I did not pay for the upgrades and am just using the free version. I love all the layouts and how easy it is to personalize them. My only criticism is that the final product cannot be saved on the computer so it can be printed out at a separate location. As far as I can tell, you have to use Smilebox to order prints. I understand that's how their company makes money, but I would like more flexibility.
In the beginning, they were great! There was simply nothing out there that did the things Smilebox did - and so easily, too. Now? Years later, the selection has grown to an amazing degree, and the topics covered run the gamut! The artists are all so talented, thinking of how to put things so much better than I can, but making it easy for me to use their work, and just add my own photos to bring the 'card' to life! It's more than a greeting card, not quite a pure video, or even a static album or memory holder... it's all that, and more.
The subscription price for the year is well worth it. I've actually saved more money than spent because I no longer buy greeting cards. I make a Smilebox special greeting, save it to CD, put on a cute label and off it goes, in the mail, in it's own little plastic holder, and wrapped in a CD mailer! PERFECT!
Smilebox has earned it's name in my family. Everyone loves getting the CDs and now, lots love making their own!
For years I have enjoyed sending ecards from smilebox. Great assortment from birthday invitations to christmas cards and anywhere in between. Smilebox creates a canvas where I can create my masterpiece. I love when family and friends reply with comments. For those who haven't used it give it a try, you wont be disappointed.
Smilebox uses predatory, unethical and dishonest billing practices. If you want to cancel your "Trial" subscription, even after one day after their trial time period ends, they will automatically charge your bank account without notification for a full year's subscription. They charged me $51.47 without any authorization or recourse. Refunds are absolutely refused and they do not provide any telephone customer support. If you want to throw your money away and receive nothing in return, go ahead and try Smilebox. In the meantime, they steal your money and laugh all the way to the bank.
Suddenly I realized I had missed a friend's birthday. Quickly googled free cards, signed on to SmileBox and though my technical computer skills are nil or next to none, was able to create a smashing card, which hopefully will make up for my forgetfulness.

I think I've been a member of Smilebox for at least 7-8 years now. I've made everything from graduation & birth announcements for myself and family to advertising a vacation home for rental. It helps make my creations look profession & impressive.
I created the best birthday card for my mother, better than any other card i could have bought. 10 pictures and every one with its own story of how much my mom means to me and me kids.

Enjoyed designing an invitation to a friend's surprise bd party. A little expensive to keep as a monthly basis. Probably would not use it enough to make it worth $6.99 per mth. Like that they give you a 7 day free trial. MAYBE the annual cheaper cost would work for me. Not Sure!
It's good, but keep using the free account stuff, the upgrade does not work. Customer service, horrible!

I've been using smilebox for over 5 years. From birth announcements to memorial tributes and every single one of them has had such positive responses. They're unique and the time put into them are appreciated.
Downloading is easy. Putting together any of the projects are also easy and fun.
Answer: It sounds like the pixels don't support the size you are trying to view it in. Try shrinking the output and see if that helps. If all of your pictures are still blurry, make sure your software is up to date. Hope this helps and congrats on your wedding!
