I recently got back into doing puzzles. I saw a beautiful Italy puzzle on Spilsbury, and went back and forth due to the cost of both the puzzle and the shipping. The pieces are poor quality, and as I started sorting through the 1000 pieces, I was super disappointed to see ripped pieces, bent pieces, and some with the picture actually missing from the cardboard. I couldn't even find the pictures floating around to glue them. I called, got an Indian call center, and he offered a refund of the puzzle, but not shipping (which was $10.95), or a replacement. I begrudgingly took the replacement. It came today, and while I hope the pieces are intact, clearly it's the same poor quality cardboard. Now they send me endless discount offers, but this has so burned me I won't buy again. I am wondering, are they the same company as Bits n Pieces? They have the same area code, and even same website layout. At any rate no more puzzles from here for me.

Ordered 11/1/16. As of this date (12/7/16) have not received. Emailed 5 or 6 times with NO response. Called and was told it would be here by Christmas. I check my order status daily, and every day the delivery date has been moved ahead by one day. They didn't have any problem taking my money though!
I ordered 4 puzzles. After contacting customer service several times it took two weeks for me to receive them. I asked for a credit or refund. They gave me five dollars off my next puzzle order. That will be wasted because I will never order from this company again.
I placed an order several weeks ago and still have not received it. When I called, they said I could expect to receive it maybe by early-mid December. No apologies or compensation were offered to offset this inconvenience. I ordered the present for my mother's birthday and that has already past. A this rate, I'll be lucky to get it by Christmas.
If I could give this company 0 stars I would. I ordered a puzzle 2 and a half months ago never received any email or anything I just got a email 3 days ago saying my order was cancelled. This is the worst company I have ever dealt with and the most unprofessional place. I don't know how they are in business. Stay away unless you like getting mad. I hope nobody makes the mistake and orders from this place
I received a catalog and was appalled to find a "dancing solar Jesus" on page 5 and Jesus soap to "wash your sins away" on page 7. Does anyone think these people would dare sell a dancing Mohammad or Allah soap? Why is it people seem to think they can insult and denigrate Christians with impunity? Help put these people out of business - spread the word.
I ordered three puzzles and was immediately charged $9.99 for shipping of those items. Received a note that only one puzzle was available so charge for shipping should have been $7.99. Yeah, try to get THAT back! When I called, the woman actually yelled at me that it was the correct charge. I will have to go through my credit card company to get that resolved. Also, the free puzzle was damaged with a big hole in the center of it. Is "free" how they get rid of their damaged stuff?
Sketchy company. Cancels orders and charges your credit card for it anyway. Does not refund shipping costs. Customer Service appears friendly and helpful and tells you they will honor store credit and not charge the "extra $2.76" as a courtesy for all the trouble then sends you a bill for it with the due date a couple of days away and threatens to charge you late fees. Like I said... buyer beware.
I placed an order for $17 on November 28 and needed them asap so I paid $19 for express shipping. It is now December 4 and have yet to receive the puzzles. I called to be reimbursed for the shipping or cancel the order was told that they would not reimburse the shipping as the shipping time is when it leaves the warehouse and it had already shipped so I couldn't cancel. Do not order from them, there are other sites
On November 24 I ordered several items for Christmas stocking stuffers. I received an order that listed 5 items but there were only two items in the package. I called on Dec 10 and was told they would send replacements. Tonight I received notice they had just been sent 11 days later and I could expect them on January 3 well past Christmas. This is a very unprofessional way to handle business and I will never order from them again. What a waste of $25!
Got an email Spillsbury was having a sale. Ordered 15 sale items on 4/14/21.10 items were shipped 4/16/21 - a little slow, but OK. Never got the remaining 5 items, got an email cancelling 2 of them on 5/3/21. Finally contacted them on 5/12/21 - said the other 3 are out of stock. They charged me $17.99 for shipping on the 15 items, only refunded $2.13 via hard copy check - that doesn't make sense to me. Don't have a sale and let people order things you don't have and rip them off for $17.99 shipping. Plus they are supposed to give you a free puzzle, that didn't happen either. All around poor service.

I ordered four puzzles online from Spilsbury on Feb. 8. After two phone calls and their explanation that they had changed warehouses and were having problems, I learned that they had started "reprocessing" my order. After two weeks I finally got the order on March 4. I will NEVER order from this online vendor again. All they offer is excuses--no customer service whatsoever.
I paid $7.99 extra for "express shipping". My order is scheduled to ship (not delivered) for 5 business days after I placed the order. Ridiculous. I don't know when I will actually receive the package. Be careful about spending extra money for so called express shipping.
Twice ordered, 1-opened box to find figurine (The Paragon St. Francis with Animals Statue, Saint Francis of Assisi Indoor or Outdoor Home, Yard and Garden Decor) shattered obviously by box damaged from China. Replacement same thing. One would think that a solid figure would NOT rattle in box. Why ship another busted item?
Second (and last) time ordering from them. Last order was on 12/2 and STILL waiting. Quick to take your money, but very S-L-O-W to ship. I don't think they really care either. Just an FYI... Bits and Pieces, Jigsawpuzzles.com and Spilsbury are all the same company with lousy service.
Third time ordering. They were extremely slow the first two times, I gave them one more chance. Again very disappointed. No communication. Had to call this things time, as I did before. Was told 3 puzzles ready to ship, and they were waiting for 4th one to come in. I said send the 3, and refund on 4th... cause I did not want to wait 2 more weeks. They refused to refund money! Told me they will ship the 3... and for me to call back once they ship those, and tell them to refund me on the 4th one. I hope they told me the truth about sending the 3 now. But I doubt it. They lied about the date the 4 the one would be in. Says on their website Dec 8. Lady told me on phone, the 15th. That's their way of getting your money. When I asked for refund, she put me on hold and said "Let me see if that's a possibility.". This is very unprofessional! Poor business practices. DO NOT EVER ORDER FROM SPILSBURY! You will regret it.
I ordered 2 puzzles, but was only shipped one. The one I didn't receive was marked off on the shipping document so they knew they were not shipping one that was ordered. However they thought it was acceptable to go on and charge my credit card for both puzzles. After a long struggle to finally get a customer service agent on the phone I was basically told too bad, I only got a store credit, which they bragged never expired. If I had bought one and returned it, I could understand the store credit only. But to charge me for something they knew they weren't sending I consider robbery. I did use my store credit, but will never shop with them again and won't recommend them to anyone!
Ordered 3 1000 Piece puzzles. 2 of the 3 had 2 pieces missing. The third one had 1 piece missing and 2 duplicate pieces. Was going to request a refund but after reading the reviews (which I did not do before ordering) I won't bother. I will not order anything else from this site.

Stay away! Ordered puzzles on April 1 for my Grandmother's 98th birthday on April 25. Puzzles were marked as "in stock" and estimated delivery in 1 week. Puzzles still not delivered or even shipped on May 12. Company will not respond to my messages. Don't use this company.
I spent over $51 for the 1000-piece "Caught Napping" Spilsbury puzzle (from a painting by Persis Clayton Weirs) for my wife. She became thoroughly frustrated with edge pieces that didn't lock together--they had to be Scotch-taped--and the amount of "puzzle dust": She put the pieces in a colander and shook it. Too bad I'd not read the reviews prior to the purchase; I will "eat" the $51+ and not bother to contact the company. As another reviewer said, If I could only give less than one star...
I ordered an item from an eBay seller, oscon. Us. Azl8pxqh, on 11/29. The listing indicated it would be delivered between 12/14 and 12/28. A few days before Christmas, it still had not arrived and I was told by the seller that it had shipped and would be there by 12/28. It never came. On 12/28, I requested a refund. The seller provided tracking info to eBay showing it had been delivered. I called to appeal and eBay refunded my money, NOT the seller. On January 3, I received a postcard from Spilsbury saying the item was out of stock, not available and "you have not been charged." What a joke. Buyer beware, this company seems to be participating in fraudulent selling on eBay, not to mention hacking into UPS for a phony tracking number.
So this was my first order to get gifts for recipients BEFORE Thanksgiving as well as ON Thanksgiving day. Ordered 2 weeks before Thanksgiving. Checked mail every day, no delivery. I emailed multiple times. No answer until I "yelled" at them scolding for not getting back. Finally, they responded saying that it would be shipped as soon as possible. Hadn't even been shipped. Waited, waited, 5 days passed, emailed them again. I complained, and they had NOT sent yet! I expressed my disgust with hem which I do not often do. And they apologized promising to RUSH/SPEED MAIL it to me to receive ASAP. That was well over a week ago. I thought it would come the day after they promised me rush mail.
I emailed again, disgusted. They said (different staff member) saying that I would receive it in 5-7 days from their email that day! Do NOT buy from them. I was relieved to see that I was not the only one scammed by and lied at from them endlessly.
Spilsbury puzzles aren't so bad. As a company their very, very poor choice of shippers, FedEx Ground is lousy. Order placed on 17 November arrived 23 December. WTF? Just from Ohio to Washington? The order kept not being delivered, day after day it said it was on the truck but never was delivered. The outright lies on the FedEx delivery tracker were amazing! It took so long Spilsbury reordered on 12 December. It is 30 December and that order has never arrived. Spilsbury-DITCH FEDEX GROUND! Do not order from Spilsbury just because you are not likely to receive your order.

How lousy Spilsbury's choice of shippers was. When asked about the shipping all they did was reorder my stuff and it never arrived at all! Spilsbury seems to know how bad their shipping is, their answer is to reorder? That doesn't get a mid November order here in time for Christmas!!!!! Fix your problem...use a different shipping method and see your reviews improve.

Placed an order in early March. Was sent a "free" puzzle in a couple weeks. Rest of order was canceled because it was no longer in stock. Was charged over $12 for shipping the "free" puzzle. Will never order from Spilsbury again.
