paid my bill over the phone and the representative told me it was 31.99 with tax for the blue package. They were charging for all these channels I don't watch Show time, Starz, MGM and I had Travel Channel, TNT, History so basically the blue package now this company is taking money from customers and giving them channels they didn't ask for the representative told me how much to pay then gave me the wrong package.
I wanted the blue now they wont take the money put it towards the blue package so you can watch the right channels they said they would contact me and 5 days later nothing, So I want to let you customers know there's no supervision, no managers around, and now Ive been waiting for billing to fix the problem I've been waiting since the 10th of August it don't take 5 days to fix something they screwed up on, so there lying to every one and want you to pay another 40.00 for some thing I should have any way ripoff scammers, lot of complaints customers need honesty and Stability times are tuff enough when it comes to cable, Please check your reviews.T.A

Yep, Im done. Looks like its back to cable. Me and my wife were watching The Walking Dead season 8 episode 1 and Sling just decided to stop working after about 25 minutes (right when it started getting good, go figure). We have used Sling in the past and had a horrible experience, but decided to get it another try. NEVER AGAIN. I cant wait to go to work in the morning and hear my co-workers talking about what happened in the season premier, lol. Just kidding, not funny. I wouldnt use Sling again even if they gave me the service for free. Seriously, yall suck. If you like your shows to cut off randomly and leave you hanging, then Sling is for you. If your a normal person who actually likes to watch the entire show, RUN AWAY and find another app or just switch back to cable. Sling is unfortunatly unreliable. I hope you guys get it together soon, or youre going to lose a lot of customers (from your reviews it looks like you already have lol). Anyways, thanks for ruining the season premier of The Walking Dead as well as the other shows Ive watched in the past though Sling. Peaaceeee.

Understanding that sling is based on networks that pay. They have to many commercials, longer then the show it self.
SATURDAY MORNING THEY TOOK IT UPON THEIR OWN TO TAKE MONEY FROM MY CARD LATE NIGHT. So after noticing my money had been stolen I tried searching for ways to contact this ratchet company. So by Monday I found a phone number and I called it and a ratchet lady began telling me " This is what sling does and it's just our way of getting money" I said so you steal money without authorization of the card holder? She proceeds to say " This is how we operate " I said I have not ever given anyone company over $9.99 for any movie app but you think it's ok to just steal from me I said to her you people are acclaimed thieves that seem to be proud of how you get money but you will not get away with stealing from me! She says adamantly and proudly that she basically was glad to be a part of such a ratchet workplace. And the wench even said have a good day. You know most companies have reduced themselves to lowering their standards and morals because lately most businesses and stores do not operate on quality standards it's like being in a battlefield when dealing with anyone or any place these days, everyone is out for whatever they can get even if it means they steal it or take it from you, so all of the few honest hardworking people that are left out here we must start being careful of who we're doing business with because it's getting real out here people no longer care how they get your money from you or if you get services that they took your money for. These companies are not asking for authorization they're stealing our money from our cards and basically telling us Forget you!

Answer: The ROKU rocks! Just avoid SLING TV at all costs. When they rip people off the FCC will not make them give you the money they owe you. The FCC just says We received your complaint and you should be hearing from SLING. What a joke! I am out $50.00, because SLING told me they were only taking major credit cards or the SLING cards. I purchased 2 $25.00 SLING cards to pay my $40.00 bill. The cards only come in $25.00 amounts. It would not take them. I called and called and got different CS agents. The cards would not go through. I got all kinds of reasons the cards were not working. I finally dropped SLING and went back to Spectrum. Something I vowed to never do. The day I called SLING to tell them I no longer wanted their service, and to tell them why I was unhappy the CS agent told me that the cards only work on the bill due date. Blah blah blah. I dontt know what happened with SLING. The service was great for a long time. Then they went to those stupid cards that would not work.
