I have been a Soft Surroundings shopper for a few years, but not any longer. I recently purchased an item that I was not satisfied with. Thinking it would be easier to use return label and mail item back. I did just that. A week after mailing it back I called customer service (there was no tracking number since it was picked up from USPS by FEDX) and began my first phone conversation with a totally incompetent rep., this person told me item had arrived at their location and would be processed in a few days. I asked about total refund... purchased item was $84.97. Was told refund would be $74.39. I question that amount because I read $7.95 was cost of returning. This rep. Told me the difference was for a tax on the shipping label! At that point I ended the conversation. I was not going to waste my time with this person. I watched my credit card for about 10 days and still no refund. So I tried calling customer service again. This person was equally as incompetent as previous... and when I strongly suggested I speak with a supervisor I was told I would be told nothing different. That it takes time for refund. At this point I was waiting 19 days.
Later same day I tried a different customer service number and spoke to a rep that had a brain. Or so I thought. I was told credit would show on my credit card ($77.02) within a day or two. This morning I checked my credit card and there was a credit from Soft Surroundings... only problem is it is for $66.44! I have no idea how that number was determined and at this point nor do I care... I will never do business again with this company. And I suggest any potential shoppers be careful with this company...
I have always been very pleased with the fit & quality ofmy purchases. I must admit I am saddened by negative comments!
Just like the name, they have the kind of clothes that make you hug yourself. Along with softness they have style. They also have amazing bedding
I purchased a top, but the interior seams were scratchy. The top was washed - they wouldn't do an exchange
Made a purchase for which I paid in full. Following this purchase they billed my credit card $18.33 monthly for seven months. I didn't realize it until after seven months had passed. They told me I was signed up for their rewards program, which I had not, and there is no record of such on my account, and the amount for their rewards program is $16.99 monthly, not $18.33. They would not reimburse me and just repeated, as if from a script, that I was signed up for their rewards program. I called back three times and was told the same exact thing by three different people. Apparently they are in the business of stealing from their customers. This company use to be decent, but they have changed dramatically from years ago. BUYER BE WARE!
Answer: I would have said, forget it. Their service is very slow, both receiving and especially returning. Plus the shipping to you is high and then you pay a terrible amount to return it. I won't buy from them again. Linda.

Answer: There is obviously a valid reason that there are NO reviews of items on their website. And that's because the overwhelming satisfaction rate of most customers is horrible! Save your time and headache, and skip this company over.
