I have purchased many items from this company, most products were to my satisfaction such as style, colors, and quality; however, processing time takes few days before item is shipped and then it takes a very long time to recieve it. I had paid extra fees for fastest delivery, still it takes a long time to get it. They should do a better job with faster processing and faster delivery.
The last couple of time I ordered items from Soft Surroundings I was dismayed that after I got my confirmation email, I was told the item would be available but not for a couple of months. Okay, so I agreed to wait. Then at the last minutes I got emails indicating that they item is no longer available. Geez, I don't need to purchase goods from this company when they advertise goods they cannot produce.
I ordered 3 items recently and did not receive a confirmation; therefore I called Soft Surroundings They told me the order did not go through and to call back the next day to confirm. I called the next day and was told no order. Therefore I placed another order with a representative. The order came. The next day a duplicate order came. I was charged for both orders. I sent one back unopened. I called and was told I would be credited for the duplicate order. I was not credited. Both orders were on my credit card statement. I called again and it was argued I had only been charged once. I had the statement in my hand with both charges. I was placed on hold forever. It ended up I have to dispute the charges with my credit card company. I will never order from SS again. The customer service is outsourced and is poor to say the least

Was in touch with Gabriella in San Antonio who sent out the dress that day. (Friday) and I received it on Monday!

The purchase was billed and shipped the next day but the return took 12 days. By that time the size I needed was out of stock and the dress could not be exchanged. Because the dress couldn't be exchanged I was not refunded the shipping. The sizes are not consistent so it is difficult to determine what size to order. Not paying for shipping again at the tune of $15.95 which seems rather high for a light weight summer dress that weighed less than a pound. I believe the shipping price was very inflated compared to other on line purchases I have made.
I purchased a cold shoulder top, quite expensive, and the shoulder seams and front seam are outside, the side seams correct. Rediculous and customer support insists it was intentional. Poor quality, poor design and nothing washes well. Made in China!
I have stopped purchasing from Soft Surroundings for more than a year now. When I first started shopping in the stores and online, the quality was excellent. The shipping charges were crazy and not competitive. Still, I shopped there. Then the quality of the workmanship started going down, design concept is good... workmanship is horrible! A flannel shirt with a cute design on the back that came off after 3washings in the gentle cycle, a nightgown that lost its elasticity after a few washings, stitching that unravels, pin holes near seams that cause unraveling in garment, etc., etc. I shop where there are no shipping charges and the quality is consistent. I was a pretty consistent shopper. Its a shame.
First off I used to love Soft Surroundings. I'm not sure what has happened but they have gone to overpriced cheap clothes that if they aren't backordered for months they just rarely fit right! My husband bought me a 250. Gift card 3 years ago and I have only purchased a lousy overpriced tshirt with it and somewhere lost 50. At least! They don't credit the gift card back they send you "gift certificates" with odd amounts on them with no dates. You can't look up your past purchases on their website. Its ridiculous! The customer service people are so rude!
I placed an order for two items on April 5th. One item came right away, the other back ordered and was to be shipped May 15th. I waited but no order or email explanation. Could not phone them because if Covid. Emailed customer service- my order will not be shipped until July 29 th. An almost 4 month wait is unacceptable. Canceled my order.
I am SO sick and tired of receiving their catalog, falling in love with something and not being able to receive it for MONTHS. Ordered a simple white T on 1/5 and was told it would ship on 1/26. NOW they are telling me it will be 3/21 before it ships. Obviously they are taking orders and THEN manufacturing. This has happened to me more than once, and BEFORE the pandemic, so can't blame that. Previous orders meant for vacation didn't make it either. VERY FRUSTRATED! PS. Love their stores.
Answer: I would have said, forget it. Their service is very slow, both receiving and especially returning. Plus the shipping to you is high and then you pay a terrible amount to return it. I won't buy from them again. Linda.

Answer: There is obviously a valid reason that there are NO reviews of items on their website. And that's because the overwhelming satisfaction rate of most customers is horrible! Save your time and headache, and skip this company over.
