I could not find any better site to book my flight as a student. All other sites had expensive flights prices but student Universe was the most affordable for me.

I wanted to switch my flight times and contacted the help desk; they were very efficient, helpful, and flexible in helping accomodate flight changes without making me pay exorbitant additional fees.
StudentUniverse's flight costs are below the market rate: huge savings for a broke college kid like myself.

Ok guys, you don't have to choose a seat, it is an EXTRA FEE.
The website tricks you into thinking that you have to choose a seat as a required material but it's not, you can continue to checkout directly. I thought I had to choose a seat, so I paid $60.00 extra fees for that which I am not willing to pay. BE CAREFUL.

Hi, we do not state seat selection is required. We also display a message "continue to checkout" so that you can skip. If you have paid for seat selection, you could contact our customer service team for a refund. However, some airlines may require a fee for selection. Sorry that you misunderstood the message.

Cancellation is the worst. If a person mistakenly books a trip then will have to go with it. There is no room for changes and cancellation without a cost. Not within an hour of booking.

I received booking codes when I booked from the website but no email with a big message that said CONFIRMATION. The webpage wasn't printable no matter what I did, it cut out the graphics and was warped, hiding the flight information. I'm not confident the tickets will be there when I need them.
Also the way flights are displayed, no local arrival time is displayed just the duration of flight, if you're changing time zones or crossing the dateline this is confusing.
Used it years ago and it worked then for a domestic flight.

Eventually they agreed to honor the price the website showed, but it was poor customer service until that point. Their internal tech issues should not be the customers responsibility.

The deals are good, and checkout was easy but the site should have "Manage Flights" features instead of having nothing and you're required to call if you want something.

Hi, thank you for the feedback and we will definitely take it into consideration! However, currently customers would still have to contact us if they wish to change/cancel the flights. You could also use the airline's reservation code to manage the booking on the airline's website.
Honestly I was overcharged for changing of flight 2/4 the base airline would have offered me & spoke to THREE different customer service representatives. The first one told me he could not even provide me with change of flight details and to look up deals with the airline myself. After that, The second person didn't email my itinerary through so I needed to call back and spoke with another person who had informed me I had not paid the full change price which was a LIE because my debit card had been used & the money was taken + the previous customer service representative had informed me that I was in fact paying the total amount there and then. After that student universe "looked into" it for me which resulted in them hopping back on the phone with me- totally ignoring the fact they had just asked me to pay an additional $200 & brushed past it by saying to check my email inbox for itinerary and I would like baggage protection.
Honestly don't even think they know what they're doing. Won't be going through them again. Completely unreliable
