Can't access channels that I pay extra for even though they're listed on my account. Hulu Live is a much better option for a complete package
Scam! They charged us $100 without no offer anything. Worst customer service ever! Please never use that service!
If you like horrible steaming and even worse controls this is your perfect solution… Sling is the worst!
Sling is more expensive than my internet/cable provider. Everything is an add on or extra. Waste of $$.
It is a crap. Streaming is horrible. Doesn't work as expected. Their charges are ridiculous. The free links on web work much better than sling
I subscribed to the sling service specifically to watch the soccer World Cup and I was NOT able to do so due to a technical problem that they were not able to resolve at their end. I got multiple error messages on my iPhone and it did not work on a different device either. The major error I received was 10-100 but there were other errors. I made a big mistake on not trying out first.
I spoke to the customer service and they were NOT HELPFUL to resolve it. Issue was escalated but was still not resolved and I did not get to see important matches. As a result I had to subscribe to another service.
I asked for a refund of my service but was denied in vain. I also spoke to the floor supervisor (John, ID: IUK) and he was unable to resolve the issue and also denied refund. This is totally UNACCEPTABLE. He read the terms and conditions but the terms seem to be a SCAM especially if you are not able to provide the service that I paid for. Hence they should have refund but they denied.
Thank you and hope this helps to not use sling TV to watch World Cup soccer.
I've been a sling customer for years. I started off paying only $40 a month. My bill now? $70. Mind you nothing changed and nothing extra was added. They advertise on demand but don't always expect anything on demand to be updated the next day. I'm on day 3 since my on demand has not been updated. As for watching something from the guide that previously aired so you can fast forward through commercials, no you still have to watch commercials because fast forward is not an option. You have to watch at least 3 commercials before you can actually fast forward. They have so many customers and keep increasing their price. They get enough from commercials too. Their customer service is, for a lack of a better word, unknowledgeable. There was a time where for over 2 weeks nothing was updated for previously aired. My shows were dated to be aired in September. This happened in December. Called customer service maybe 5 times in 4 days if not more, and no reps had any idea why this was an issue. And every new rep I spoke with I had to repeat my issue because taking notes for the customer profile or ticket isn't a thing. They all tried to get me to do the same steps I already tried hoping it would fix the issue instead of escalating the ticket further. I was told it would take days for it to be escalated. So I either had to watch my shows live or wait until the next day for it to be available on demand, maybe. There's always been days where sometimes channels don't even work or load. And don't expect any compensation for the issue that occur on their end and interferes with your time. This service has been nothing but disappointing and frustrating.
Never works when you really want it. Technical issues all the time. Nol price and even free is not worth the hassle.
This UI is horrible, this is not user friendly AT ALL. I have used Hulu Live, Fubo and YouTube TV and this definitely does not compare. It is clunky, harder to navigate and is slow when you push buttons there is a delay before it reacts I am using it on a Roku, (my internet speeds are 320 down and 29.2 up so it isn't that) the DVR isn't recording things I have entered. I thought I might switch to this to save some money but I don't think I have the patience to use this subpar service especially after the rate increase sling just had. I truly feel cheated paying $10 bucks for this, I wasn't joking in the headline. I used sling over a year ago and quit because it was horrible, I figured they may have cleaned things up (clunky dvr, and garbage UI) and were now a premium service since how they charge a premium price, boy was I wrong. I can't wait to get rid of it, I wished I would have only signed up for a 7 day trial because I probably won't use it and can't wait to get rid of it! I would rather have free Pluto than this, it doesn't have dvr but has a better UI and is lots easier to navigate and it is free. Pitiful
-hard to get ahold of a physical person
-no refunds
-emailed proof of cancellation and still billed us
Just thrown off the WORLD SERIES in the 8th inning of a tie game! I contacted support and they told me, "Yes, Fox decided to pull the game from Sling.' DON'T DO IT! They totally suck.
After 2 and one half day of poor service I cancelled sling and they refused to refund me. I was charged $40 dollars. Do not use Sling!
The price is good but the user interface makes viewing so frustrating it is not worth it. That's because there are so many inconsistencies in their listing-how programs are listed, whether one click or two clicks gets you back someplace or not, etc. So you can be watching a show and intend on pausing it. But it boots you out. Now try to find which episode you were watching. Good luck on that one. Say you were watching Episode 14 Season 3 of a show. You find the listing for the show itself. Now you can double click a remote to get the listing of all the episodes... or not. Sometimes the list is there and sometimes it's not. And that is true about everything having to do with Sling TV. See the pic for an example of the inconsistency. Looking for a particular episode. One provides a description of the episode. The other does not. One thing you can count on tho. When you click on any of the shows you are forced to watch about 15 commercials before you get a hint about whether or not that is the episode you were watching. So hunting it down means waiting and watching 15 commercials, finding it is not the one you were watching and trying the next one, again watching 15 more commercials. The system is supposed to have a section that lists "recently watched shows" but that too seems inconsistent. Sometimes the shows you watched show there and sometimes they don't. I've now spent about an hour searching for the show I was watching. I have given up. I will also give up on Sling and find another media venue. The pics are not great examples cause the inconsistency is minor but it is indicative of the entire system. There's no way to predict what a click of the remote will do in terms of your viewing. I'm sure it is related to what field you are in but because there are no manuals or directions and because it is not intuuitive, there is no way to tell where you are many times without clicking, etc. Too frustrating to deal with.
Very deceiving website. Very slow even with a powerful internet. Full of ads. Channel lineup weird. I paid for a year watched only for 2 days
You want to watch a show, but instead you get to watch ads. Endless ads. Ads. Ads. Ads. Ads. Show? No, more ads.
I'm a recent cable cutter. I dropped my satellite TV subscription after completing the contract. One of the things that frustrated me about cable packages is the number of channel in the 150 or 200 channel super mega package that we never ever watch yet pay have to subscribe. You can choose them a la carte.
I put up an antenna and decided to stream everything else. Many, many cable TV stations like ESPN offer the ability to stream their live content over the internet. BUT you can only do this if you subscribe to a cable or satellite provider. Well... if I have cable, why would I want to stream this? (rain fade, away from home with only my phone, etc.) But really! This whole TV thing is quite a racket.
Sling.tv provided a way for me to subscribe to ESPN and a few other channels without buying an expensive programming bundle or a two year contract. For $20/month, I got a few stations I would normally watch without being burdened by a contract. It seemed a pretty good deal. Their app works with a few devices including Roku and ChromeCast. A complete listing of stations and devices can be found on their web site.
It doesn't work on my Apple TV (go figure). It seems if Apple doesn't offer it on iTunes, you can't play it on your Apple TV (partly true but mostly sarcasm). I find this Apple exclusionary practice frustrating. I like the $20/month with no contract terms.
The catch, if you have several TVs and several devices, you can only watch on one device at a time. So, if I'm watching ESPN and the missus wants to watch HGTV on another device. ESPN goes bye-bye. If I watch CNN on my iPhone and she's at home watching A&E, her program is interrupted. If you want viewing on more than one devices simultaneously, you need multiple subscriptions at $20 each.
Watching NFL games via ESPN/Sling.tv stream was frustrating and sometimes unbearable. I have a 60MB internet connection yet buffering, pixelation and hiccups occur on various devices. I am not going back to cable or satellite so I find somewhere to watch the big game if it isn't available over the air.
This is a good start but still needs work.
I looked at slingtv for their ESPN claims for the cfb playoffs. Didn't have it, stole my money $21.50
Sling TV FREE TRIAL is a scam. I was charged $74.98 after free trial. I called Sling TV, but they refused to refund me. STAY AWAY from this scam Sling TV free trial.
Answer: They are rip offs fir real. I think everyone shpikd ban together gor a class action suit.
Answer: Go with your gut on this one. Click away from Sling
Answer: Don't even waste your time on sling. Don't know where you live, but there are so many more options today than there was say 5-10 years ago. Look around.
Answer: The ROKU rocks! Just avoid SLING TV at all costs. When they rip people off the FCC will not make them give you the money they owe you. The FCC just says We received your complaint and you should be hearing from SLING. What a joke! I am out $50.00, because SLING told me they were only taking major credit cards or the SLING cards. I purchased 2 $25.00 SLING cards to pay my $40.00 bill. The cards only come in $25.00 amounts. It would not take them. I called and called and got different CS agents. The cards would not go through. I got all kinds of reasons the cards were not working. I finally dropped SLING and went back to Spectrum. Something I vowed to never do. The day I called SLING to tell them I no longer wanted their service, and to tell them why I was unhappy the CS agent told me that the cards only work on the bill due date. Blah blah blah. I dontt know what happened with SLING. The service was great for a long time. Then they went to those stupid cards that would not work.
