Snapfish has a rating of 1.3 stars from 488 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers complaining about Snapfish most frequently mention customer service, christmas cards, and live chat problems. Snapfish ranks 134th among Photo Printing sites.
"I wish I could give zero stars.
I created books that I wanted to purchase on the "Buy one, get two free" special that expired April 15. But there was a technical problem with one of the books where some of the pictures would "shrink" when I went to review mode - it looked terrible! So I went to online customer support chat. They said it would have to be sent to the higher up technical team. That was on APRIL 11. I have "chatted" at least 5 times, e-mailed once, and finally called and talked with a supervisor on MAY 2! Every single time they assured me that it had been "escalated" and that a request had been sent to the tech team to resolve the issue. Now it is MAY 11 (a FULL MONTH later) and I still have heard absolutely nothing and the problem is not resolved. This is the worst customer service I have ever experienced. All anyone will say is that it is still with the technical team, who, of course, cannot be contacted except by them sending a message... Looks like I will have to find another site and start these books over from scratch. I will never do business with Snapfish again. "

Thought that I was buying from the OLD Snapfish which was a good company with good products. I was not aware that the company had been sold to a shoddy outfit with outsourced customer service and below par products. Although my order finally arrived, I was misled by their poor website wording and holiday incentives (like reduced 2 day delivery) only to find out that even though you pay for 2 day delivery the clock doesn't start until they actually create the cards which can take many days (in my case 10 days). I could not check on my order status on-line and did not get a confirmation email (always "in process") so I made the mistake of using their on-line customer chat service with someone in India. It was a complete waste of time. The customer service rep could not confirm anything (even when I could expect my order) and since it was obviously going to arrive too close to the holidays, I had to replace my order on another site with great service and fast service. I emailed (auto reply), had a confusing conversation with customer service online, and tried to cancel the order plus get a refund, but their crappy website would not confirm a cancellation. The cards finally arrived (more than a week later than promised) and customer service then sent a note that they would not give a refund since my cards had already shipped (vicious circle of confusion).
I will never use Snapfish again because of the misleading website communications and awful customer service experience.

I paid for a year's worth of service for my videos and now they are all gone... The customer service still hasn't responded after a dozen emails over the past 2 weeks. F this website.

I had a problem with a credit on an order… horrible customer service… their (800) number listed on website doesn't exist per the chat person… don't order from this group!

1. The pictures in my Snapfish photo book are pixelated and not nearly as vivid as my originals. My home printer would have done a better job.
2. I used the simplest template - one photo per page - and they still managed to mess it up. Photos are far off-center or cropped off.
3. Shipping is outrageous. $36 for 2-week shipping.
4. Worst customer service I have ever dealt with. I have been in contact with five representatives in the last five days and I am still without resolution. I get the run-around and of course, the trump card: I will have to accelerate your request to a supervisor" and these "supervisors" NEVER get back to anybody. They want to give me a full refund only if I send the books back and pay for shipping (Um, no. I can throw them in the garbage as well as they can, without paying for shipping! The point is to get my money BACK.) Or they want to send me new books. (Um, no. The Christmas party for which these were supposed to be gifts is TOMORROW.) Or they want to give me in-store credit (Um, no. I am never ordering from them again.)

I ordered a photo wall clock online on 03/28/2020. I was given an estimated delivery date of May 13,2020. My credit card payment was taken within a couple days of my order date. To date (05/27/2020) I have still not received my order & have heard nothing from this company. On May 15,2020 I did a Live Chat with a representative within the company who was of No Help, kept thanking me for my patience, & apologizing for the delay in my order. All without a satisfactory result. I Live Chatted again on May 26,2020 & after asking for the status of my order, the representative disconnected me, ending the Live Chat. I immediately called back & once again got no satisfactory results & this representative also abruptly ended the Live Chat. So, here I am $47.00 later, with no product & no one to talk with me to resolve this unfortunate situation. I'm not confident that I will ever receive my order, based on my experience so far! I strongly feel that I need to spread the word about this company by sharing my unfortunate experience! This company - Snapfish - needs to be exposed!

The worst customer care support ever! I bought a photo book and have bought several here before. There is a review and buy section after you are done with editing. I made one photo of the background for both pages which is an option but when printed the one photo printed separately on each side. So instead of a sunset going across both pages it was a picture of the sunset two times. This happened on many pages in an 11 x 14 book that I bought. It looks absolutely horrible and I'm embarrassed that it came out this way. Not my fault and not in the review section when I approved the book. I could understand if I made a mistake on one page but not on several pages. You cannot talk to a live person you just have to chat with them person that has terrible broken English. Did not listen or understand what I was saying and then looked at my project and said all of this was exactly as I approved it. There is a software glitch and I will never ever order from this company again! They said someone would email me. Seriously I'm supposed to have an email chat with someone!? So frustrated I will never ever use this company again and I would never recommend them to anybody. I'd give them a -1 star on reliability and a -1 star on support. I did not feel heard or cared about. This happened on a couple different books that I bought and I absolutely no I did not make this mistake myself. Flushing this company down where it belongs.
Tip for consumers:
Do not rely on the edit mode. And then after review and Buy, you cannot count on the fact that what you have a proved is what you will get.

Snapfish was running a 70% Off photo tiles. Tiles were $3 each, so 16 tiles for $48. Shipping is where they get you, $56 in shipping. Can't use more than one coupon code. Not so much a deal.

I never write online reviews but here I go. After 3 years - goodbye Snapfish I will be headed to other businesses. Photo order placed Dec 15 for delivery Dec 23. Order never arrived. No update or status on webpage. I can understand delays and mishaps but customer service was appalling. Contacted them by chat three times and no one could offer an explanation, clarity or timeframe for order. Just that a manager would contact me. Manager did not reach out until Dec 28 to say replacement order on its way. No explanation why a week late, no apologies for order mess up. I asked for reimbursement of shipping as it was expedited yet arrived after holiday and week late, and they offered only half. How cheap. No accountability for an order that missed deadline entirely and was a week late? Shipping reimbursement was the least they could do—if not full refund. The people handling customer service don't seem to understand and are dismissive. How many customers will Snapfish lose before they wake up? A simple apology and update on what happened when I first contacted them would have satisfied me enough, but instead I got the runaround for a week. Bye Snapfish!

Ordered 100 photo Christmas cards on 12/8/15. For the past few years, i would have received this order within 3 to 5 days. It is now 8 days later and there is no update to let me know when I can expect my order. No phone number for customer service. The email and chat customer service is a joke, just as others here have stated. There were 500+ people when I checked the chat queue just a few minutes ago. Little do those 500+ customers realize, once they get to the top of the queue, they will be disconnected after possibly waiting hours.
Wish I had read these reviews prior to ordering my Christmas cards this year. Do yourself a favor and do not continue to be a Snapfish customer, and spread the word among your friends to stay away from this site. There is no excuse for such a horrible experience in 2015 with so many other options! Also, with ANY company that I use & spend momey my money with... if they have customer service who can barely speak English and are outsourced, they are automatically on my NEVER ido business again with!
Good Luck & Merry Christmas to those other Snapfish customers having problems!

I created a photo album for each of my children for Christmas gifts... but only one of my albums was mine! I HAVE SOMEONE ELSE'S PHOTO ALBUM, NOT MINE! Who has my album? I am guessing that the other party was giving it as a gift too! Snapfish online chat "customer service" (I was customer 91 in the queue) stated they were sorry and that they would try to make sure that it doesn't happen again on FUTURE ORDERS! Are you kidding me? I didn't respond for 1 minute as I was discussing this with my hubby, so they ended our chat and I had to start over (again, 89th customer in the queue)!#! What makes them think I will order from them again?!

If I could give zero stars I would. Spent hours uploading my pictures and placed my order. It was supposed to take about 2 weeks. When they never showed up, I checked the tracking and it said they were still processing. I waited another week and tried to contact Snapfish which is not easy, you cannot speak with a real person. They have a phone number but it's just a busy signal when you call. I finally did the live chat and they told me the order was canceled because one photo was blank? Never got a text or email letting me know there was a problem with a photo. Which does not make sense anyway. "Just don't print that photo" I re ordered - waited another two weeks. The day they were supposed to arrive, I received an email that morning saying they were cancelled. Did the live chat again and " a photo was blank" Of course the live chat person could not explain what that means? Just reassured me my order was cancelled and I would be refunded. I've now been waiting for about two months for these pictures, so I decide to just have them developed thru Snapfish but Walgreens actually develops them and I can pick them up the same day. I show up to Walgreens because Snapfish page says my photos are ready to be picked up and guess what? Walgreens says Snapfish never sent them. Another "Live Chat" they tell me a "PHOTO WAS BLANK" if I don't know which photo is the problem and I cannot speak to someone about it, how am I supposed to fix this problem. Ridiculous customer service. I will NEVER use them again.

Wish I read all of these comments before purchasing a canvas from them. The item came in extremely pixelated and blurry, you literally could not see the people, just the color of the outfits and skin, no eyes, mouths, nose, nothing to tell one person from the other. I called and explained that in the preview, it did not look like this, which is why I ordered it. The lady said that in the preview it WAS blurry on their computer, that I probably just couldn't see it on a phone... I told her I was on a MacBook and she said "oh, yea you wouldn't be able to tell on that either." Um... what? Either way, she refused a refund. Even though I spoke to someone on the chat earlier who said they could offer it. DO NOT USE THEM. Don't be a fool like me. Even though they say they offer refunds, they will NOT. And if they offer a credit, you will STILL PAY FOR SHIPPING which is usually more expensive than the actual product. Stay away from this place.

We spent hours developing a photo calendar for friends for the holidays and then spent $500 bucks on them. The calendars come individually wrapped in cellophane but we opened the first one and it looked great. Now all our friends are contacting us to let us know there are random pages missing from many of the calendars. Some are missing September. Some March. There is no pattern, rhyme or reason. Endless attempts to get a refund or corrected calendars from Snapfish have been useless. Their online "chat" folks have very dubious skills in reading or comprehending English. The "supervisor" our complaint was forwarded onto just sends an email template asking that we upload a photo of the "defective" image. How can you take a photo of something that is missing.
This was a $500 bust and waste of time and the company clearly doesn't have any commitment to customer service once they have their money. STAY AWAY FROM SNAPFISH AND SAVE YOURSELF A MISERABLE AND EXPENSIVE EXPERIENCE!

I've emailed with no response. Sat for numerous hours waiting for "live chat" only to get told there is no one available. Phone number they gave is not a working number. Can't tell me when my order will finish processing but won't cancel my order. I will NEVER, AND I MEAN NEVER USE THIS COMPANY EVER AGAIN! I am reporting them to the BBB.

I ordered 2 small photobooks and some prints. All the prints had what looked like a hair in the same place on the photos. The photobooks were terrible quality, looked like they had been printed on a 10 year old home printer (low res and faded, despite using high res images). What's worse is that one of the photobooks had a few pages of pictures of someone else's baby (I'm assuming my baby is in some other customers book?!). I spent a long time on two live chat sessions and then half hour on the phone to them. They made a huge deal of giving me credit for one slightly larger book, instead of the two small books I had paid for. I still have to pay postage on the new book (and postage already paid on the two useless books). I also have to spend hours remaking the photobook, because despite the dimensions being the same, I cannot use the existing project for some illogical reason. I honestly don't know if it's even worth ordering it, because I cannot trust the quality, or even if it will contain my photos!

I have made a few books through snapfish.com. They have never came to me without an error. The purpose of my writing this review is as follows…. I made a Lay-flat book of my son's wedding. The starting price was $90. There was a max of 100 pages. I had a 60% off coupon and paid additional money for 2 day shipping. I placed my order on 12/8/13. About 7-10 days later, I began contacting snapfish through email. The reply message was that someone would be in touch with me within 24 hours. I heard nothing. I wrote again and again. I finally received a reply that they credited my account for the cost of this book. I tried to explain, I didn't want a refund, I just wanted the book! I heard nothing, I tried the live chat…every time I tried to speak to someone, there was a 30 minute wait. Most times…. I got busy with doing something else an missed when the live chat person became available and the chat was ended. Eventually, I waited 30 minutes and finally spoke to a live chat person and was told the book was out of stock! OK…. That sure was frustrating…But at this point, if and when this book does become available. I won't be getting my book…. They already issued me a refund AND there is no more 60% offer available. It took me days and hours to complete this book timely by 12/8/13 to take advantage of the 60% off special…. And I ordered the book in plenty of times before Christmas. I'm not in a hurry to start over again with another company. I can assure you, I will NEVER use snapfish again. When you have a problem…. Their customer service SUCKS! They don't get back to you!

I paid the highest amount for prints to be delivered on the date as noted on their site. The day prior, the order showed as "shipped" but the tracking indicated that the package was scanned, but not out for delivery, so not technically shipped. I initiated a chat who then referred me to email. Every time, they kept saying the system said the order shipped -- which I could see myself and -- and they could not provide any additional detail on when the order would actually be shipped. I was told a number of different things every time I inquired further -- it must have been lost by the shipper (but if it was not with the shipper yet, not sure how it this could be); that they could reorder the prints to be delivered in a week from the date (but where was the original package that was scanned? And what about the extra expedited shipping I paid for?); just wait a day and if you still don't get it let us know; you probably won't get the order (why not?) so we'll send it again (ummm. And who could trust that this would happen?); and every other runaround. I finally asked them to cancel my order (which if it was "shipped" according to them, how could they cancel it?) and give me a full refund. I wasted an exorbitant amount of time with customer service, on the order it self (it was 150 wedding photos, each one different quantities), reconfiguring the order on another site. An enormous waste of time and exceedingly frustrating. They may have been a good company in the past, but they are TERRIBLE now. DO NOT USE SNAPFISH!

I've used Snapfish many times over the years for all sorts of photo books, gifts, and prints. I received a photo book yesterday. The pages of the book are very nice, but the cover is awful! After just taking it out of the box, it was covered with my fingerprints. I was so excited to look at my book, that I just ignored it. After looking through it, I left it on the table. My husband picked it up a little while later and when he put it down it was covered with prints. Again, inside pages are fine, but cover is low quality that shows every little smudge (we are adults with clean hands, not toddlers!) Customer service was polite, but had me take photos of what I was talking about and upload them to a new album on their site. Then they offered me a 40% refund. How is that helping my smudgy book that I'd be embarrassed to display? I have other photo books from them that are fine, years after receiving them. They definitely lowered their quality. Such a shame, as it is a user friendly site and always has special deals going on. Shipping was pretty quick too. But, there are too many competitors to stick with them. Putting a book together is too time consuming to not be confident that it will be good quality.

I've had to delete my account after many happy years of using Snapfish. The reason? The new improved website DOESN'T ALLOW YOU TO DELETE PURCHASED PROJECTS!
Apparently the only way to get these pictures removed is to close my account! The reason I was given was that 'it is my proof of purchase'. What a joke! No thanks - regretfully taking my business elsewhere.
Tip for consumers:
DON'T USE IF YOU VALUE YOUR PRIVACY!!!!

I have been trying to access my photos for YEARS from Snapfish. BEWARE, once you create an account they keep your photos and you can never get them back. God forbid you ever change your email address, and can no longer access it or you forget your password and can not receive a link to that old address... they have no other way to confirm your legit. ONCE YOU DOWNLOAD YOU WILL NEVER BE ALLOWED ACCESS TO YOUR PHOTOS EVER AGAIN... this should be illegal. We have precious family photos of deceased and infant photos we can not have access to. DO NOT SIGN UP FOR THEIR SERVICES. The customer service reps are heartless and rude.

Run, Run away. Go to another site worthy of your business and willing to help in anyway get you access to your photos they hold hostage.
