I called three times yesterday to cancel a seat reservation. Each time I was treated so courteously. Everyone understood the urgency of the matter and acted with speed and kindness. I'm very impressed with Student Universe's customer service.

Told me they are applying Emirates policy for cancelling my flights ($150) but after speaking to Emirates via online chat they were not charging their customers... seem to pick and choose which policy suits them?
Moreover the window seat option does not guarantee you a window seat... a waste of money.
Seemed like I was saving money in the short term but beware of this company!

My experience with StudentUniverse was great! I booked my flight a day before my trip and it was still incredibly affordable! In fact, much cheaper than Amtrak. I will definitely be using this website again when booking airfare.

I didn't realize initially that the cost shown did not include choosing seats. When I selected seats, there was an added charge (which was clear before I submitted the final payment). But probably if I had let the airline choose the seats for me, there would be no extra charge. Everything ended up more expensive, especially with other add-ons that seemed important (such as ability to change the flight, even if the airline has a problem).
Right time for the flight.

If I could give a minus star, I would. Bought a ticket with other student friends to go to California and then the pandemic broke. They refused to refund and are now telling me I crossed my deadline date for the next travel as though the pandemic is over. I did not choose not to travel it was due to a pandemic I keep telling studentuniverse for a year now but nothing. Travel was banned by the government; quarantine. They choose to reap where they have not sown. They discriminate give my friends their refund but refuse to give me my refund concerning the same flight, the same reason for not traveling; pandemic! Avoid at all costs not worth your money or the massive stress with dealing with this company.

Unfortunately, we are bound to the terms and conditions of the ticket you purchased as well as airline policies when it comes to cancellation, refunds & rebooking. I had purchased an international ticket for my son and paid an extra $150 for insurance that allowed a cancellation for any reason. When his passport didn't arrive in time because of Covid we had to cancel (in advance of the 3 day window). The insurance company only refunded me $135 and offered zero explanation. They won't talk to you on the phone and the appeals process says I have to wait months to hear. This company is a fraud!

The booking process was fine but when trying to cancel a flight i was informed that it would cost me more than the original price of the ticket and there was nothing they could do. Pretty much what you would expect from this kind of website

My experience using Student Universe for finding flights to Milan for my upcoming student abroad program has been great! It has made finding flights much easier & gives me a lot of options. I originally found my purchased flight for cheaper than I paid, but I had to wait an extra day or so & in that time they prices became more expensive. Overall, I still got a better deal!
ISA recommended this as a source to find cheaper flights for students!

Don't use this site! They have horrible prices and refunds will cost you 40 dollars even if you only booked the flight the previous day. Their prices are over 100 dollars more expensive than on other sites

Really great at helping find the cheapest plane tickets! There has only been one time where I have been able to find more inexpensive tickets on another site. They checkout problem is straight-forward and easy to use!

The ticket price was higher than the original airline website
Fake waste of money.To get get student benefits i booked from this website but instead of spent more for normal tickets.
When i called them to cancel tickets they were like that it comes with 150 usd cancellation.
But airline does it free of charge

Basically the title. I bought the tickets and it say that there was an error or something so I send and email and there told me it didn't went through so I have to went through, so I look for new one to book. I just hope I'm no charge for the first ones that didn't work.

I'm reading a lot of negative reviews about student universe but I booked a flight to Copenhagen, Denmark with Icelandair for $400 cheaper than airline prices and about $100 cheaper than any other travel booking site out there. So far I have not had any problems with my flight booked about a month ago leaving in November, so if you are reading this please don't let the other reviews discourage you. Student universe provides cheap flights and I stand behind their service. Will update review if I experience problems in the future.

I flew to Edinburgh, Scotland and back, last week. I used Student Universe to get my discounted airline tickets and they did a great job of issuing the ticket itinerary information and keeping me informed. I will definitely use them again for my next vacation!

Booked a trip to London with my roommate. We were both very excited to travel abroad, and it looked like StudentUniverse would be a good option. Unfortunately, a mandatory work obligation came up, forcing us to change our return date. To move the return flight up a few days was going to cost over $400 in fees, plus an additional ~$390 flight adjustment cost. We ended up having to completely cancel our flights, and were charge $460 in fees, just to cancel. Not a very student-friendly booking website.

Scott, I've further investigated and the tickets you purchased had associated change/cancellation fees of $200 per ticket (these fees are outlined during the booking process). Also, since you had used a promo code for your bookings for $30/each ticket and were refunded the price of the flight in full for each flight, we had to recoup the $30 promo for each ticket. We know it stinks to pay fees when plans change, but next time perhaps looking into refundable options might be a better fit. Please let us know if there is anything else we can do to help!
I use student universe very often but recently I see the prices are similar to other travel sites and not much difference. Earlier it used to be cheaper here. Overall still a good site but Prices can be better at-least to regular users like me

Was hard to get actual price quoted on website, online booking failed, I was pending my correct ticket pricing, I had to call, then still charger higher price, later got email of partial refund. Confusing, took hours and then long days wait. Got no price confirmation for days. Poor experience was disappointing. Used to be better in past.
I am faculty and I am taking students on study abroad. Used to be a good way to get discounted educational travel assistance.

We are always bound to airline policies, but most airlines have only waived cancellation fees for credit/vouchers, not for cash refunds, which is probably why you were informed of a cancellation fee.
