“PERFECT”

My company ships a lot of media mail (music books). With the USPS, we have to take the packages to the local post office. They won't allow you to print media mail labels on their USPS website. However, with Stamps.com, we are able to print the labels and the postal carrier picks up the package and scans it on the spot. This saves us a lot of time and money constantly driving back and forth and standing in line! The other Stamps.com options are great. I recommended Stamps.com to everyone we know. We have added a photo below and blocked out the owner's address for privacy.

“Too Many Flaws, Inconsistent functionality, High Price”

Their system is very buggy... it will work for a few months on one computer, then suddenly stops working... they'll advise to change to a different browser, or state they no longer support Apple computers (thanks for that, we don't all have PCs here at our office); often their website is down. Half the time they want us to update the downloaded program, the other half the time they want us to log on and only use it online. Their monthly fees are way too high for small businesses, and their staff is hard to reach (to put it politely). If you can find another service, DO SO!

We find our self using shipping easy way more often than stamps.com due to there site being so slow and always being glitchy on our computer we start at stamps and then once it don't change pages or glitches we move to our other services. We downgraded to a cheaper plan to give it a longer chance but soon we will be fully closing the account why pay for a service I can get free. At another company with same rates.?

Have tried getting in contact with them for pretty much a year to no avail. I have called multiple times to be told that they can't help and to try to call back another time. I have also been told multiple times that a supervisor would call me, but no luck. I have tried contacting through social media as well but they just direct you back to the toll free number. I did finally get a supervisor to call me but he called when I was driving and asked if he could call me back so that I had all of my notes in front of me. He set a time and never called. I have reached out multiple times since and still no luck. I even went as far a sending a letter to the CEO, but no luck there either.

The product is good overall, but have noticed a few issues and want to go over things with them to get corrected but can't seem to get anyone to reach out that knows what they are doing or care to assist.

We used a different postage provider before switching to Stamps.com, and they were absolutely horrible! Stamps.com is so much easier to use, they provide better services, and they far less expensive than their well-known competitor! Stamps.com beats the competition hands down!

I've been finding it easier to buy more postage stamps online since a while after having joined your service, and I've also checked out various options while on single ones. I've also made a lot fewer visits to the post office.

It is very easy to use this system. It's easy to load your money to purchase supplies and postage. You get emails stating your money purchase so it can be used as backup for your charges on credit card. Everything is just EASY with Stamps.com. I'm so glad we changed. We're saving a lot of money each month.

Site works well and is easy to use. For a small company, the monthly fee is WAY too expensive to justify continued use; we will be dropping this monthly expense shortly absent a lower price tier option for entities using a small volume of postage. Really not so hard to buy stamps and hand to the mail carrier.

Had trouble for some time now, lots of glitches. Prints orders twice, sometimes three times which sets us up for huge financial losses. Busy warehouse can't always "catch" their countless errors. Program times out a lot, double the work to re enter weights and measures causing a huge time loss for our warehouse team. They they try to call you to get you to "upgrade" (of course for a higher charge) to another program that's "more stable". Why wouldn't you just introduce the stable program to all your customers? Makes no sense. As a business who ships 75 to 100 packages a day we've now had to add additional personnel to "watch out" for their countless errors and site issues. A lot of trouble to use, and I don't see them fixing any of the glitches any time soon.

Our office is located in a newly developed area and the closest post office is 17 miles away. With Stamps.com we are able to send out our mailings without needing to make a trip. Being able to purchase postage, order supplies on line is a real time saver for us.

Often when I try to paste an address into Stamps.com, I get an error message and it says "Fix now?" If I say yes, it closes anyway.

Also, when I switch from packages to envelopes, it frequently will not stay on the label position that I select, so I have to send for refunds more often than I would like.

Everything has been so easy... sign-up, creating stamps and package labels. We are a small company and this company fits us perfectly. The bigger outfit we used before was a total rip-off, hidden charges left and right.
So happy we switched... no complaints here!

This is a wonderful way to buy stamps online.

I would have given them a 5 except they promised $20.00 dollars postage if I mailed a postcard back to them using a stamp from my account. I did, but the free stamps never showed up. Oh, well.

I've used two different postage meters over the last 30+ years I've been in business. I paid a lot more & got a lot less. I had to pay a fortune for ink & service. Letters got jammed more times than I cared to count. I love this method of posting my mail. Of course, I don't send out the volume I used to, but does anyone? I love the reduced rate on postage & that I can do a multiple of the same rate. It works great for me.

Absolutely zero communication with Customer when trial period expires, and zero communication of monthly invoice and auto-billing. This vendor does not notify Customers so they can continue to charge payments without Customer knowledge.

While I have had a few issues with Stamps.com, the friendly folks who answer the phone when I call always resolve the problem... even when it takes more than a few minutes. In terms of overall cost savings, not much when you consider the monthly fee and cost of supplies, but you sure can't beat the convenience!

While I find it convenient method to mail ie. Print my own stamps and send my own smaller packages, the service does not save me any money. The only true part of their add is "never go to the post office again". Past that the 1st class stamps presently are $. 50 which you can print yourself. I print on sheet of 25 so I pay $12.50 for 25 stamps. The paper to print the stamps must be purchased from stamps.com. I forget the cost/sheet but its not really inexpensive. Plus to use the stamps.com service is $17.99/month. You have to use a lot of $. 50 stamps (saving $. 05/stamp) to make up the difference in the cost of the service + the cost of supplies etc. I guess you can say I save time going to the post office and the gas spent doing so, but the service would still be the more expensive for us. The convenience is the only real winning part.

Tip for consumers:
took a bit of time to get used to service but nothing really complicated

Products used:
regular and postcard stamps, mail small packages (scale provided by stamps.com), postage printing sheets, supply of labels for packages, supply of return receipt for packages sent with that service

I am an attorney who uses this in my practice. It's quite an expensive service to use, especially if you are mailing out letters. I would have used their certified service, but I would have had to pay extra each month for an upgraded account and for the supplies. The USPS sent me certified cards and tags for free. I like the one-stop shopping, but I don't like the extra cost of everything. One monthly fee should seal the deal.

When I first used Stamps.com, I did not see the value but after the first 2 weeks, I realized that not only was the postage less, but there was no more wait time at the post office. I am a bookkeeper/tax preparer and constantly mail business letters to clients. I put letters in envelope, stamp it with printed stamps, and drop them off in the outgoing boxes at the post office. I smile when I see long lines at the post office and all I do is walk in and walk out. It shows me how precious my time is. I have a client that buys and sells on Ebay and I turned him on to Stamps.com and he is another happy customer.

Thank you Stamps.com for making my business run smoother.

When it opens as it should, (quickly!) Stamps.com is convenient and fairly free of glitches. Unfortunately, it opens as it should only about half the time. I've found that disconnecting, counting to ten, then reconnecting the weigh scale usually gets me in, but that gets old and should have been fixed by now. In the plus column, funding the account is very easy. Back on the negative There are some glitches to be aware of. E.G.: Large envelopes being weighed to determine postage. The program will often show a postage price that, if I run it through again to be sure, won't match the second. Not good for clients to receive mail with postage due.

Nice to be able to print postage an not stand in line at Post Office. Makes life easier. Also keeping all my addreses in one place is so helpful. I don't have to look up addresses when I need to mail something.

Stamps.com is easy for me to navigate and use and saves me from making trips to buy stamps. Printing both postage and addresses in one place simplifies my day. It also keeps me up to date on postal rates automatically.

I mail at least 1,000 pieces monthly to seniors turning 65 & eligible for Medicare. I buy my lists in Excel format; export in CSV; import into stamps.com. Voila! Address, stamp (with discounted postage); stuff the envelopes and off to the local USPS office who loves getting my metered mail... I get to bypass the lines!

I was a customer of stamps.com for a few years. It's great if you have a business that requires a lot of shipping because you get discounted shipping for every label you purchase. The savings really add up. However, I would not recommend for personal use unless you send out a whole lot of personal mail because there is a monthly fee whether you are using the services or not until you call and cancel. If you ever have issues, the customer service at stamps.com is very helpful and pleasant to speak with. Overall I would give them two thumbs up!
