I attempted to cancel a reservation I made yesterday for a December trip to Florence. The reservation states cancellation free before December 15. Only they don't recognize the hotel confirmation number... Be positive of EVERY last detail before you finalize your reservation

It's not clear at all what are the cancellation policies. They always say that the ticket it's not refundable due to airline rules. However, the airline always say that they do cancellations, I just have to call the travel agency, in this case, StudentUniverse.
Do not buy flight tickets in student universe. You will regret.

Ian, when you select a flight itinerary on StudentUniverse.com, there is a section of information called "change and cancellation" (at the bottom of the itinerary) which provides details on any penalties, restrictions imposed by the airlines and any additional restrictions that apply to the ticket. Even non-refundable tickets may be eligible for a credit towards future travel, however, it is based on the airline's rules and restrictions. We would be happy to look into this further for you. Wow what a terrible website and company. They tried to charge me a $330 penalty (nearly double what the airline itself was charging) to change my flight destination amid the Coronavirus outbreak. I understand that last minute flight changes will demand a cost, but the fact that the airline was charging almost half the price of StudentUniverse is absolutely absurd. Also the customer service is trash. I waited 5+ hours for a callback about changing my flight. Never use this website! Book with the airline!

To be honest, I was not sure what StudentUniverse is when I booked my Condor flight via the Kayak website. But so far, everything has worked out well and efficiently, and the booking showed up on Condor's own website so no complaints!

The experience was very good. I always retrieve the booking from the Airlines' website and cross verify, and it was okay, the baggage allowance was the same as showed in Student Universe. I could not book the seats in the return flight, as the seat selection was with some added fee, but otherwise, the booking was smooth.
It always offers best flights in cheapest fare.

I had to cancel my flight due to getting accepted into the Correctional Officer Training Academy. My ticket cost me $257, and they said the price to cancel would exceed the ticket amount so they could not refund my money. This is such a joke. They also said that I can accept the credit to use for a future flight however, I would have to pay a $50 change fee. This site is such a joke. Why do I have to pay a change fee? I have the credit on file not a plane ticket with certain dates. I don't recommend them at all. They do not work with you, and they charge you for every little thing. I would recommend just paying a little extra on a different site.

I was told to forward a copy of credit card which I never received such request from any online company. Student Universe then canceled my flight. They did not even ask credit card company to complete transaction. This was a legit request. Very unsatisfied encounter.

I booked a flight ticket and applied a voucher before deciding to proceed the payment. I didn't check how much money was deducted, because that time I just want to check out the flight ticket within the time given. But then I realised the amount of money deducted was the actual price, without the discount that I applied using voucher code. Nevermind, I'm totally okay with that as long as I have the ticket.
StudentUniverse offers reasonable flight ticket prices and various vouchers for customers to utilise.

The web page indicates a cost of buying tickets, and when I bought them, a higher price was reflected on the credit card. The website indicated that I could recover the difference, however that was never indicated when I bought the tickets. I will not use this service again.

An airline schedule change has caused a misconnection in my itinerary. While in these situations for tickets booked directly through airlines the modification of the reservation is immediate, StudentUniverse's process to modify the reservation is a real pain.
First of all, I was NOT notified of the schedule change. I could have gone to the airport and notice there that I didn't have enough time to catch my connecting flight. After I noticed the schedule change, I contacted StudentUniverse to modify my reservation, as requested by the airline. 8 days has passed since my first email, and I am still waiting for StudentUniverse to confirm my new itinerary. Completely unacceptable.

Using Student Universe was super streamlined and easy. It made it easy to customize my flight, provided me with flight protection at a low cost, and allowed me to use a grant from my study abroad program.
In order to receive a grant from my study abroad provider I had to use Student Universe but I am glad I had to.

I often witness the bad experience with Student Universe with confirming the purchased ticket. The tickets often appear as "available," but after I buy my tickets. There will be an error which I have to buy other tickets, which I found pretty annoying.

I booked a flight to Tokyo Haneda airport from New York JFK Airport as part of my internship program. That flight allows me to choose some goodies, such as choosing my own seat or even having an option to add protection for my baggage. However, there is one thing that leaves something to be desired, and it is the refundability of the tickets. In fact, the tickets being sold in Student Universe should be refundable without any paywalls until one week before their departure dates.
I chose it, because a representative of my internship program recommended it to me.

Just stay away from this. There is nothing they can do to help. I had schedule clash and had to change my flight and I was told that I can't reschedule because my tickets were bought at a discounted price and the flights I was going to change were regular flights. Unerstand that I need to pay the price difference and service fee but this is not making any sense. Also cancellation gets no money back- I got this but the customer service was like a machine, saying that this is airline policy and not helping figure out any possible solution for the customer's good. Just, stay away, they are not helping AT ALL.

I'm extremely grateful for the amount of money I've been able to save for flights however the first time I booked a flight I wasted around $60 by choosing to pay for my seats through the app instead of when I checked in. I ended up getting stuck in the leftover middle seats so I wouldn't bother trying to pick seats in the app. Other than that I would definitely recommend and have recommended this to my other friends in college.
I compared prices on student universe with those on google flight and saw the drastic difference so I’ve used it ever since.
